@serialkissersband Yes, but it is easier to use something that was made for it like zenity, kdialog, or xmessage. See the winetricks script for an example.
How do you take the glade file - project.glade - which appears to be in XML format and compile it into C code or the executable final product? I'm using Glade 3.6.7, Ubuntu 10.04, and GTK+ 2? I believe that I must use gktbuilder but I can't finmd any tutorials.

I love my iphone so much. It is white 16 GB. I am looking for more web applications. Can anyone help by telling me where to search for a web based msn messenger? Thank you very much.
You can install this in Ubuntu just like any other application. Click Applications -> Add/remove, search for glade and check it, click apply and you're done.
@AbsalomPitchingfork I didn't think to mention this, but pressing F11 makes the window full-screen in most applications. Admittedly it is not automatic, but one key isn't too bad. I hear the autohide extension makes it automatically start in fullscreen mode, but I am reluctant to try it.

I've been wondering, is there any easy way to put the menu bar on the GNOME panel instead of on the window?
AbsalomPitchingfork 2 years ago
sure, just right-click the panel and add the main menu
themanyone 2 years ago
You're mistaking the main menu applet for the menu bar that appears in most windows.
AbsalomPitchingfork 2 years ago
Oh I don't think so, not without changing the window manager. Even the mac theme doesn't do that.
themanyone 2 years ago
Aww. It's a really good idea to have that, because it makes the windows look far more consistent.

@AbsalomPitchingfork The newest Ubuntu releases now do just that by default for most applications.

If your going to tag this with python, it would be nice of you to eat least mention how to use it with glade more specifically.

The Python video needed to be re-uploaded. You can find it on part 5 of this set and the source code is also in the download now.
