I couldn't agree more. The bottom line for most people (not including you or chow) is that without Search Engine traffic, we're S.O.L.

So it's basically, do what google says or have a much higher failure percentage.

But yeh I think that's wrong they nuked Chow yet big companies get away with it, that makes them look worse. Because by not doing anything it makes them look complacent but by letting certain people get away with it makes them look unfair, favorable of popularity and their own interests only and unreasonable.

Good points, I have always thought like this which is precisely why I don't fuck with Google. I don't get much of my traffic from search engines in general either but sometimes I do... I just think it's better to build genuine quality traffic rather than fussing over PR and constantly tracking SERPs and all that shit, just get on with it.
