Ah, I remember playing this stage in the mission mode...made me rage a bit on the first mission and as you said in the discription, the track lacks ramps, but some how I got gold in my 10th try!

I like the Air Ride and the Grind missions. They are easy and let you skip almost all of the boring parts of a stage.

I haven't played Sonic Riders in a while, so I must ask: what was up with that random item in the fifth mission? Was it sort of just...there, or was it required for you to get gold?

@SuperSonicRider9000 Ah yes, that thing. It's appeared twice so far, and both times, I've forgotten to explain it.

That is a special machine part. It's not required to get any rank, but grabbing all of them among the missions (I believe there are 7 of them) will allow you to unlock one of the boards. I don't remember which.
