  • Never do the splits without stretching first. NEVER. Unless you LIKE getting hurt...

  • Thank you!! I needed to stretch before class because my teacher in ballet doesnt stretch us besides bar stretches! is that weird? my lyrical teacher stretches us out though!

  • that froggy thing at 1:44 is just an impossible position for me. it hurts

  • @EmmaLoves2Dance if you work at it every day you will get better. also don't push your self to hard. plus ten seconds will not stretch you, try for at least a minute.

  • Female 13-17

WHAT THE HELL? STOP CREEPING U PEDOS!! (THE MEN)

  • @xxMusicLover4everxx1

  • I do that stretch all the time :)

  • check out the most flexible girl in the world!!!

I <3 ballet ill dance forever

  • lol

you have toctranslate subtitles in one other language u understand....

funniest subs ever i guess! :D

  • beautiful legs

  • i love your stetch. grate video, vide voide :)

  • you need to warm up way more than that! and your back leg needs to be turned in (in your lunges) so it will actually stretch. and when you're down in the splits, you need to make sure your back leg is straight! great job, "expert" village!!!

  • This video is great it helped me do the splits thank you

  • she lucks horney at 1 min 39

    right in the camera

  • are you most flexible with your left leg, cuz i am!

  • can you still learn splits when you're 14?

  • @Lauriefishbone Sure! Lol.. Im 13 An I just learned.. (:

  • @msbutterflywings12 Nice. I really wanna do the middle split. I can do the other split already

  • @Lauriefishbone Of course you can! I was fourteen when i got my splits. (:

  • You Have to Hold Ur Stretch For At least 15 to 20 seconds !

  • do you know any stretches for pointe shoes? i have a pointe class n im always in so much pain during and after any ideas?

  • why are you directly going into split? C;

  • @cheerprincess99. No it's not because I always do because sometimes other stretches don't work because were already limber so only the splits will stretch us like me:)

  • just take a look at the knee of her back leg(i mean the one which is behind her back) it should look down to the floor and not to the side, but every time she does the split you can see it, because it is not down to the floor - it's a little cheating which makes doing the split easier

  • @oahu2maui actually its a ballet split because its turned out :))

  • good exercises i gave them a try

  • back leg is bent and ur not all the way down...plus you do the splits before adage not the whole class!!

  • Cool.

GOD really makes me sick all that pedo's watching stretching girls. EVERY BALLET VIDEO with girls in age 7 till 18 or something gets nasty reaction.

There's 1 with a girl at an age of something like 9, and people wrote:

"This is sex" Which is very gross.

  • Do Yhuu Have To Be Really Skinny To Do Ballet??

  • @ its possible at any size. but to be a professional, you must be extremely thin.Bon2994 not at all.

  • I think I just pulled my groin looking at this.

  • this is lame. people will get hurt if they learn the splits from watching this

  • I dunno if i'm watching this for the right reasons, !! :-P

  • @sugarsaint pervert...

  • @raesher Asshole

  • @raesher A??hole

  • @raesher Why is this person a "pervert" in your opinion?

  • beautiful !!! :)

  • when u go forward in doing a forward split u ahve to keep ur feet turned out

  • @crazydevil1313 It depends what type of dance you're doing; you tend to keep your feet turned out when doing jazz and pointed in ballet but you can do a mixture

    What the?

  • @JordanPAT Dude it could be new fathers, trying to be halfway knowledgeable about their teen daughters newfound love for new age ballet. This theory fits better.

  • @JordanPAT Dancers, and Pedophiles. Duh.

  • she´s doing the splits BEFORE stretching? that´s stupid....

  • You need to be warm up before you do your splits! Get the info right, or else someone will get hurt trying this!

  • @iiLuvSparkles yea, i agree with you! by the way that is remembering me...i'm gonna put some videos about how to get warm up before ballet class, not getting hurt! xD

  • @iiLuvSparkles How about you STFU and let her do her thing hater ! Damn why is everyone on youtube such mean and ignorant people SHAKE MY HEAD !

