  • Max Strirner is, in short, one of the fathers of the beautiful, artistic ethic known as egoism, along with Nietzsche, and arguably Hiedeggar.

    Stirner's philosophy is anti morality/ethics. Though to say that assumes there is such thing.

    To put it short, egoism =/= "ethical egoism"

  • @DerrEinzige Yes, but what I mean by "ethic" is not a code of ethic, but a philosophy of ethic, which, in stirner's case, is a philsophy that calls for the abandonment of ethic.

    Fair enough.

    However Stirner's egoism is very different then Nietzsche's.

  • @DerrEinzige yes, but that is because Egoism is not a unified school of thought, rather it is a catagory of philosophies. The same is true for existentialism, individualism, and nihilism.
