though you do have a point i seems morebiased han anything ele, i like this almost photorealistic style in some games its goo style and when used properly the game can look beautiful, years ago there was only ever a middle ground in styles because they couldnt achieve anything more
i see what ya mean, but not eveyr games is just a one scene view if you knwo wht i mean some games make really good efforst into puttin varity in the scenery and atmosphere like brutal legend, and halo does in some way, puts its true that so many games try to go for th very similar realisitic things, some of them look really stunning with it though, a good example of middle groudn is crackdown its like a perfect balance between cartoon cell shaded and photo realisitic
That's a fair point, but what I was getting at was more about how they had more freedom to choose exactly what middle ground they took. Whereas now they are all arbitrarily compelled to take the exact furthest edge.
I like games to look good, but I'm upset that people seem to think it can only look good if it is photo-realistic.

As I was updating this video I thought of some more things that I wanted to say, and I might make a second part.
As some time has passed and more games have been released for this generation I have figured out a lot of specific things that have bothered me.
My real point of the artistic style is to say: let's not get obsessed over photorealism and accept some of our shortcomings.