  • @chalethiaparker766

...I'm not hating. I just don't want people think "Oh, I'll try to do dance and 'warm-up' by throwing my cold body into the splits! That's what the girl on youtube did!" I'm worried about people's saftey. NOT hating.

    Have a nice day (:

  • The first time I did this i got the spilts

  • @sboud1 Yea so can I but for other people who dont have there splits all the way its not safe at all I would know cause when I didn't have my splits all the way and I did my splits before doing a good strech i pulled somthing and I couldnt dance for about 2-3 weeks

  • @retroalex1 Me too

  • @shawnjohnsonlover12 It was rlly bad and now I have a falling arch in my foot

  • @retroalex1 Ooo i'm sorry that sounds like it hurts...i hurt my hip from stretching to hard

  • @shawnjohnsonlover12 Ouch hurting ur hip is like the worst thing to do but now that i have a falling arch i cant do pointe as well as i use to

  • @retroalex1 That stinks and yea it is. Wait how do you get a falling arch?

  • @shawnjohnsonlover12 I'm not for sure rlly i was doing pointe and I fell because my arch in my foot was killing me so i went to the doctor and they gave me a series of exercises that i dont do. I also have a bunch of other exercises for my knees but the knee problem runs through my family

  • @retroalex1 Do you have to have a really good arch for pointe?

  • @shawnjohnsonlover12 Yea I have a pretty good arch

  • @retroalex1 I think I have a good arch...cuz i do gymnastics

  • @shawnjohnsonlover12 I do gymnastics also! My dance studio also is a gymnastics studio. Tapio School of dance and gymnastics. I'm learinging how to do a back hand spring into a back flip. Almost there!

  • @retroalex1 Awesome! I love gymnastics!!

  • @shawnjohnsonlover12 I prefer dance, but yea i also like gymnastics

  • @retroalex1 See I want to do ballet really bad but I don't know if i can becasue I have gymnastics...I really want to learn pointe though.

  • @shawnjohnsonlover12 u should go for it!

  • @retroalex1 Definitly I will if my parents let me!!

  • @shawnjohnsonlover12 lol yea but dont say a girl on youtube recomended it!

  • @retroalex1 hahaha! I won't. But its soo pretty...does pointe hurt?

  • @shawnjohnsonlover12 Sometimes, if u do it for a long time. like I do pointe an hour and 30 mins a week. U should check out our dances on my channel im in both. Neither of them r point but they r still pretty cool.

  • @retroalex1 Sweet, I will! Haha i thought at first it would hurt reall bad.

  • @shawnjohnsonlover12 yea it wont hurt that bad if u dont have strong feet or ankles

  • @retroalex1 Wait it will hurt if you have strong ankles?

  • @shawnjohnsonlover12 Lol no pointe would be a lot easier if u have stong ankles

  • @retroalex1 Okay!! haha thaats what i thought. don't you have to have a super good point in your toes?

  • @retroalex1 Oh wow. well i m gonna learn!

  • I tried the froggie.......... its not gonna work :(

  • @HarvestMoonGirl567 lol i know they are soooo hard i had to do that when i was dancing i got it down but now that im out of dancing, its so freaking hard haha

  • @HarvestMoonGirl567 u just need to keep practicing on it

  • tssss......

  • I'd buy that for a dollar aaahahahaha

  • ouch!!

  • no... youre an idiot

  • and what the hell are all those cords tangled around her. they cannot make a video with her mic cords wrapped around her!! this is really dangerous

  • @frangipanigirlcz

are you kidding? She's not a child or an animal, I'm sure she can handle one mic cord wrapped around her legs. If it gets stuck, she can unclip it and unwrap it. It's very simple.

Besides that, this is a great video. I've never thought to do the flexed back leg in my split for a better stretch- but I love it now! Thanks!

