Dont you find that they can escape through the ventilation holes in the Kricket Keeper? Ive had to clip mosquito netting over the top, and the lid holds it in place.

Ever tried him with Black crickets? They jump less, make less noise, survive longer and my Leo prefers them to browns.

  • Thx. I haven't had that problem before, the crickets are too big and normally don't jump up there. I'll have to look onto black crickets . . .

  • i was talking about the lizard

  • owned. Dan is a male

  • good for you

  • i have a cage like you only bigger for bearded dragon

  • yup, when i get a beardy im going with a "breader tank" which is like and aquarium except deeper.

  • @dantheleopardgecko where do u actually keep the crickets?

  • lol the one that got away

  • its been two days i got my leopaard gecko and hes not eating

i also dont know how old he is dey said it was a juvenile is this a problem?

  • it could be. When you first get a juvi, you should let it get use to where it is living. Once he/she seems ok with the new place, you can try to feed him. If he won't eat for the first few days thats normal. You should be worried if he/she isn't eating after a week. Hope that helps

  • It Could be. For Juvi's you should let them get used to where it has to live. Once he/she seems ok with the new place, you can try to feed. If he/she won't eat for the first few days then thats normal. You should be worried if live food is rejected after a week of so. Hope that helps.

  • this has been the longest most boring video ever you need more enthusiasm im not saying this to be mean but it will be more interesting

  • XD!!!!!!!! lol. Yeah, i'm working on that. I might post a new one soon. thx

  • what animal is going to hatch out of it

  • hmm, not sure of the subject. If you talking about the wax worms, like i said in the video, they will hatch into moths (the great wax moth). Hope that answers your question.

  • i mean whatz gonna happen if you keep wax cocoons too long

  • nothing, the cocoon will sit there for a few weeks and then hatch. you can kind of tell if the cocoons are alive by picking one up, it should wriggle its "behind" around.

  • when u keep them to long what will hapen ??

  • good question. Crickets, if you keep them for too long they start to die off one by one. if they are kept in close quarters then they will die quicker. Waxworms, not quite sure why but some will shrink until death or turn black and die and others will turn in to cocoons and then wax mouths.

  • sie hai..

  • u should rally have a substrate for the wax worms like oatmeal or oats so they can eat it or put carots in there

  • My owner got another comment from Beardedragons with the same thing. He does that now.

  • y r u acting asive u r the gecko?

  • hey man thanx a lot i really enjoyed watching your great video keep up the good work and btw you know a lot of great and helpful facts bout these insects!!!!!:)

  • Thanks for the Great comment! I'll be happy to tell my owner!

  • hey dude you should put like oats on the bottom for the worms so they get some nutrition

  • good idea, do they absorb it or actually eat it? yummy!

  • preaty sure they just nibble on them

    mini do any way

  • Awkward how the crickets eat through plastic, what do they have? toxic saliva? haha

  • I think i heard you the first time! You tryin to call me def! O right this isn't the phone. Ha ha, you clicked the button twice!

  • Awkward how it ate through your plastic, how do the crickets do that? toxic saliva? haha

  • My owner forgot to say that the plastic was just heavy duty plastic wrap(It's actually the cricket bag they come in, its doubled) but anyway the cricket made a little whole and then started nibbling away. Smart thing Nick put 2 layers instead of 1!

  • nice vid :) im gunna have to get one of those tanks...i have a chameleon an i know waxworms can cause problems if you feed to many but ive looked on the net and it just says "feed sparingly". was wondering if you could help, any input would be gr8t.

  • Well for leo's like me, Nick feeds me 5 or 6 wax worms when its feeding time and then Crickets next feeding time. They are considered a treat but i get them ever other feeding. Also, My owner was looking at meal worms but after some advise from a trust-worthy pet shop, he found out that sometimes they can eat my insides while I'm eating them. But he did say if i really wanted them he could cut the heads off but I said nah so is just mr regular diet. Thanks for the comment!

  • I also forgot to add that too many wax worms all the time could make your chameleon fat. So you should be fine with a normal amount.
