Well, from my limited knowledge of the topic, I'd say I'm pro life. I don't think a rape victim should have the baby of the rapist, or if a woman can die from having the child( but i don't think it should be mandatory in this case) . If a person chooses to have sex(and isn't at risk of dieing), they should have the child. If they aren't ready to be a mother, then give it up for adoption, but they shouldn't have the right to kill an innocent life for their choices.

i am pro choice. i myself was a teen mother and personaly would not get an abortion but i do feel every woman should have a choice i believe everyone is entitled to their own opinions and their own choices. What?? From what I've seen, our culture is HIGHLY comfortable with pregnancies. Hollywood stars, the oftentimes focus in the media, are praised and coddled when they end up pregnant, and for the rest of society, pregnancy is seen as a natural and welcomed part of life (especially from the woman's point of view). She'd have to move out here parents house, get her own home, pay her own rent, and her own biils since she wants to do grown up things like have a baby. Babies are for grown up. Oddly now, I am a Feminist; however, I can't be one for abortion. Mainly because babies can think and feel and hear things in the womb. Why would you want to kill that, yaknow?

Well, from my limited knowledge of the topic, I'd say I'm pro life. I don't think a rape victim should have the baby of the rapist, or if a woman can die from having the child( but i don't think it should be mandatory in this case) . If a person chooses to have sex(and isn't at risk of dieing), they should have the child. If they aren't ready to be a mother, then give it up for adoption, but they shouldn't have the right to kill an innocent life for their choices.

I think that if you get pregnant and don't want the baby, you should be able to get rid of it. It sounds pretty mean, but it's better than giving it a bad childhood because you're not ready to raise a child. If I got pregnant before I was 18 or with someone I didn't want to have a baby with, then I maybe would get an abortion. But then again, I'm only 13, so I haven't really thought 'bout such things...

I don't think abortions should be forced upon women, nor should they be illegal. I know that some women might need an abortion if say there lives were in danger because of the pregnancy.

If a girl is a slut and goes around unprotected, then decides she doesn't want the consquence of her behaviour, then no, wayyy no is it right for her to have an abortion. If a girl is raped then I can understand abortion in that scenario. But really I do not agree with it. I'm a vegetarian and I think killing anything, even if you call it a ''fetus'' is wrong. What?? From what I've seen, our culture is HIGHLY comfortable with pregnancies. Hollywood stars, the oftentimes focus in the media, are praised and coddled when they end up pregnant, and for the rest of society, pregnancy is seen as a natural and welcomed part of life (especially from the woman's point of view). Perhaps you're confusing the viewpoint regarding teenagers? Teenagers are battered left and right with abstinence advertisement and the sort. If anything, fear of pregnancy is with them.

Also, I think they need to have programs in the school like the one at our local high school, where the kids get to deal with fake babies that cry in the middle of the night. This is really sad.

abortion blows. reason: once an egg is fertilized, its a baby in the making, before that its a sperm cell that hasn't even met the egg yet. so check it out, when you end someone's life you kill them, don't take it up with me, take that up with webster. I'm not a hardXcore christian or anything i just don't think abortion is a viable option for pregnancy because once life has started who are we to take it away? how about adoption? didnt anyone learn anything from juno? haha

I agree completely in abortion. Religious beliefs have blinded most people. 1. IT'S NOT MURDER!!!! Birth control and ur period r the same thing as an abortion. Here's the deal: When a woman's ovum is fertilized, she becomes pregnant. Abortion is the removal of the embryo before it becomes a fetus. The baby feels no pain.

You're an idiot. Birth control and periods are NOT the same as abortion. Birth control prevents a sperm from fertilizing an egg, dipshit (hence making it to where you don't get pregnant). Periods is the removal of an UNFERTILIZED egg. Abortion is killing a fertilized eg/fetus/human. Pick up a book and learn something you fuckin ignorant ass twat!

I suppose it would be hypocritical to say killing a sperm was murder, since every month, when a woman's egg isn't fertilized, it dies and is expelled from us.
But neither of those two things (egg/sperm) can become a human without one another. They each need something. But a fertilized egg already has all of the things it needs to be a fully fuctional baby, it just needs time to finish developing. To me, killing that is wrong. I can understand rape cases, but not irresponsibility.

ok this is something that i get pretty livid about...abortion, you know what, a fetus might be alive, and personally i agree with that, it's a conglomeration of cells working in unison, if that's life, so be, it, but then by that rationale, genital warts, brain cancer, mosquitos, cockroaches are all living things but we don't seem to have a problem killing them, well i don't and abortion prevents me from having to do something that i avoid....killing a baby, if you ban abortion, i kill babies

I dont think ANY of us, not even a mother, has the right to strip a human being of that most basic human right.
Abortion is almost euphemistic, as the word itself wont give a clear idea of the actual operation.
The methods used to abort a baby are barbaric.
I think destruction of the baby anytime after the first 2 weeks (when the heart starts beating) is murder.
Just because we dont watch the baby being killed, doesnt make it any less of.

And the methods of abortion are not barbaric. In the first trimester there is a pill called the RU-486, which halts the pregnancy and expels the development. Only as the pregnancy continues into the 3rd trimester does it get "barbaric" with a hysterotomy, but that usually only occurs when the mother's life is in danger.
