@sauron1grenoble everything i've shot in japan both photo and video has been with my trusty canon powershot a720is *thumbs up!* I do own a nikon d200 but havn't used it in over 8 months because it is home in the states
well that's a pretty good compact camera, but it's a pity you didn't bring your slr.
ever considered purchasing another one? after all, all the good camera companies except canon and leica are japanese :), and from what i've read the d300 ofers a lot more than the d200 it replaces :)

When Ryuhei and I visited the tower, we brought a giant Ceasar Salad from Costco. We realized we probably couldn't bring food up there, so I shoved it in my jacket, and made myself look incredibly fat. As we entered the elevator, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible, Ryuhei pointed at me and went "she's pregnant!" and after a brief awkward silence he added, "and the baby is black."

Tokyo Sky Tree is now 289 meters so that will make Fukuoka tower be the third tallest tower in Japan.
