oh my god do me a favour please dont put small crickets in there unless you want crickets in your room I had one and about 20 got out all over my room and the house one morning my mum looked in the shower on the floor below and there was one in there
sick! thanks for the help! how do you get your crickets out of the box when its time for feeding? do you open one of the caps for the tubes (didnt look like the cap fit exactly) or do you use tweazers and open the whole thing?
hi dan the video's you have made have been a great help for me and leo my leopard gecko leo is about 5 inches i wandering what is the best to feed him ive been feeding him waxworms i tried crickets but he didnt bother about them so i was wondering if you could help thanks from me and leo
i kinda folow some of what he says, but for my lizard i keep about 40 crickets in a 10 gal. cage with cricket feed and a little container of some wet cotton balls, they live for about 2-3 weeks, so more then enuf time to feed him
hey you know how expensive those criket keepers are i recomend and use rubermaid shoe boxes just remove the lid and use window screen ta da a criket keeper decorate as you desire. LOL
ok cool vid i guess but the beginning was creppy some kid holding a gecko turns around and says hi lol and vid was realy informative abouth the crickets i dont use tubes i just put egg holder things in it lol and shake it into a bag and blah
one of my leo's is only eating wax worms the lazy bastard. it can't be arssed eating anything else. and it is not ill she has a nice tail and has lot's of vitamins, can someone help me! (i subscribed by the way, good video)
my chameleon eats thsoe things. but my chameleon is so lazy that if the crickets have jumping legs he wont eat them. so i have to take them off! whered u get the cicket food holders???
You really take good care of your Gecko and his food, awesome to see!
Dont you find that they can escape through the ventilation holes in the Kricket Keeper? Ive had to clip mosquito netting over the top, and the lid holds it in place.
Ever tried him with Black crickets? They jump less, make less noise, survive longer and my Leo prefers them to browns.
it could be. When you first get a juvi, you should let it get use to where it is living. Once he/she seems ok with the new place, you can try to feed him. If he won't eat for the first few days thats normal. You should be worried if he/she isn't eating after a week. Hope that helps

hmm, not sure of the subject. If you talking about the wax worms, like i said in the video, they will hatch into moths (the great wax moth). Hope that answers your question.
nothing, the cocoon will sit there for a few weeks and then hatch. you can kind of tell if the cocoons are alive by picking one up, it should wriggle its "behind" around.
good question. Crickets, if you keep them for too long they start to die off one by one. if they are kept in close quarters then they will die quicker. Waxworms, not quite sure why but some will shrink until death or turn black and die and others will turn in to cocoons and then wax mouths.
hey man thanx a lot i really enjoyed watching your great video keep up the good work and btw you know a lot of great and helpful facts bout these insects!!!!!:)
My owner forgot to say that the plastic was just heavy duty plastic wrap(It's actually the cricket bag they come in, its doubled) but anyway the cricket made a little whole and then started nibbling away. Smart thing Nick put 2 layers instead of 1!
nice vid :) im gunna have to get one of those tanks...i have a chameleon an i know waxworms can cause problems if you feed to many but ive looked on the net and it just says "feed sparingly". was wondering if you could help, any input would be gr8t.
Well for leo's like me, Nick feeds me 5 or 6 wax worms when its feeding time and then Crickets next feeding time. They are considered a treat but i get them ever other feeding. Also, My owner was looking at meal worms but after some advise from a trust-worthy pet shop, he found out that sometimes they can eat my insides while I'm eating them. But he did say if i really wanted them he could cut the heads off but I said nah so is just mr regular diet. Thanks for the comment!

I also forgot to add that too many wax worms all the time could make your chameleon fat. So you should be fine with a normal amount.
