I like this MCI MC-5A. i remember Greyhound had a huge fleet of this buses back in the 70's and I was fortunate to ride one. This bus and the MC-7, 8, 9, 12, and 102A3 are my favorites!
55-60mph I don't see a need to push it faster. It will do 75 but there is a lot of vibration that I don't like... any ideas as to why? I have a few guesses but that all they are.
I would spend whatever it takes to get this wonderful coach in tip top shape and hit the road to California!!
