  • You can run the combo through a seperate cab as well as they both have 4,8,and 16 ohm outputs .. I would get the combo for portabilty and then pick up a 2nd hand extension cab with the speaker of your choosing

  • Hi i was wondering what do you recommend the combo or the head and speaker?

  • It's really a matter of preference...There both the same except with the head you can run through a larger cabinet if you choose. 2x12 4x12 ect.

  • Sounds great !!

  • THANKS!!

  • is that the head or the combo?

  • combo

  • Awesome!good sound and a beautiful LesPaul.

  • Thanks again

  • Great as always bro. I'm rockin' my Valve Junior (purchased 95% because of your videos) and I messed up a tube loading it into my car. (it was still hot). I don't like the stock Sovtek tubes anyways. How do you think a Tung-Sol 12AX7 and a JJ EL84 would do me?

  • Thanks bro much appreciated. The jj and tung sol are perfect go for it. Glad my vids can help.

  • the only decent sounding VJ demos out there. And yours is not even modded! And you're nailing that Schenker/Vandenberg phrasing and vibrato. I salute you!:-)

  • Nice work yet again Schenk.

One thing, however, could you pretty please turn on more lights when you make your vids? A lot of them are really dark.

Us wankers would really like to see what you are doing with your fingers. Thanks!

Oh yeah, how come you don't have a V like da Man?

  • Hey thanks my bro. Lights next time for sure, sorry about that. I owned 2 real deal Gibson Schenker v's over the years and sold them, They stayed locked away in a closet. Felt like someone should get use out of them- I'm much more of a Les Paul guy I guess. The Dean v's just don't cut it IMO. Thanks again bro.

  • Just killer as always brother. Haven't checked your channel in a bit. Came back to some awesome vids, Keep em comin bro!

  • your possibly my favorite soloist on youtube.

  • And your compliment is superior. Thumbs up bro.

  • Oh...my...god...xP bro, you kick ass, your tone is just perfect...can you teach me?!? =)

  • Thanks bro, What would you like to know?

  • well, i´ve got a valve junior, same as you, but a mxr distortion+ and i´m just not able to get this awesome sound like you..xD ahm, other question: can i get this tubes you use in each good music store? maybe a dumb question, but i haven´t bought any yet =)

  • Thanks bro. What would you like to know?

  • Dude, you're such a bad ass!

    Awesome chops bro!

  • WOW! Killer compliment- thanks so much thumbs up

  • your videos are great, but too short!!!! give us a little more and don't be such a teaser!!!

  • LMAO

  • Sounds great, did you mod the amp? I have one, I just can't make it sound like you do.

    great job!!

  • Hey thanks! Amp is not modded just a good tube change and an overdrive in the front.

  • what kind of tubes and what overdrive?

  • Tubes are Tesla and Tung sol, Fulltone OCD

  • how much of a difference do the new tubes make? By the way, great playing.

  • Thank you very much. Huge diffence

  • Interesting, incidentally, the epi vj v3 no longer uses sovtek tubes according to the Wikipedia entry I read recently.

"Version 3 of head carries 1x Electro Harmonix 12AX7 and 1x JJ EL84 Tube, which increased price to $129.99 American." The JJ is a frequent mod to VJs. How good are Electro-Harmonix's tubes?

  • EH tubes kick ass. That sounds like a good combo. Wonder If Epiphone picked up on everyone using the JJ's and went with it as there new tube choice.

  • I hope so. I posted about the wikipedia entry on the official Epiphone forum and they said that the epi VJr factory doesn't have an official set of tubes that they use anymore, and that they still put in Sovtek tubes if that's what's available and cheap. They did confirm that there's no longer a difference between the combo and the head other than the cabinet.

  • Thanks for the info bro..

  • sounds sweet man

  • Very cool bro, glad you dig- thank you

  • Always nice to hear from you bro. Thank you, thumbs up to you

  • Great playing, man. The Valve Junior is a fantastic sounding amp.
