I only "knew" the guy from internet forums. Even so - inspirational bloke. He had an incredible knack of helping you to look at things from a different perspective. Tireless worker for dog welfare who managed to unite people from a range of diverse - often (vehemently) opposing backgrounds.
RIP John, and condolences to his friends and family.
Bless you John, you will be so sadly missed but we will carry on as you would expect us to and never give up. Thank you for always being there for DDAWatch xx
The animals have lost a fierce champion. May John's work live on in DDA.

A friend of the dogs is a friend of mine. Rest peacefully, John, knowing that others will carry on the fight for you.

John was a wonderful, witty, eloquent gentleman. I knew him as johnderondon on dogpages and we loved him.
So sorry, there are going to be so many doggy friends waiting at rainbow bridge for John,
