I went when i was younger, The chandelier in the foyer bobbed up and down, i remember cos i was scared of it, anyway i went 3 weeks ago, the chandlier wasnt bobbing, the fountain was dry and the shutters on the windows were motion-less, what has happened?

Come to think of it, this is the Phantom Manor equivalent of my latest experience in the Haunted Mansion, because of people talking in the stretching room and when the ride stops in Leota's room.

God, I HATE it when people talk during the ride. A few days ago, we went to Disneyland, and I went on the Haunted Mansion for the first time in a LONG time. The Stretching Room and Portrait Hall were RUINED by the chatter of people. SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY.

Personally, I wouldn't think it's a matter of the ride breaking down. I would think there are a few Doombuggies that allow handicapped people onto the ride. They just have to stop it temporarily so that they can get on and off. I've seen this happen a few times.

it always bugs me the way people talk all through the opening and stretching rooms of the Haunted Mansion...ruins the spooky atmosphere.

@JeJuIsland567 In another portrait, the bride is standing in small lake and when it stretches you can see a sea monster who is trying to grab her foot. The last one, which I find is the creepiest, you see the bride standing near a patch of flowers. When the portrait stretches you can see a zombie/skeleton trying to crawl out from beneath a tombstone who stands in the flowerpatch.

@JeJuIsland567 I can tell what's on it, since I've been on the ride. One portrait contains the bride and her groom having a picnic, the strechted portrait reveals a snake, ants and other insects creeping towards them to ruin the picnic. In another picture you see the bride on a boat, when the portrait stretches, you can see the boat is heading towards a waterfall.

That room is as you said is an elevator and as it descends the portraits stretch and reveal differents parts of the paintings which show 'the rest of the story' of the person in the portrait.
