I know it's very loud in the background. He was asking me questions about the dress too. It took me about 3 months to make, because it's all hand sewn and hand beaded.

Craig was at Ringcon in Bonn in Germany together with Mark Fergson and Lori Dungey....They were fantastic! Mark is there every year, and Craig almost every year. Craig is such a great guy, so nice and funny.

Oh yes. My friend's mom makes your kind of costume...and she made me this spectacular medieval-looking shirt. (It was modeled after the shirt Murtagh wears in the movie Eragon, if you know what I'm talking about.) And she made the shirt out of spare fabric.

It's amazing how the littlest things can turn into something wonderful.

I wish I could make dresses like yours...it's so beautiful...

Well I would say to just have a go at it. That's all I did, and as I say I'd never used a pattern and sewing machine before( even if it did chew up my fabric).

Ah, you never know, one day I might sell it, but it would be VERY pricey as it took me so long to make, with blood, sweat, and ( real elven) tears LOL!

Hahaha. Actually it was the first costume I had made with a simple pattern,( which usually look like the blue prints to a plane's control dashboard to me). I had to make the sleeve material as well as I couldn't find anything similar, so I dyed and cut applique shapes that I beaded and sewed onto lace. I don't think I'd want to make another one, put it that way.

It took about three months altogether I think, ( including making the crown). It was about one month just to make the sleeve material, ( I had to cut pieces and paint them with fabric paint, then hand sew them onto a lace pattern I had cut, and add beading.)

Craig was really lovely, and was genuinely interested on how it was made, how long it took etc.,and at the end you can hear him say that it's going to get filthy on the floor.( It was easy to wash off though).
