  • Mel Gibson kicked Sharpes dad's ass back in 1781

  • @USMarineRifleman0311 Sharpe's mom was a prostitute. There's no way to know who Sharpe's father was, if he was even a soldier.

  • @hollywoodwerewolf

    lmao nice

  • @USMarineRifleman0311 Sharpe's a proper geezer. Mel Gibson is made of pure cheese, "Oh, I know I'll impale the central antagonist with a US flag." It was so cheesey I could have spread it on a cracker.

  • Oh and does Sean Bean die in this?

  • First started reading Sharpe's Fortress the other day. Damn good book.

  • What is with the electric guitar in the music?

  • He's a right proper bastard, he is.

  • @acerb45666555 well back then us an France hated each other, so we were ready to do anything to win, probably not the best move we took.

  • Who's British?.....Why did ya fight Napoleon in Spain if he was fighting the evils of the Spanish Inquisition, and the Italian States Inquistion!! he saved hundreds of lives!! thousands!. if you had joined him, you both could have had Rome in the bag! with the Vatican as the prize!! London would have been the liberator of millions freed from the shadow of the Inquisition!

  • @acerb45666555 Main reason? France was a Revolutionary State. i.e. They murdered their royalty and nobles. Right or wrong, the other nations of Europe didn't much like this (or rather, the ruling classes didn't). Add to the fact Napoleon was power hungery and invaded his neighbours, Britain didn't like this upstart upsetting the balance right on their doorstop.

  • @acerb45666555 You're a bit off with your timming there. The Inquision was in the 1600s. We fought Bonapate in the 1800s. They' got rid of the inquision before Boney got there!

  • @CordeliaMoreno .............But in 1804, as the French went into Spain, the documentary i saw,(Secrets Of The Inquisition), told of a Polish officer,(very popular professional mercenaries!), leading a French cavalry troop that liberated prisoners of the Inquisition! Goya even drew images of the prisoners! Then Napoleon went after the Inquisition in Italy! watch: (Secrets Of The Inquisition)

  • @CordeliaMoreno

Actually, the Inquisition was abolished in 1830s, although it ceased to fill any meaningful role in society by the time it was abolished.

  • 7:02 haha awesome reaction. BADASS MOFO!

  • @Hooikt2500 yeah

  • Ok this series is complety wrong to the books which are much better!!!

  • holy shit his nose.

  • that nose murders people

  • right thats so how he became a officer he wasn't in the 85th as an ensign then transfered to the rifles and he wasn't in india when he saved his life and it was 3 draggons attacking the general not some maratta artillery men and calverty yeah

  • @nanoalcatraz That's what happened in the books, this has been adapted for TV and therefore is slightly different.

  • @nanoalcatraz THE BOOKS ARE AMAZING YA GET A HISTORY LESSON BERNARD CORNWA;; KNOWS HIS STUFF

  • the bookes are much better

  • i dont often watch sharpe, but when i do i squirt out of every orifice and lay spent at the fucking epicness that is sean bean in his best role ever. also this is the best program/film series ever and is non-arguable end of story.

  • I remember watching this when it was first broadcast...loved it as a schoolboy and still do this day. British TV set a benchmark here they haven't been able to reach again since, nor likely ever will. Just imagine the budget was bigger, they managed to keep Brian Cox and David Toughtan, and had no issues with pre-watershed violence...

  • this is why generals should always go out only with their ajuntants, aide camps, ect.

  • Awesome!!!! i'm waiting for the call from hmv for me to come pick up all the boxed series!!! cant wait!!!

  • @stefansmom I saw & recorded 5 of the episodes on the History channel, somehow my tape got messed up and I thought I'd never get to see it again. Then , one day at Amazon................ I bought the 14 disc set. Love every one of them!

  • 7:02 Owned.

  • which is the first of the Sharpe seriesi'd love to watch them all from the very start in sequence to the end

  • Amazing music!

