@Nhoshishi one of the things you can get in either episode 4 or 5, not sure which. I think it was on the icesecret level but i'm not sure. there's something you can kill early in the level which drops you the special weapon, and then you hold onto that and near the end of the level you find another one and that upgrades it to the one you're looking at right there. it's the best thing in the game really.
nice vid. the blue special lazer is pretty effective but i always try to get also the laser as front gun and sonic as rear weapon THEN you're almost invincible and bosses just are too weak for you!
Zica laser can be obtained in many other places, but dun make me tell exactly where cuz right now i don't remember exactly. I dun like zica laser cuz it's not continous. Food weapons suck.
Actually, that's not the Zica Laser. The "Blue Laser" we were talking about was the Special Weapon used in the vid ; that's the SDF Main Gun.
I agree with you ; the Zica Laser is not as tough as it looks. The ordinary Laser is much better, and to me, it seems that Zica Laser level 10 is STRONGER than level 11 (it only shoots 1 laser instead of 2, but it's faster, and it moves along with your ship instead of going straight forward).
Oh, and the Food Weapons are cool, but kinda weak overall.
dude ur weapons are really the worst xD u got guds! geting trought Brainiac with that set of weapons shows some talent ^^ try using Laser ( normal , not zica ) Mini guided bombs and fire storm ^^
sonic pulse sucks a lot as a rear weapon. mini guided bombs are better. and those battleships are nonsense, 2 plasma storms and all bosses are ripped instantly, plus in hard modes those are quite useful in certain situations.

Umm, why don't you use something better for sidekicks? The Zica Flamethrower is nice, but it seems a bit too short-ranged a weapon to be really effective.

I've just played Tyrian 2000, and I found out that the SDF Main Gun can only be found on the ICESECRET level after ICE EXIT. To my surprise, I also found out that the Nort Ship Z has the SDF Main Gun as a secondary Special weapon, the first being Astral Zone.

I don't care about my sidekicks. >:O besides, I'm not knowledgable about them since everything else I have tends to slaughter a whole lot without any help, especially without the help of a potentially limited ammo gun that i'd probably have to press another button for if I wanted to conserve it. I don't really look at any guides or anything, I just play the game and buy some expensive piece of junk and that's basically how the whole game went.
Good show. Can't say I ever gave most of the weapons you were using a chance, but they looked pretty good in action. Then again, the main cannon is an amazing weapon.
I can't remember, but I think i had played through the game a lot already on the save I loaded.. it might've been the highest one there is. If there was a way to check i'd update you on that.

You get it in a secret level of Episode 4, ICESECRET. It's at the very end ; you can't miss it.
It's definitely the strongest Special Weapon.
This game's weapons kick ass. And the Food Weapons were a great addition.
Anyway, goo job.

Imho the best equipment is:
Front weapon: Constant Laser
Rear Weapon: Sonic Pulse
Shield: Microsol Class C
Ship: The Stalker 21.126
and for Sidekicks your combo Plasma Storm + Battleship Firebomb

sonic pulse sucks a lot as a rear weapon. mini guided bombs are better. and those battleships are nonsense, 2 plasma storms and all bosses are ripped instantly, plus in hard modes those are quite useful in certain situations.

My Mega Soundchair works now!