  • that first stretch...what can i say. "to stretch this" this? this? u mean hip flexor?? maybe learn what muscles you are stretching before teaching this to beginner/intermediate dancers

  • got only one word for this: yeeouch!

  • I love these videos...I think they're very helpful for beginners-intermediates.

  • What is she wearing?

  • her splits look weird.. like her back leg is always bent or turned the other way?

  • I'm a usually restrained and self-controlled guy but I'm going wild....

    ....help!

  • @ninuxy i'm a ballet student in england and i find it easier to warm up get your heart beating and then doing this, even if you can't get far down if you push your self and do it 5 times a week you should be down into the splits in no time.

  • Ok, how do you get this point where you can do the actual split? I can't even do 1/4th of these moves.

  • Ya you definitely have to warm up before you stretch for like 5-10 minutes otherwise you can (and eventually might) pull a muscle. It's like trying to stretch a piece of cold toffee compared to a rubber band!!! It will make stretching so much easier, safer and pain free after words as well.

  • i'm starting ballet now with 17 years old and i love it! but my plie its very very short!!! how do i get my plie longer???

  • NICEASS , FOR A BALLET GIRL .

  • My warm up is my straddle, pike, and splits, I stretch more rigorously by doing my over stretches.

How you should warm up is dependent on the level of the individual's flexibility.

obviously if you can barely do your splits or can't go down all the way that is not a warm up.

  • You could seriously damage something if you don't stretch at least for 10-15 before going into your splits. After being in dance for about 2 and a half years, i still have to stretch a lot!

  • my daughter dosen't she goes right down and she's only ten

  • dont start with splits!

start with a forward stretch but not split!

  • terrible idea to start with splits... if ure not warmed up u cud seriously damage something. and u cant just use those 2 little tiny stretches before hand to go into splits.. it wont happen. good video thow.. just not a start before class. if anythin, u wanna do the splits after class or mid way through..

  • that leotard is so prettyy. (:

  • Haha You cant Do that If u cant Do the Splits So The Tile Is a Little Bit Wrong

  • Comment removed

  • i've gotten injured bad stretching splits first so this is no bueno

  • I think your method of stretching before ballet is very wrong.

Some people are able to just go into the splits without warming up (i can), but most people can't. They will pull a muscle which can really really really hurt and get injured very badly. So if you want to be of any help, show people how to actually really warm up. -.-

  • Dear Diary...Jackpot!!!

  • I wish I could do that

  • no experts just villagers

  • I love how this is like filmed in her living room.

  • make sure you are completely warm before going into the splits! and you should always stretch your knees and feet as if you're in Jete. because why stretch in a position you are gonna use in ballet? you would do a jete like that would you?!? and these stretches are NOT at all suitable to do before classs!!! where r u trained?? you have to do a fulle barre at least before stretching like that!

  • ow!

  • ur so flexible.......im jelous

  • i don't think i can do the splits even if i stretch

  • i definitely always warm up for at LEAST 5-10 min. before going into the splits, it's much safer.

  • @twilightsplendor yeah i DEFINATELY agree; I had the pulled hamstring to prove it!

  • you doing pretty good I guess. Just don't start with splits because you can really hurt yourself! Also with your split, your hips should be squared off and you back leg should be straight! How long have you been doing this? Not that long obviously.

  • oh baby !! kisses

  • even if you can do the splits its ALWAYS good to stretch beforehand. thats why i hate expertvillage. DONT LISTEN!!!

  • being able to do the splits is necessary. you need to make sure that the body is warmed up first. going straight into the splits is a good way to tear a muscle. start your warm up by walking for 5 minutes, then warm up your feet by flexing and pointing and doing ankle rolls. start hamstring stretches by lying on your back and pull your knee to you chest but don't straighten your leg unless you feel ready. stand or sit for more hamstrings stretches. do battement cloches to loosen up your hips.

