we had the funnest crowd of the punk scene! good to see old buds fling by in this video, and a great shot of me diving off the pinball machine at about 4:26(with the triple mohawk).
it was always great to have the c-fucks play are club!
Holy crapazoids!!! that was some balls to the walls bonafied hardcore punk right there hahaha, man... i can't believe i never heard of these guys before
Yes, and notice who the drummer is. It's Steve Shelley who later went on to drum for Sonic Youth (one of the very greatest bands of all time). Steve was Sonic Youth's third drummer, and didn't join S.Y. until '85. He went on to become one of the greatest drummers of all time as well. The Crucifucks were one of the most respected hardcore punk bands out of the midwest at the time and had a national following on the Alternative Tentacles label. Great Stuff!!!
Doc Dart is amazing - I saw these guys in 1983 at the FoolKiller Theater in Kansas City, Mo.
Some asshole had stolen their entire box of records, so Doc Dart was truly pissed off. The opening band was Eat My Fuck, a classic local KC band...
Great times. What happened to punk? Oh yeah, Green Day graduated high school.
