  • that sounds great

  • one thing that really buged me is that they never explain what ever have happend to hooded justice?

  • great graphic novel....

  • i am watchmen...and i like to watch "men"

  • lol castro and dragavich

  • I love this song. :)

  • THEANK YOU FOR THIS THEME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this intro os the shit

  • ah yeah, havent read the graphic novels but i heared from a friend who went with me to see the film in cinema about each of the heroes different experiances such as him at 0:45 with being shot due to being stuck from having his cape stuck in the swivelling door, ah good times.

  • One of the greatest movie intro ever!!!

  • best scene !!! at 3:16 :-<

  • whos that purple dude?

  • @00Nirvash That'd be Hooded Justice.

  • Comment removed

  • @TUHBR the title of the song is the times they are a-changing, by bob dylan, the title of the movie is watchmen

  • bob dylan is a god *purrs*

  • bob dylan the times are changing

  • Is there anybody that can tell me the name of this song? D:

And maybe, where I can find it without the sounds of the movie?

  • He didn't liked him

  • why did the comidian kill JFK

  • He was a government spook for nixon

  • @zakarias1886 for lulz

  • he was Nixon's boy..he was paid to,and he probably smiled and said something like "Camelot,my ass Johnny." right before he pulled the trigger

  • this was the best prt of the movie by far

  • best intro to a film ever

  • wats the name of the song an who sings it

  • The times they are a changin by bob dylan

  • bob dylan - the times there are a-changing

  • this film is awesome

awesome movie butt took long to watch (guess about 3 hours)

sometimes its boring sometimes its awesome film rate 4/5

  • it's allways interesting , got alot of conspirasy thigns in it , it's an evil movie, but a good one , watched 2 times , will watch more

  • @ken4tjuh did u ever try to read the graphic novel?

  • apart from the music the film was a let down.......shame coz the intro really sets the mood......

  • which bob dylan song is this i need to learn it

  • i agree with smokeitdude. lol

  • my favorite part is jfk

  • Haha clever, eh. :)

  • this intro rocked, i almost cried first time i saw it, the movie was great a little to brutal though

  • I think that the brutality was necessary for such a powerful statement.

  • From 3:15 to 3:30 made me cry... I'm kind of a hippie myself =(

  • This is a proper movie intro

  • Thank u for uploading this.

  • i just saw the movie and i want to say one thing : if Rorschach isn't a hero, there is no hero

  • too true

  • 3:27 is definitely the most chilling to me. The whole video is just incredible.

  • This intro was cool but the time could have been used for more scenes, I mean come on they were alot of missing Rorschach Journals (which last like 1 minute, some of them ) and Veidt was only minutes in the movie, I mean I will love to see his origins of Ozymandias, that's is very interesting and make you see why is he doing his plan. and also captain Metropolis was missing in the reunion scene with his quote: "Somebody has to save the world", which change Veidt's thoughts. Just my opinion.

  • well, when the dvd comes out they'll have hour(s) of extra footage, so hopefully most of what you're talking about will be in the extended edition

  • thats what im hoping ive already

    pre ordered a bluray copy

  • mst3k54 - 27th Juky! can't wait for next monday - there'd better be a proper 2 disc version.

  • well i mean its only 4 mins long so it wouldnt be enought for a rourchach journal or ozzys origin

  • I kinda agree with this. The whole flashback scene was very important to understanding Veidt.

  • what's the name of the song???

  • "The Times they are A' Changin" by Bob Dylan

  • I don't mean to be bitchy but how can you not know this song!?

  • haha, did anyone see the village people behind ozymandias! lolz, that was too good!

  • muy buena pelicula y creo que la intro es la mejor escena

    muy bien lograda

  • I love this intro!

    Great movie!

  • probably my favorite intro of any movie ever.

  • the intro could easly compare to any 1 part in god father 1 or 2

  • ya for sure!

