can you make a video on how to disassemble and reassemble. i cant seem to figure out why my bolt doesn't lock in place to fire. this gun was giving to me from my great uncle and i would love to shoot it in his memory, thank you kindly
I have one of these in excellent condition. Came from my grandfather. Love this gun. Whats it worth? Never saw the box before. that is awsome. Watch To Hell and Back. The Audie Murfy Story. In the opening scene, he is a boy and shoots a rabbit with it. It has to be the same gun. Curly trigger gaurd and you see him pull the bolt back to cock it.
I bear hunt on Kodiak Island every year with a rifle just like this one. Its awesome! I use only shorts to give the bears a fair shake... Nice Video. Thanks!
I have a mod. 1904. My Dad paid $12 for it around 1937, from a neighboring farmer he worked for. The stock is cracked under the barrel but it still shoots fine. Thanks for posting your video.

Thank you for not letting that thing sit in a vault or behind glass. Just proves what real craftsmanship this country used to have. Nice rifle. I can only dream of getting my hands on one of these.
@woodlandcammo27 lol my great-grandfather recieved his on his 7th birthday, (he was born in 1897). He had it for the whole of his childhood. He gave it over to my grandfather when he was a boy. My grandfather allowed my dad to shoot it on his aunt's farm in north georgia. I have shot this rifle many a time, and it was my first gun experience at age 5. I am set to inherit this rifle for my childrens use, me bing first born, once they are born. As far as we know, around 40 bricks have been shot.
Ran across this video while trying to do research on mine. I have on of these that my father gave me when I was 13 years old, his grandfather gave it to him. I've seen many photos of these rifles and have yet to see any that are even close to the condition of mine. I swear it looks like it just came out of the box. Neat little rifles and mine is very, very accurate. Loved shooting it when I was a kid.
the thing i love about 22's is that they are so cheap and cheap to maimtain and fire. iv just got a small little .22 single shot. its very small and very fun:P iv just bough these new rounds and i highly recoment them to anyone. they are CCI stinger rounds. jacketed hollow points. they are very powerful but a bit expencive. $6 canadian
that looks like something my grandma has, only the shells don't detach from the bold,i thought it was made that way but perhaps is not working correctly.
Hi pretty new to u tube I recently purchased a 1904 boys rifle in very good condition but I am not real familiar with this gun as this is the first one I have owned I had a question for you, the bolt on these rifles are they meant to slide out when you pull the bolt back & depress the trigger? as this one does not come out any advise would be much appreciated as it will save me taking it to the gunsmith thanks.regards kevin from oz (Australia)
Nice! I've read about that rifle but I have never actualy got to see one, until now, So do you actualy owne this rifle? It's funny that back then a .22cal rifle was ususally considered a "Boys gun" when now a "boys gun" would be a BB/pellet gun or even an airsoft gun. Today, .22 rifles are not boy guns
I 100% agree! I have a modified Crossman 2240, .22cal, Co2, pellet pistol. And I would never let anyone under the age of 18 shoot it. This gun shoots 14.4 grain hollow-point pellets at apx. 700fps.
