  • I just love love love the way he attacks the guitar-its so distinct and original-I'd love to be able to play guitar like him-I'd love to see him live-and I loved his Dad's harp playing too-in fact his Dad was my favorite harp player

  • Also in the band: Kenny "Beedy Eyes" Smith (son of Wille "Big Eyes" Smith) and Eddie Taylor Jr. (son of Eddie Taylor, one of the greatest Blues musicians that ever lived). All phenominal musicians and sons of legendary Blues immortals.

  • the 3 dislikes must be into rebecca black, cause this lurrie has more soul than anyone i know who plays.

  • Not a fan of his attack.

  • Lurrie is my favorite. Hardest working Blues man out there (and those Blues men and women work HARD for their money). Got a buddy that played w/ Lurrie. He confirmed that this man has a heart of gold. I'll be seeing you soon Lurrie!

  • YES-SIR! That's what I'm talking about.

  • dude this guy can play and hes so soulful u guys shud check out his sweet home chicago its a beginner song but he rocks it!!! I LOVE THE BLUES!!!!!XD

Bendito seas Lurrie. Y gracias.

  • Cool.

  • Another reason for you folks to hunt down "Son of a Gun" with his dad released by Delmark a long way back.

  • Would love to see them live... miss me some dirty, slow blues

  • Very obvious he's releated to Carey Bell.. Sweet stuff!

  • Hell Yeah! What an exciting way to play the guitar. Lurrie got it, he´s absolutely great.

  • now, that's some soulful playing

  • hehe Lurries got it in spades man...Im feelin a bit for the bandmates though...he should pass the cheeba around man, then itd be a throwdown

  • dam this guys good , crying the blues , modern day albert king plus

  • damn that's some fine playing,dig his vibrato,wow

  • Saw him Live in Chicago at the Blues Festival, awesome... and I didn't even like Blues till that day!

  • Absolutely GENUINE !! Gotta say it again, Lurrie, your playing reminds me of the late great Buster Benton !... Love your stuff, and will be looking to see you live oneday !

  • Ya en serio este señor es un MAESTRO!!!!!!

  • El bajista brotó de una planta de marihuana.

  • jaja!

  • How does he sound so clean playing with his thumb?

  • Insisto: el bajista...pertenece a esa banda? a ese show? o cayó tipo marciano de una nave espacialllllll???

  • Me encanta lurri!!!! gracias!

  • Lurrie Bell is awesome! He is so smooth and clean!

  • ooooops..spelling of course it's carey

  • his father ..carry..must be darn pround of his boy...... i know i am......nice post..

  • damn, THIS is what the blues is about - COMPLETE passion!

  • Thank's a lot Lurrie... God is alive...

  • Get 'em, Lu! It's your time now-

  • Damn does this guy kick ass or what? Shit!

  • It would be wrong to say lurrie bell is under rated. He is unknown! Damn shame because he is one of the absolute best blues guitarists ever!

Amazing how every note is so distinc and important even though he plays without a pick.

  • The sad/funny thing is that Lurrie is not only very highly rated., but actually quite famous! (And has been for quite a while.) Unfortunately this fame is only among the dedicated blues fans. Being a blues star ain't as lucrative as being a country star.

  • Wow, you can almost see part of his soul pouring out of those strings!

  • lurrie is the best, thanks for posting coolazul!
