Ummm...Do you show your intersex features??? You seem very passionate about this. I know that the term "intersex" is commonly misused by people that have no genetic basis to use it. Maybe that is why you are a bit heated about this? I am not going to reply any further to you, as I don't think it is beneficial to you or Stone Darth. Many Blessings to you on your journey.
I am his girlfriend. He is an amazing, truthful guy. Although the two of you have different intersex conditions, I can assure you that, like most intersex folks, he too has had many challenges. I feel that it is important that intersex individuals that have had to deal with societal, internal and medical hardships be compassionate, not criticizing towards each other.
I am a registered nurse and I specialize in maternal child healthcare. I have also served on Ethics Committees that deal with gender assignment in newborns. I am curious what "clinical symptoms" you believe apply to intersex folks, beyond genitalia and gonads.I don't think it would be prudent for Stone Darth to display his genitalia to the World Wide Web.
Ok, I need to butt in here a bit- I am a healthcare professional and have had the privilege of working with individuals that were born with Disorders of Sex differentiation (ie Intersex). There are literally 100's of different variations of DSD. You can't tell if someone is Intersex just by looking at their face. Their is no "typical" in Intersex.
Your new MacBook sure makes some great vlogs!! :)
I love the thumb and hammer analogy ... very very true! I don't think referring to surgery on intersex children as child abuse is too outlandish of a statement, but I also see how those without an adequate understanding of the situation and it's later repercussions might view it as such. There needs to be more education about topics such as this, and I commend you for putting your voice out there!
Dang I love this mac! Makes me want to vlog more :-D
There is a video in my favorites -- "Intersex Protest" that's really awesome. There are some good doctors out there, and there are some bad ones. I'll likely have more vlogs about other experiences I've had in the future.