  • god Hogan's such a slimy bastard XD. Too bad brian cox didnt stick around for the other sharpe movies

  • The series is good but as in many things in fiction

    The Books >>>>>>>>The Movies

  • Does anyone else think wars should still be fought out like the wars of 1700-1815

  • @dukeofleistershire... Is that because they actually tried to win?

  • @dukeofleistershire NO are you mad? Why march in a line in a field and shoot each other when you can't break formation!!! thats the WORST thought ever! 2 armies marching towards each other then both fire!!! wtf

  • @KingsofSparta ya but its better than being killed be a missile or sniper shot from a Km away and not as much Civilians where killed and there was honor back then and it was cheaper and to many buildings are destroyed for no reason

  • @dukeofleistershire it wouldn't work nowadays. today we plan and attack. we dont pointlessly march face to face and hope that we kill the enemy before they kill you. its better nowadays. the idea of war is to cut the enemies cost. E.G in world war 1 they tried to wound the enemy in the hope that they would run out of money to care for them and eventually they would surrender

  • @KingsofSparta Ya but the yanks rule the battle field because of their UAVs and choppers and if anyone else in the world where to fight them they would be slaughtered but back then the odds where more even and they did plan how else would they of won and if things where the same not as many people would die because today the yanks force troops from Nato,The EU and Britain to go of to war for no reason which caused terrorist attacks in europe and britain so this modern day war Gets more casulties

  • @dukeofleistershire please dont boost about USA. i have this all the time. america isn't the only country with weapons!

  • @dukeofleistershire USA would slaughter them? how you have not won Afghanistan yet? or iraq for that matter

  • @mrmemanme I dont no maybe because its insurgent warfare and more men join them everyday and they dont get much training so there are more insurgents to soldiers in afganistan and also its like Ireland the children are told to kill the enemy their entire life so their Patriotic and they use drugs as money so the get tones of guns quick and if im not mistaken but have we not won Iraq I thought us brits left as well as the yanks

  • Too bad it starts with saving a Rotschild.

  • @Ebareebaveebeedee Why do you say that? If not for him, the crown wouldn't have been able to pay their fighting men!

  • @Astraea52

The Rotschilds are not the nicest banking dinasty around.

  • @Ebareebaveebeedee What was"not nice" about the Rothschilds in particular?

  • @Astraea52

Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws.

    Mayer Amschel Rothschild

  • these movies are great but to anyone who has seen and liked these you should read the books like most adaptions the books are better and have much morer detail ... and the wellingoton in this one is much better than hugh fraser than all the others wonder what happened there?

  • GOD I LOVE THESE MOVIES.

IVE BEEN WATCHING THEM FOR A WHILE AND ONLY JUST CREATED AN ACCOUNT.

BY THE WAY SCREW U GUYS AND UR PETTY ARGUMENTS

  • This series was just never the same without Hogan...

  • This series was just never the same without Holdan...

  • To all those

who haven't seen the Sharpe films, and intend to watch them -

Get ready for a great journey you will never forget !

  • @elbones1982 dude

  • @toomanyfires what?

  • @elbones1982 whats the deal

  • @toomanyfires watch it and find out

  • you are awesome for posting these!!!

  • whats that bastard snorting up his nose

  • @jaydee453

    ground up babies...

    or, tobacco snuff powder.

  • The excellent first three episodes of Sharpe make up for the half assed nature of many of the subsequent episodes.

  • They just aren't prepared to deal with the manliness that is Sean Bean. *rowr*

  • He was also from London not Sheffield. But lets get no with the show. Thanks for the upload ST99 I'd forgotten all about this show.

  • When you start comparing details between the books and series, more discrepancies show up. Here Sharpe introduces himself to Wellington as Sargeant, but "Sharpe's Rifles" takes place in 1809 .. and Sharpe was had been made a 2nd Lieutenant in 1805 & then a Lieutenant in 1807.

