OMG is that really you time has passed. Still sound good, cool, remember you singing in a club in Glasgow in the 80s with a band call faux pas, young and nieve I thought you were soooo fit then, haha, oh they were the days LOL Well done, you made it !!!!! I agree the songs sung with roy hay were brill some really soulful songs on that album, brilliant wish someone could down load them.
NICE TO SEE YOUR STILL MAKING GOOD MUSIC JOHN,, youl have no need to visit pollok now,,i do think about you even now after all these years,, you are brill at what you do...marion x
I was the drummer with a jazz/funk band called Faux Pas which played around Glasgow in the mid eighties. John was our lead singer. Nice to hear from anyone who remembers us
OMG! I am having a coniption fit because I had no idea Robinson Reid aka John Reid was still out there singing and writing. I thought his group with Roy Hay from Culture Club was amazing and I still count "Tell Me Why" as one of my favorite songs of all time. I have now been informed tonite about NIghtcrawlers and now this video. Im SO happy to hear he has become so successful in the msuic world. I iodlized him as a singer and I love this song! I have to buy your cd! Thanks, Ian!
This CD and DVD, "Yesterday And Tomorrow", is available right now. Right away.
Either from Amazon or on E-Bay.
I ask you, those of you who watch my videos and enjoy my music, to just this once take the trouble to buy it online.
It sold so few copies in its first week that it's left me wondering if it was all worth it. PLEASE please, this once show your support. If I can get one and a half million hits of my videos on YouTube, then please can we just sell a mere few hundred CDs ???
Last chance to remind everyone - tomorrow night is the launch party for this album. You can still come to "142" in West Ealing if you just send an email to the yesterdayandtomorrowlaunch address at hotmail. It's free for all the fans and over twenty artists are performing their songs live, from the "Yesterday And Tomorrow" album. Don't miss this.
Thanks Ian and thanks John! I always loved your voice. Hope you don't me talking about this on your thread Ian, but do you know if the original soul version of Push The Feeling On (a great Drizabone-type version that I'm suprised never got play on the northern scene) is available on CD anywhere?
Anyone who wants to come to the launch of this album on Monday 3rd March, with twenty artists performing, is most welcome to. There is no charge, but you have to e-mail the yesterdayandtomorrowlaunch address which is on my main page in the bulletins. It will be a night to remember. Once we've filled the 400 places, that's it, so if you can come, then e-mail now, right away.
It was a pleasure to sing such a great song, Dont know how much longer i'll be able to hit those notes though!! man that's high. have a drink on me at the launch party and thank all the guys for there kind comments. Johnny Nightcrawler! x
You sang it better than anyone else ever could. Chuck Jackson's version is such a legendary icon, that it was almost impossible to tackle it, but only you could have done it.
thankyou tahira. ive been writing for everyone from kelly clarkson to i'l divo so dont have much time to come out of the dark!! my new nightcrawlers mixes r coming out soon so i might have to venture out sooner than i thought! J
what a fabulous old classic...and the tunes not bad either. Its great to hear Jon singing again and great that we are both part of this great compilation from Ian Lavine x
"All Over The World" has always been very special to me since it was the first Motorcity track I ever heard when I bought "The Best Of Motorcity Vol. 2" which had it as an opening track. I fell in love with this glorious track IMMEDIATELY and I would defy anyone who'd claim that Chuck Jackson's vocal could have been equalled. To now finally have John Reid in front of the mike, singing so fabulously, makes this song stand out as the classic it truly is.
I have a question...
who are the nightcrawlers, how many are they??
I mean of course I know John Reid, i have is let's push it album, but I don't know the rest of the band
