  • The BOSS engines are great becouse they are quad cam rather then push rod. Id rather a Ford V8 over Holden well Chevy

  • @g1980p it is a given, fair play to ya, it all depends on what you want the car for?, bottom end grunt or top end scream?.. there is no such thing as a bad car with the mods of today, i just favour the japs for their amount of tech, i am a bit biased its true, but sayin that, i am a sucka for a cuda... ps, Pulsar GTI-R... Niiice!!! evil lil machines

  • 5.0 and 400 HP ... not bad going... problem is, the japanese squeeze more than 400 out of a 2.0, the germans have managed 530HP from a 1.5 Diesel and the british managed around 1000HP from a 6.0 standard... not winning any hp wars are they?.. but they do sound Beautiful!

  • @sugarpot21 us aussies here have managed over 1000HP from our 4.0L Ford inline 6 turbo :D still getting even more as our knowledge improves.

  • @sugarpot21 Fair enough, but how much torque do the Japanesse and german engines produce, and how much does the british one cost? I don't know the answer to these, but you can't compare apples to oranges. My current car is a standard matching numbers 289 ci 1965 ford mustang fastback (200hp), my previous car was a modified 1990 GTiR nissan pulsar (294hp). Nissan was massively faster in acceleration, but the muzzie sounds better and does a way better burnout, two completely different cars.

  • @Sasquatch279 are they basically a block that you can run the boss 5.4L stuff in it and bore it out to get the 6.0L ??? cause ive been told the 5.4 is at about its maximum stroke size, i know the new coyote is basically an alloy blocked version of the 4.6 which is bored out to make 5.0 instead of stroked to 5.4

  • Look for the Boss 6.0L in the 2011 or 2012 GT500!

  • 25k :L atleast 50k i would assume..have spent about 80k on my 2003 BA XR8 and now produces over 600rwkw and about 880RWHP...0-100 in 3.5 seconds (with traction :P) but 2.5 seconds without traction :L

  • hahahaha you think that a pushrod engine is more technologically advanced than the BOSS quad cam engine? really mate go check yourself. The mustang supersnake makes 725hp with a 5.4lt supercharged quad cam V8 and the camaro also makes 725hp but it needs a 7.0lt supercharged pushrod V8 to do it. The BOSS motor is under capacity by 1.6lt but produces the same power?? how can this be from an engine with less technology as you so blunty put it.

  • Yamumsmyusername, they dont need to "pick up their game". Holden still use ancient technology, the boss engine is more advanced, and it is a smaller engine, putting out more power then the chevy. And in 2010, there is rumours Ford will be going back to a 5.0L engine, alot more powerful than the ford AND holden motors atm. Remember, bigger isn't always better ;)

  • Ford is bringing the 5.0 back with next years mustang here in america, producing 400HP. Im glad because this shows ford still has balls... 5.0 400hp and it takes chevy 5.7 liters.

  • @hvillecobalt Holden here now has the 6.0L V8 and the ford 5.4L smashes it around the block anyday, hell fords 4.0L inline turbo 6 can smash that 6.0L with no worries at all.

  • @AlexCameronMulcahy the fpv 4l turbo makes the most torque of any aussie made car lol not bad and the boss is definitly a more efficeient mottor then the ls series, a twinturbo boss powerd gt40 in america managed a higher mph in the one mile run beating all the mega power supras that kill 8 liter vipers!! impressive shit

  • how much hp does your car have then ? because quite frankly 800hp at the wheels is more than enough power for most people. I would be sure that not alot of people in australia are just pumping 800 reliable hp in their street cars. oh that's except for my mum's triton. because im like you and i have no idea what im talking about haha

  • he said 576 RWKW, in hp is 771.84rwhp. The next run we did on a dyno dynamics machine, run 808rwhp and if you check out the last run we did it run 820, I have put it on one of my new videos, check it out.
