  • @SoyuzBot I have no idea. I just bought some cheap ones at the supermarket ;)

  • can you use chicken breast instead?

  • If you use a larger pie tin, should you change the baking time?

  • Just in case it hasn't been emphasised enough, you make really awesome stuff. Thanks, love the vids!

  • This might be a stupid question, you are putting raw chicken into the ziploc bag, right? Or is it pre-cooked?

Also, I love this video! You are well spoken and easy to follow!

  • @yesilikedrpepper The chicken was raw ;)

  • hi, i just found your videos and they are so helpful... can i just use a larger pie tin to cook it in?

  • Hey david, i have a question . What is the difference between a purple onion and a green onion , because in my house i only have purple. and which is more suitable for baking? thanks

  • @wiwa116 or cooking

  • @wiwa116 or cooking

  • @wiwa116 Purple (or red) Onions are better for salads because of their color and milder flavor, while green onions are better for cooking as they have a much stronger flavor :)

  • Thanks for the video! It looks absolutely scrumptous. I love your videos!

  • love your recipe....

    rambi :)

  • should used some cream of mushroon or cream of chicken

  • Very tasty looking indeed. I shall certainly give this a try soon. Thanks for another inspiring video!

  • can i replace chicken stock with liquid gravy? cause thats all we have in Malaysia..

  • i love your videos! please make more

  • Is it possible to use soy sauce instead of the Worcestershire?

  • @TheDarkAngels222 Yes, you could use soy sauce instead ;)

  • With what can I replace the chicken stock ?

  • @LANETOMOJE Vegetable Stock ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow water!!! Just kidding

  • Presumably you can use any small vegetables you like? I ask because I have corn and peas on hand (but no carrots).

  • @vidoodeum Yes, you can use whatever combination of vegetables you like ;)

  • Nice...it was hard at the end like cookie??

    How it tastes?I thought it will be a soup..not a cookie :D

You tell it to us like you were excited oh and ah its funny but nice recept :D

  • Your eyes are gorgeous!

  • 220 likes, 1 dislikes :(

  • hi, I wanted to know if I can use Short Crust pastry instead of Puff Pastry. Also, how long would I have to cook it since Short Crust pastry cooks really fast... (in about 10-15 mins in the oven I have).

    thanks!

  • @jspeckle7 Shortcrust Pastry and Puff Pastry usually take about the same time to cook, so it's up to you. I used Puff Pastry because I like the flakiness of it, but Shortcrust will work just as well ;)

  • hi, can i use short crust pastry instead of puff pastry? would that work and how long do I have to keep it in the oven? I think it cooks much faster than puff pastry. Thanks!

  • I like the Pie but I wanted to ask, being that I am no good with pastry is there a good way to get a nice bottom crust as well because I always like the bottom crust.

  • Your eyes are so radiant!

  • Buy*

  • @YouAreMyEnemyBwahaha At the supermarket?

  • Whered you but the ingredients?

  • @YouAreMyEnemyBwahaha Have a look in the video description ;)

  • hi, can i replace Worcestershire Sauce with something else because i dont think they sell it at where i stay. also, the pie fillings for the pie, can i eat it as a soup without putting it in as a pie.

  • I would like to know how to make pot pies in cup cake pan. I have done a search and nothing

  • @aboyname You can't make pot pies in a cup cake pan. They are designed to be served individually, which is impossible if they are cooked in a cup cake pan. You need to use ramekins or some other form of individual oven dish ;)

  • oh wow yummy, I should have watch this video before I attempted to make my sad version of chicken pot pie

  • Those pies look yummy, thanks for the recipe! :-)

  • can you use any vegetables u like?

  • @lilabarrett Yes, use which every vegetables you prefer ;)

  • If ever your in the states please come cook for me ...they look yummy

  • I appreciate you recipes. Always easy and look delicous. Thankyou.

  • It looks delicious but why not put a crust on the bottom? I find they are much more savory when you get. That crispy upper crust and the savory, gravy soaked lower bit. Also grape seed oil is a great, green, and healthier substitute for olive oil, I think it's cheaper too. Great video, hope u find my comment helpful.

  • @missxlittlexawesome There's not crust on the bottom, because these are Chicken Pot Pies. There isn't meant to be crust on the bottom ;)

  • @missxlittlexawesome I make this with 2 crusts too but we call it chicken meat pie and it's done in a regular pie plate or I use a cast iron frying pan as my baking vessel. I do this with turkey too. Classic pot pie is done in individual bowls and only has a top crust. I like both but I make the pie more often.

  • this looks good :- )

  • haha pot.

  • i love all your video and recipe... its so easy to follow...more power..and thank you so much

  • press 5 repeatetly ... jizz.