  • Love the fact that u have put these on as I have just started reading the books and I love them. but the start of this film was a let down as Sharpe got his Stripes and became an officer in India after he saved wellington in Assaye. But thats not your fault they should of stuck to the books. plus he had did soo much before this. he fought in India, killied the Tippo,he was the first man over the wall at Gawilghwur and he fought a Trafalger he even met Nelson. need to redo the seris from start.

  • @Heartoftheclock

Thank you, I thought I was the only one who caught that. Still love the uniforms though

  • when i first saw this..... who are the dudes with popcorn bags on their heads? lol

  • @argonaut200 When I saw them, I thought "they have very silly hats, they must be the bad guys" ... well, "bad guys" in the sense that they're the enemies of our protagonist, that is.

  • @argonaut200 French Dragoons... those were covers for their hats to keep their hats dry in the rain.

  • @argonaut200 Smirfs?

  • LOVE THESE MOVIES AND THE BOOKS

  • Rothchild is a terd

  • rofl love the fighting xD

  • thanks for this mate its brill

  • Oh those crazy '90s, always adding guitar solos where they didn't need to be.

  • Had to rewatch this series after seeing some of the new Game of Thrones series.

  • @corn1971

As much as I love Ned Stark, Richard Sharpe would fuck his shit up all over Westeros.

  • The best part of this entire thing is Liz Hurley getting her cans out.

  • @whitfan27 lmfao!

  • @whitfan27 Word

  • I've seen some silly looking military hats in my day but I've never seen ones that silly. They must be their own airconditioning units! I don't remember seeing them in history books either. What were they called? It must have been a horror to try to keep them clean. And they thought this would attrack women? hummm

  • @Songsmirth If you mean the hats of the cavalrymen - they are called Czapkas and have Polish/Belorussian origin. Due to this cap, which is on parade richly decorated but on campaign - as seen here - covered with oilcloth or linen, the riders (as unfortunately all cavalry in this series) are to identify as members of the Vistula legion, Polish forces who fought for Napoleon.

  • @Songsmirth Shakos i think is what they are callled, and i think they are meant to make the men look taller, strike fear into the enemies and all that. Just wait until they got a bit smarter than dressing up for the enemy and saying "HEY EVERYBODY, IM RIGHT HERE, KILL ME!!!" :P camouflage is a grreat bit of technology :P

  • the guy that plays sgt. Harper is the best

  • Absolutely love the music at the beginning. Wish I could find a full recording of it somewhere.

  • @IndigoNeutrino search around for the soundtrack to sharpe, i have it, and its on there :)

  • @IndigoNeutrino So badass when the guitar kicks in!

  • @IndigoNeutrino Over the hills and far away: The music of Sharpe still can be found on at least some sites

  • @IndigoNeutrino The music can be found on an album called "Over the Hills and Far Away: The Music of Sharpe" and I think it is on Amazon, at least that's where I bought my copy. Hope that helps.

  • @Madeleinewith3Es Thanks :)

  • @IndigoNeutrino Im pretty sure its on youtube? that is if you mean the opening theme :)

  • hey.... the palnik fuck france

  • Барахло

  • Lol, Sharpe is in command of "Sharpe-shooters"

  • what was the first serial of sharp ??

  • did you know sharpers son (one of his sons) is in another of bernard cornwells books patrick lassan (he is in the starbuck chonicals) i was reading it the other day then i looked up the chairter on the internet and i was like holy hell, thats richard sharps son and it said it at the bottom of the internt pages (in the book Copperhead he has his fathers 1796 heavy cavbalry saber) just thought you guyts wanted to know that fact

  • Ok so I just heard him say the name Nathan Rothschild so I have to ask when I get to the movie Sharpe's Waterloo am I going to hear about how his bank screwed England?

  • There are currently 15 Sharpe movies all starring Sean Bean as Sharpe! Now excuse me I have alot of movies to watch thank you for the upload!

  • During that war polish troops were fighting in Spain on the french side. But still I love this film:-)

    Greetings from Poland:-D

  • @ThePalnik I don't blame them. The polish patriots were willing to shake off their backs the yoke of Russian Empire, A.K.A., prison of nations.