  • ya hey who wants the minute copy im selling it tomarrow go on my channel it say contest you have to make a fight with it

  • in the moviewhen rorsach was with dr.malcom he said your fat wealthy everbody was odddddddddddddddd laughing

  • The scene with the girl putting the flower through the barrel of the gun puts chills down my spine especially when the soldiers fired. In the actual event, the soldier didn't fire but this is still very powerful. I will say that this is by far the best intro to a movie I've ever scene..... EVER!!!

  • Yea it was good and I liked how they changed things in history.

  • When it shows the Comedian shoot Kennedy its so unrealistic. Like no one heard the gunshot five feet behind them or saw a man with a rifle running. Very ridiculous

  • The grassy nole was over 50 feet away and the wind directed the sound towards the building were Oswald supposedly was.

  • So I viewed again. Sorry but you're theory isn't very accurate. Good intro. loved the movie, but that part still just is a unrealisitc. Someone would've turned around. A loud rifle such as that has a lot of firepower equal to alot of sound.

  • I'm not trying to put you down or anything elo i'm just statin my theory. Who knows? you might be right. This movie really was made to get people's different opinions. Its just one of those controversial topics ya know?

  • so what? even if somebody heard the shot, he was there cause nixon send him!

  • Sally's retirement(Last Supper) scene is a Gay Sandwich, LOL! With Sillohette & the nurse on the one end and Capt Metropolis & Hooded Justice on the other

  • Heh heh! I was just about to comment on that too.

I always found it interesting that almost half the original team was gay.

  • everyone laughed whenever rorschach would beat up someone specifically in the prison" I' not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me!"

  • everyone clapped in my theatre at the kenedy part at 1:53

  • its that kenety

  • 0:40

It's all fun and games until someone gets shot at point blank by a petty bank robber.

Poor Dollar Bill. He should've watched the Incredibles and learned how dangerous that cape of his was.

  • lol incredibles wasn't out when he die

  • Well, that's his problem, not mine. :-)

  • at 3:57

    where exactly Is Ozymandias?

whats with all the cowboys behind him?

  • those are 'the village people', a band from the 70s/80s

  • and he is outside Studio 54, a famous club in new york city in the 70s and early 80s. other people on the web have pointed out other famous people in the frame besides the village people. . . pretty cool how much detail is in this movie

  • poor hippies

  • Its all about the golden age Night Owl!

  • For some reason, I really liked the Silohette in this movie.

Maybe 'cause it's the first time I've ever seen the whole swagger-up-&-sweep-theh-girl-off-her-feet-for-a-kiss routine done by a woman.

  • that shot is based on a famous actual photograph of VJ day, you can see the sailor from the original photo on the left of the frame, looking on.

this scene blew me away, absolute genius.

  • That's awesome!

I knew I recognized it from some scene I'd seen with a sailor, but I had no idea it was some kind of famous shot. I thought it was just a TV meme.

Anyway, it's cool that you noticed that.

  • TheLithp - always cool to see beautiful women kissing.

and it's in the context of an epic openning to a brilliant film, so it's ok to say that!

  • It's always okay to say that.

  • it IS, i just wasn't sure what your reply would be.

    : )

  • I should've posted a link to that protest sign that says, "Gay people are GAY!"

  • by the way TheLithp, great to see a Harry Enfield sketch in your favourites.

and for everyone else, this clip is excellent.

27th of July, on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK.

    can't wait.

  • British comedy guy? I actually have no idea who he is or how I ended up on that page. I just know the video was funny, so I favorited it.

  • hahahah yes iv seen that wat a dumb ass

  • awesome. best intro ever

  • this has got to be the greatest intro to any movie, ever.

    i loved it.

  • siempre que veo ese intro quiero llorar

  • The Comedian is the Best!!!

  • best moment 3:16 at 3:29 LOL

  • Hey did that part mimic something in real life, it looks familiar.

  • You know, there are many pictures of hippie protesters putting a flower in the gun barrel of a military policeman. I don't know if it was a single event, and I don't know if the police actually FIRED on them in real life.