  • @ 3:35 , isn't that just regular chicken soup? :p

  • i am watching your video, right when u bring up the cup of chicken stock, i thought i dont have any chicken stock, i'm just gonna use a cube of chicken boullion and add water, then u said, i'm using the powder, haha

good recipe, i cook it and made Biscuits on the side, it rocks

    ROCKSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

  • Looks yummy.

  • How much liquid is in a cup?

  • @TRIXIETORTOISE 250ml ;)

  • Australians love their meat pies.

  • Made it last night, it was FANTASTIC!

  • Do you use raw chicken or pre-cooked?

  • @cherryblonde3 Raw chicken ;)

  • Comment removed

  • I have a couple picky eaters, would this still be good without vegetables?

  • @zyoshimoriz I find even picky eaters don't notice the vegetables in this one. They get distracted by the pastry and chicken! You can try it without the vegetables, but it will change the consistency ;)

  • okay wat can i say 1st nicest eyes ever best cooking and ur funny u should be tv not chef remzy ur more interseting!

  • you make the most delicious quick meals :D

  • do you have different stoves you use...cause i see different ones. lol keep the ice cream box on the fridge i mentioned that a while back haha...its a trademark now. i love all your recipes btw...when are you going to make garlic fried chicken i requested it a long time ago

  • Thankyou! I can't wait to make these. Also, my mum has the exact same pot as you. LOL

  • I love your vidoes!! You have really nice eyes!!!

  • wow what is this ???

  • can you use pork instead?

  • @sujukorea13 Yes - pork would be good in this recipe :)

  • I don't remember, but what happens if, when baking a pie, you don't add a vent to the pastry?

  • @KBAFourthtime Steam can build up under the pastry lid. Eventually the pressure makes the lid explode and you end up with a big mess in the oven!

  • aaarghh! evil eyes!

  • Can you use turkey instead?

  • @iiKarmelApple Absolutely! Turkey would be wonderful :)

  • He loomed right up at the start of the video I'm like AAARGH

  • kool honestly i never knew what chicken pot pies were, head about them on southpark.

  • yeah, its summer here in California, lol

  • if someone asked me i'd put some white wine before the vegetable stock and a beaten egg over the pastry (and sprinkle the top with a little sugar)

  • @edu35912 Sprinkle sugar? On a savory pie???

  • @OnePotChefShow believe me..it's really good

  • i bet your family must love your cooking, your great at cooking food and you look like a veary nice guy lol ;)

  • I'll give this a go.

    A very good presentation

  • that looks sooo tasty! thanks! :-)

  • ahh i just got sick.. can u make some chicken noodle soup plox?:P

  • Just learning to cook (at 62) and You Tube videos are a great help. Thanks for all your efforts. I'm in Chiang Mai and have an outdoor kitchen with temps in the 30's. I was quick with the frozen PP on the same ramakins as you have but the PP shrunk a bit in the oven. Pehaps should let it rest but it would melt. Don't expect a response. Just wanted to say thanks.

  • you da man!

  • i just found this channel and i've been just watching like 30 videos straight. you're a really great presenter- you've even got my 15 year old sister completely in love with your voice (she just shuts her eyes and listens) lol. uhm short question- can i just bake the pies in a muffin tray? i don't really have those ramekins. of course i'd have to line the base with pastry as well..

  • @amsani22 Sure - you can make these in a muffin pan with a pastry base. You can also do a big pie in a pie plate the same way ;)

  • @amsani22 I love OPC's voice too. I think autralian acvents are so cheerful! heh.

  • i love your videos, your voice and your eyes. Thanks for the awesome videos

  • If I can offer a suggestion: buy the take-away single serving size tin containers with cardboard tops. Cut the puff pastry to size but bake separately on a baking sheet. Make your chicken mix (or a double/triple batch!) and put into the little containers. Cool, then cap with the baked pastry, cover with the cardboard, label and freeze. When you need a dinner but don't want to put in the work, pop in the over for an hour. Voila! Dinner!

  • Woow, looks sooo yummy! Going to try it this week for lunch :D May I ask what temperature you had the stove top at when you were cooking the vegetables and chicken? Thanks. :)

  • @Roxi4 Cook on "High" ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow thank you very much :)

  • it's spring here in chicago but it feels like fall or winter!

    :)

looks beautiful. will try. thanks for posting.

  • I almost forgot that Australia is located south from the equator so the seasons are opposite to us in the US. This looks and sounds really good. Too bad its already summer for us so I have to wait another 6 months to try :(

  • They look sooo yummy!!! Once again, David, you have saved the low on cash!!