  • I wonder if this movie is popular in France :-)

  • that bit where he gets tripped is fucking awesome!

  • 9 people are french

  • Brian Cox is a legend. A wonderful clip. Many thanks.

  • I love how while Sharpe is fighting those Frenchmen all the other riflemen just stand and watch.....

  • im suprised there is no talk of sharpe getting rebooted on the big screen

  • why he tried to trip him? Assholes

  • @stringerboi class mattered

  • Yum, oporto chicken. I wish I'd taken the city too. Nothing like a good burger straight from the source.

  • Great series..but the music has to go

  • What the heck is up with that music...

  • @DavidUmstattd Bl**dy awfull aint it...trying to get down wit da kids I suppose....ah well John tam makes up for it when he gets singing.

Stmn...where were your marines on the 6th of June 44,oh,yes,thats right, your commanders decided to send the infantry. seriously fella, this time your making a fool of yourself,a quick google of Royal marines operations WW1/WW2 will show you that....anyway,whats all this crap about green sailor boys, this is Sharpe, not generation kill..up the 95th ,what ho! :)

  • @2manynegativewaves Our Marines were fighting in the jungles, against the Japanese, where were YOUR boys then, and there? Exactly,2 different forces, 2 different fronts, stfu.

  • @Halkrath Oh,I dont know...fighting the Japanese in the jungles of Burma......where as our marines were taking part in our succesfull landings in Normandy, your were where on Bloody Omaha?

  • I wish there was a higher budget for these movies because then they could be on par with my other favourite series Hornblower

  • For historicly interested Sharpe fans, I have found some interesting information concerning the accuracy of the muskets of these days:

Prussian accuracy tests in 1790 , whom used a canvas sail of 32 m in width en 1,80 m in hight as target (wich is the size of a infantery compagnie) produced the following results:

    distance 300 m - hits 20 %

    distance200 m - hits 25 %

    distance 140 m - hits 40 %

    distance 70 m - hits 70 %

shots from a distance of above 100 m usually caused no serieous injuries

  • the uniforms that the soldiers that sharpe is with look awsome.I wonder why we stopped wearing them

  • @thomasandspencer101

Because they made too easy a target for American sharpshooters....

Hiding behind a cotton-bale, 'cause I know that comment's gonna draw fire. :)

Do a search on The Battle of New Orleans - Lego Video and see what I mean...

  • @thomasandspencer101 Have you ever tried hiding in Red!? tis not practical...luckily we still wear them at a ceremonial level. But asides from red dye being cheap, by the first world war it just wasn't practical. Khaki unfortunately is.

  • British soldiers actually were not issued tents in this period. They curled up in their blankets and whatever they could scrounge together for shelter.

  • Just started reading Sharpes Enemy yesterday! Its a great book so far pg 150 or something and fuck, how i want a 7 barraled musket!

  • @kisdaflag

Yep! the nock gun definitely wasnt something to be in front of when it went off, shame about the epic reload time and lack of accuracy, but then again if you cant do it in seven shots, you shouldnt do it at all xD

  • dirty slimey frogs...

  • THE SHARPE-SHOOTERS!

  • David Troughton was the best Wellington

  • As was Major Hogan

  • this is a great show from my childhood and it brings me memories, it was introduced to me by my gran who sadly passed away last month

  • They should make a series about Sharpes great-grandfather who fights in the American Revolutionary War and destroys the colonists.

  • Must say I do prefer the bloke who plays Wellington in this.David Troughton. Much prefer him to Hugh Fraser who does Wellington in most of the other episodes.

  • @TheStandofTheLastGuy They actually wore red because it didn't show the blood. Wearing camouflage was deemed to be cowardly and ungentlemanly.

  • @bossozwit They wore red because when Oliver Cromwell set up his new model army with its new fangled uniforms (neber done in europe for whole armies till that time) the cheapest dye they could get was red. The British army just followed the tradition until the advent of the rifle regiments.

