This game was and is amazing. I still remember it as one of the greatest racing games I've ever played, and I've played quite a few up to the new GT5. For the time the graphics and control were stunning. Drift was an element you compensated for, not something naturally thrown into the game because of its contemporary popularity. The AI was absolutely brutal. It wasn't either completely retarded or just faster than you as in current games, it was downright mean like you can't imagine.

@doctorwhoone They already did it, Death race is somewhat similar, they use enhanced cars but rather being set on jupiters moon of Io, it is set in a prison.

Lo otro que no me gustó de la versión 2.0 es que todos los autos manejados por la CPU te alcanzan fácilmente, a menos que apliques el cheat 'roket' o 'dural' dentro de las configuraciones del auto (cuando modificas la aceleración, frenos, manjeo, etc).

Es extraño ver cómo cambiaron un patrón importante al saltar grandes alturas con los autos. Estos pueden ser movidos a la izqierda o derecha mientras caes (un auto no debiese poder hacer eso).

Dude, holy shit. I'd forgotten how much I loved this intro. Y'know, I played this back in middle school and I'm now 23....and this intro is still cool as ever. POD actually has a really cool storyline! This cutscene has aged very well.

I was about 10 years old when I first played this. The intro was quite creepy but the racing scene at the end of the intro made up for it.