  • dear onepotchef, i didn't have an oven at home. is it possible to use a microwave instead? thank you & good day to you! :)

  • @amberlene90 I'm afraid not - that pastry will not puff up, go golden and cook correctly.

  • since its really hot in california can you make a savory but cold dish thats easy and fast to make :3

  • it is summer -.-

  • @Gr4di It's winter here in Australia!

  • @OnePotChefShow How many people does this serve?

  • @MrDoohickey95 This recipe makes 8 pot pies ;)

  • yum! I always seem to watch this after dinner... Then I want to go back and make what you made!

  • those look yummy

  • Hahaha! I laughed so hard at the "You're gonna cry, scream and throw things" line :P!!

  • Can ya use this recipe to make just chicken pies?? Them pots look too deep for me lolz...

  • @zeffman99 The pots only hold about 1 cup of chicken mixture, which is about the same amount you would get in a standard pie.

Yes, you can use this filling to make normal, all-pastry pies :)

  • WOW, I've always thought these would be hard to make... Thanks!!! I'm going to try this one for sure!!!!!!!!

  • wow.. looks GOOD!

i think i'll have to try this recipe.

  • yummy! Nothing better than comfort food. I need to make these soon. I haven't made homemade pot pies in a long time.

  • Nice video and I love the suggestion of wearing sunglasses while chopping onions.

  • Looks good cant wait to try it!

  • Is Worcestershire Sauce important for it... It ran out of stock in my local shop =(

  • @branjobu96 You can leave it out if you like - it just adds a little flavour. The recipe will be ok without it :)

  • OMG they look sooooo GOOOOD!!! I want to try this thanks for sharing mate :DDD

  • @ANIMEGIRL385 You're welcome - enjoy!

  • I loved the small individual dishes for each guest....cool idea and simple to make...

    Thank you ...

    ~MM~

  • @Maskedman46 You're welcome - I'm glad you liked it :)

  • Can you do a video for potato soup? That's my favorite winter dish!! =D

  • @munchiekins222 I'll add it to the list and I'll see what I can do ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow Thanks! I'll be looking forward to it. All of your recipes are wonderful!

  • you are, no doubt, quickly becoming my favorite chef. thank you for your presentations. chicken pot pie is a FAV of mine, but I have never made it.. I will now!!

  • @TZ2OurLittleDogToo Why thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying my videos :)

  • Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum!! I want those ;( I don't have any ramekins though. You know what kind of video you should do? An instructional one about how to chop onions! I can't for the life of me chop an onion without it falling apart!

  • @xoxoEquinebond There's a reason I do all my chopping off camera - I'm terrible at it!!! Although I can give you this tip: Wear a pair of Sunglasses while chopping onions - the onion fumes won't get in your eyes and you won't cry :)

  • @OnePotChefShow Really???.... It wont sting your eyes??!!

  • @branjobu96 Nope - I always chop onions with my sunglasses on, and I've never had a problem ;)

  • how long does winter last for u guys....its kool how summer for us is from may-sep

  • @RTechstudio About 3 months starting from April ;)

  • you made it look so easy. I am going to try this it. thanks

  • @lilheaven74 Let me know how it turns out ;)

  • This looks nice and healthy

  • @nothingnessx2 It is - lots of vegetables and lean chicken, plus the pastry was the "low fat" version (I picked it up by accident at the supermarket!) :P

  • What the heck! I've just eaten and now I'm hungry again. I knew I shouldn't have watched this video right now!

  • @teet4ever I get that a lot from people hehehe

  • this looks awesome, i really want to try it because it's so simple.

  • @mylove1 Give it a go, you'll love it!

  • Another scrummy recipe by The OnePotChef ! Will have to make one of these and see if it compares to my grans - she makes a pretty mean chicken pot pie ;D !

  • @CbRoXiDe I probably can't compete with Gran - but these pies are very good all the same ;)

  • looks v tasty

  • @wifey4lyf It really is :)

  • it's winter there? it's summer here!

  • I always enjoy your videos, easy recipes and you're entertaining too....well done!

    :-)

  • @twish1999 Thanks - I'm glad you liked it :)

  • You should do a live show on blogtv imo.

  • @walaowow If you mean cooking live on BlogTV - that won't happen. Too hard to set up for a live show. Plus the time difference means I'd have to do the show in the middle of the night in order to catch the majority of my viewers!

  • I love your recepies!! You're soo lucky, winter! We're literally melting here, its on avg 100F, but still I think this recepie coould serve us good too with a green toss salad and some yummy dressing on the side!!

  • @comichiuser Sounds delicious :)

  • These look absolutely gorgeous. I'm assuming that you can leave them to go cold and serve them with a salad as well? Thanks for all the recipes, my kitchen has never been so busy! lol