  • @TheStandofTheLastGuy They actually wore red because it didn't show the blood. Wearing camoflauge was deemed to be cowardly and ungentlemenly.

  • You know... if those had been light infantry on horseback Wellington would have been shot :D

Kinda funny that they didn't just grab a pistol for the job.

  • they failed cuz they polish

  • mel gibson would cut this sharpe to fucking pieces with the tomahawk...

  • @Sturmmann Oh lets try to start an american war of independence argument with a video who's main posters will be british.

Maybe we should just argue about how mel gibson, in many of his movies, is racist towards british people for some reason and shows us in a really bad light, for some reason.

  • @TheJim9191

guy carries a tomahawk......u want him on ur ass?

  • @TheStandofTheLastGuy

yea they make for great red targets

  • @Sturmmann as opposed to the blue american uniforms that were so much more camouflaged

  • @DJdannydanj

our Marines had light green uniforms

and blue does blend in well at night, dusk and dawn

    cent deny that

  • @Sturmmann and marines fight on boats in the middle of the sea, where there is no green, and you're a tiny bit screwed in the daytime, which is when most battles took place

  • @DJdannydanj

American Marines wrote the books on amphibious warfare since the 1770s, they spent alot of time on land.

The American dark blue uniform would blend in amazingly at dawn, dusk and obviously at night.

thats about 10-12 hrs of effectiveness....whereas the redcoats would never blend in, unless it was pitch dark. There is no red in nature, first lesson in camouflage taught to all snipers....

red is an eye sore regardless, especially in the snow covered environment

  • @Sturmmann i don't think soldiers that have been around for less than 5 years are likely to 'write the books on amphibious warfare'

there is no blue in nature either, and since most battles of the period involved lining up and firing volleys at the enemy, discipline and skill was a lot more worthwhile than hiding

    and what snow covered environment

  • @DJdannydanj

the US Marines were used in the amphibious role more often since 1775 than any other Maritime force in history, let alone the Royal Marines which only served to guard ships and sailors for centuries.

Valley Forge? remember it snows in the colonies, red coats dont exactly blend into the snow behind it.

there is some blue in nature, not in the overall foliage but it is a dark color that doesnt attract the eye. The modern gray uniforms do a decent job at staying out of sight

  • @Sturmmann the reason the Royal Marines didn't serve in the amphibious role was because regular army troops are trained for it

also blue doesn't exactly blend into snow either, and if i was looking at some foliage i would notice some blue

    and incidentally, what grey uniforms

  • @DJdannydanj

wearing a blue uniform is like wearing a broken watch

    it's still correct 2 times a day

and a blue uniformed soldier cant be seen in the dark

Its regretable that the early RMs werent entrusted with actual infantry missions

  • @Sturmmann it's not regretable, they fought in the role they were trained for

and as i pointed out before, camouflage was pretty useless in the period, except for light infantry

  • @DJdannydanj

the red coats were useless, they violated hubris

you cant say a blue uniform is useless when a band of skirmishers on a nighttime raiding party would be practically invisible 50yds away.

the title of Marine is considered elite by all countries with coastlines, that being said a Marine isnt an armed sailor, and it is sad that the Royal Marines were neglected, despite their assigned duties. They werent allowed to do any interesting stuff like beach landings.

  • @Sturmmann violated hubris does not even make grammatical sense

british skirmishers often wore green or brown

as i said before, the royal marines weren't neglected, they did their job

they didn't do beach landings because that was the army's job

  • @DJdannydanj I agree, the army's realm is the land, the marine's realm should logically be defending the water.

  • @sniperquasi

RMs were true to their calling but ended up doing alot less to earn their reputation in their own field. The US Marines on the other hand were the fast deploying expeditionary force USA could depend on during the early 1900s to sort out the insurrections in the Carribbean and S. America. In fact they were vital to America's emergence as a superpower.

