I'm taking Omeprazole 20 MG. Does it alter you heart rate as a side effect?
I had palpitation at night, and the nurse said to try it without for a while and see if the papitation comes back. It didn't but now after 3 weeks i started taking it again and i feel my heart rate is heavier at night.
I haven't heard of that but just about anything is possible. Ask the doctor about generic Pepcid or generic Zantac and see if either of those will work for you.
Get PRILOSEC. It's same thing as NEXIUM, just OTC.
The reason NEXIUM is RX only item is just another BIG PHARMA thing.
If you have medicaid, get RX for NEXIUM so it can be covered, if you don't have any prescription coverage at all, just get PRILOSEC, it's the same THING!
Nexium last 15-16 hours and Prevacid 11-12 hours before the pH starts back down. Some people cannot make it 24 hours without an additional dose. Best to change to generic Prilosec because it is much cheaper.

not just a "big pharma thing", but a "FDA thing" too.

I've seen some doctors give Nexium/Prevacid @ BID dosing...is there really a difference between QD and BID?

I'm a pharm.tech so...that helps out a lot.
Their insurance though doesn't care and still makes it their brand copay of like, 9 bucks. so it's cool. :D