  • حرام هالحركه

  • YOUR SOO SEXY .

  • WTF IS WITH THE WIRES!!lol;0

  • ur back leg isnt even straight

  • YOU SHOULD NEVER PULL A MUSCLE

  • All these videos amuse me. If I was flexible enough to do that, I wouldn't be watching videos on how to stretch.

How about teaching us less naturally gifted people how to get flexible?

  • Mate you should use technical words such as lunge stretch like your doing an instructional yet you have no clue what your talking abouttttttttttt

  • girl you're no ballerina, i am not going to repeat what cnharrison123 said, but i agree with that totally and stretching cold muscles will only ruin them in the long run, thus from repeated abuse leading to joint dislocations, happened to me...

second, THE FROGGY STRETCH DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH OUT TURN, since all the muscles that do the outturn happen to be on the other side of the legs and if you really were a ballet dancer you would know this.

  • @Stammyify oh and by the way, when you do the centersplits you're feet ARE SUPPOSED TO BE TURNED OUT, even my 10-yo girls know this :)

  • @Stammyify most of the things you said were right on, but i do have to correct you on one thing. you are right that the frog stretch isn't directly related to turn out, but when done properly, it stretches the hips, which does make your turn out better as long as you are also working on the actual turn out muscles. working on turn out muscles doesn't do much unless you also have the flexibility to turn out further.

  • @pureattitude257 yes but ballet classes are designed to reposition a persons body and add more flexibility while you go for it throughout your studies so there is really no need to bust your hipjoints before ballet class cause everyone just doesn't have a 180 degree outturn because of their bonestruckture and that is all right..

and everything i have noticed in ballet is that when i notice my leg going higher or turnout getting bigger, it is because of strenght.. no more space to write :(

  • @Stammyify in my experience, just going 2 classes doesn't always increase ur flexibility as much as u want it 2 & u have 2 stretch some on ur own if you're really serious about increasing flexibility. i now have hip problems from running cross country, so i can tell u the frog stretch isn't too hard on hips or else i would be in a lot of pain. it is true that not everyone is going 2 have perfect turnout, but it can be improved by increasing flexibility & strength...continued

  • @pureattitude257 continued...however, everyone has their own opinions, and i don't mean to argue with you or anything, so have a great day and enjoy your dancing :]

  • Its not good o start with spits, you can pull something.

  • @skibbyskibinski so true! Ive pulled my hamstring twice! UGH the worst pain ever and takes forever to heal!

  • @skibbyskibinski thats true

  • @skibbyskibinski but if you noticed she did stretch a little before plus she is probally an expirenced dancer....

    [RYM]

  • You are not supposed to start with splits stupid! you can hut yourself! you should start by doing the butterfly stretch and end with the splits. and make sure that when you do your splits, your back leg is stretched all the way, and your pelvic area is touching the ground.

  • @liza43933

If this is her way of stretching... just let her. I wouldn't do it like this either but if this works for her, it's ok.

  • is it just me or does it seems like she has no clue bout stretching LOL first of all if u stretch for the split u should start way different and your split doesnt look right either u need to work on your hips while u doin the split ...

  • @wadeuss if you're commited enough, every day.

  • how many time does it take to be able to open my legs like that?

  • shes not in her splits lmao her hims are not square at all shes not all the way down dont make a video untill u have them

  • Can any body watch this youtube link and tell me who composed this youtube.com/watch?v=ZutsW1xhyA4

  • I agree... start with plies and end with splits.

  • could you learn ballet at any age O.O im kinda interested but do you have to start at a yound age??

  • @Vampirelove300 not really. if you are committed enough, you can definitely become a great dancer.

  • Great !

  • don't you need a proper warm up before splits??

  • ok.. she likes to touch her groin area a lot.. eiw :S

  • You should start with plies!

  • I agree, you dont START with the splits, you have to warm up first before you do the extreme stretches.
