UK real cider drinkers don't consider Strongbow to be cider! Try looking for brands such as Weston's or Thatchers - not sure they distribute to the US tho'. Here in Herefordshire, UK, many farmers brew their own 'hard' cider - that stuff is potent - don't ever try to force out a fart on that stuff! Real cider here is called 'scrumpy' - it's totally flat, no carbonation, smells like old socks and gets you hammered! Nice review - keep on chugging!
@majorbossman I love strongbow, but yes, I do realize that in the UK it's basically "Chav juice". And I have had J.K.'s Scrumpy. It is probably mankind's greatest invention. It's kind of hard to find here in the states, and goes for about $6 a pint. Which is only about £3 for you guys. (God, I love England)
@joeevil5000 I'm English and no one here call's it 'chav juice'. I am a dirty working class Northerner so I cant really comment on Cider as the posh Southerners are very proud of their ciders but if it was a nice hot day (very rare up here in Northern England) i would go for a Strongbow over my usual of local brewed ales and guinness...

I just bought a 4 pack of this stuff and I have to say that it's really really good. Make sure it's very cold before you drink it. It is tart. I didn't get the bitter sensation, rather a very refined apple flavor. It's not sweet (which I really like) and that makes it all the better. This is the cider of choice if want a change of pace from all the different varietals of beers that are out there. I'm a beer lover at heart, but you have to try this stuff. You won't be dissapointed!!!
@joevill5000 nice review mate. Try Magners Irish Cider - it's expensive in England (don't know about US) but tastes great. Slightly sweeter than Strongbow. Also available in Pear! :)