  • Baron: i hate to tell you but Kennedy didnt shake hands with a magical blue man either. its an 'alternative timeline' of history.

Then of course there was Kent State... this sort of thing is not something out of left field.

  • >>Baron: i hate to tell you but Kennedy didnt shake hands with a magical blue man either. its an 'alternative timeline' of history.

Regardless, Kennedy WAS shot, and Japan WAS nuked. Similarities exist; I just wasn't familiar with the flower-gun scenario.

  • well like i said, Kent State was real, flowers at protests were real, hippies were real, nixon's attitude towards protests was real.

Snyder appears to have somehow combined all these things and modified the facts a great deal to make an impressive and unforgettable film sequence.

  • Great intro to a great movie, I hated how people kept on comparing the movie to the novel. I always thought the movie should stand on his own, I actually liked many of the changes they made, what worked in 1985 does not necesarrily work in 2009, Snyder knew this and he did a good job

  • Wow this is like the best intro film ever, Hiroshima,JFK,Cold war,Vietnam,Che Guevara, Moon landing. This is the best!

  • Agreed, but I believe that's Castro

  • It's Che, not Castro.

  • Yeah you're right. People with asthma smoke cigars on the regular. No, wait... It's CASTRO

  • It IS Castro. If they had wanted to feature Che they would have picture him with his characteristic berret. The point is to make him immediately recognisable.

  • Besides, is clearly a reversal of the Cuban misiles crisis.

  • also a great point

  • sociocritical movie

  • the most epic intro ever..........it's just so awsome

  • epic

  • 3:15

  • Damn that JFK assassination clip is chillingly realistic. By far the best intro to any movie I have ever seen.

  • The best movie intro, I just love it!

  • wait, did the comedian kill JFK? I'm confused.

  • Yes he did.

  • why??????

  • g-man

  • half-life?

  • the comedian

  • yeah, he killed him. If you read the comic, he never actually says he did it, but he did say "don't even ask me where I was durring the JFK assasination..."

  • g-man killed JFK or comedian? it looked like comedian.

  • It was the comedian. The intro is trying to show what some of the thigns the watchmen had done over the years

  • they could have made some of the scenes more obvious and less confusing to people....(i didnt know it was the comedian either until someone told me)....

but then again... the more i watch it, the more i appreciate the way it was done.

  • yeah the more I watched it the more I got it.I dont think they could have picked a better song

  • Okay, so I don't get it....Was Eddie Blake working for the Cubans or the mob or what?

  • The US Government is my understanding.

  • The government had Kennedy assasinated? But that doesn't make any sense! The White House, Congress, and the Supreme Court were all Democratic - or liberal Republican - in 1963!

  • We're talking about alternative reality though? The government was a poor choice of words - what I didn't spell out was that the Comedian was an agent of the conservatives (i.e. Nixon - who went on to govern three times in this alternative history). Having shot Kennedy they were free to set up conservative government. Like I said - only my understanding - happy to hear a better explanation?

  • Okay, yeah. That makes a lot more sense (for the movie, anyway).

  • there were factions in the military, CIA, and elsewhere who hated Kennedy (in fact you could argue there are factions in the branches of government that hate every president)... so... that is why people tend to come up with conspiracy theories about it.

  • best intro ever good job

  • I love this part.

  • Amazing intro, 3:27 is messed up.

  • I saw this intro and i was like "this movies gonna fuckin ROCK!!"

  • Best Credit Sequence Ever!

  • I agree that this has to be one of the best intros I have seen so far.

  • 4:05 you can see village people!!! XD

  • nixn elected for third term...what a shit

  • Loved the film and was lucky enough to manage to see the intro twice in the cinema.

  • Holy shit , its one of the best movies i ever seen !

  • BOB DYLAN RLZ

  • Yeah... best intro i've ever seen :)

  • Best Intro ever!

  • great song :)