  • @DJdannydanj

It doesnt make sense? The Red Baron painted his plane red to "strike fear" in his enemies but to feel his own pride at the same time. Same shit with the red coat uniform. Boer marksmanship made them pay dearly for that violation of hubris (confident arrogance) and were the main reason the Brits didnt enter WW1 with a non khaki colored uniform.....Im sure they would ve too.

whats the point of having Marines that cant fight on land? shit ....ours are an elite infantry branch

  • @Sturmmann

What you're descibing is basically light infantry in everything but name. Why not have the navy do it's job, and the army do theirs. Regardless of what the marines have achieved under a false pretense, couldn't the army have done the job just as well? Hubris is basically like arrogance. Violation of arrogance doesn't make a lot of sense, if any.

  • @sniperquasi

well ask richthofen and why he didnt survive the war

or the hundreds of redcoats mowed down by the boers in south africa

contrary to popular belief, most american militiamen and early soldiers wore brown and light green uniforms during the revolution, only as the funding increased could they afford the dark blue uniforms

  • @Sturmmann it's evidently not shit because the red baron was the best fighter ace of the first world war. we did enter ww1 with a khaki coloured uniform

and the modern royal marines *commando* are an elite rapid insertion force

  • @DJdannydanj

yea and what have the RMCs done for you except disperse some spick rebels in the falklands and loose ground to the taliban recently?

btw red baron didnt survive the war, his pride cost him his life.

  • @Sturmmann Without his pride, he couldn't have gained his fame. Also, the RMC are excellent troops that can perform the same role on a smaller scale as your venerated "strategic marines" ideal.

Also, the british already used khaki in the tropics, long before the boer war. I think that perhaps, if it were up to you, all soldiers would be marines dressed in hessian sacks performing outside of their branch.

  • @Sturmmann if you're talking about the falklands war i'd suggest you get some learning, because your military leaders described a counter invasion as a military impossibility, and we won

also the royal marines along with the army and the RAF regiment have gained ground in kandahar and sangin

and the red baron was still the best

  • @Sturmmann What a troll, "spick rebels" ? They were a Military, stillare, and they were a formidable enemy. What gave the british the upper hand was the cut off, of the Stanley runway. The Argentines couldn't get much in for supplies and were cut off from reinforcements. They were however a tough enemy for the British. Many lives were lost, read your history fuckwad.

  • @Sturmmann The British red coats were red because red dye was cheap. Only the French and Austrians were cheaper, because they usually didn't dye the uniforms and just bleached them white.

Richthofen painted it red because his squadron was ordered to paint the planes. The rest of the squadron painted theirs in hilarious colors, earning the name "Flying Circus."

  • @Sturmmann Your marines are descended from ours, and when at Bladdensburg they faced each other, yours didn't stand a chance. Not all marines are considered elite, what nonsense. Royal Marines are commandoes, yours aren't. Spout your misinformation elsewhere.

  • @stig781

i doesnt fucking matter who descended from who, royal marines didnt take fallujah, iwo jima, tarawa, guadalcanal or participated in a single major land campaign.

they can show their commando status up their asses because they arent worth shit in helmand right now.

We didnt even trust them with Marjah because of all the territory the brits in general lost to the taliban prior to 2nd Batt. 9th Marines being deployed in 2008. I saw for myself

  • @Sturmmann "American Marines wrote the books on amphibious warfare since the 1770s"

Again, they are based entirely on british traditions and practices, remember? Saying the royal marines "only served to guard ships and sailors for centuries" only shows you're an idiot trying to be insulting.

  • @stig781

the motto of the US Marines was Per Mare Per Terram until the mid 1800s.

the US Marines stayed true to that motto, unlike the royal marines who never made their appearance in any major offensive during WW1

if the 5th Marine Regt was trusted with Gallipoli, things would've ended much differently

that was a perfect opportunity for RMCs to show themselves and you dumbasses sent the infantry, how the fuck do you get beaten by a bunch of turks

  • @Sturmmann You need to take a pill and sit down son.You ever read any books in the Corp?Gallipoli was a battle fought against a well entrenched and motivated enemy. The Turks were not the army they are today and they were in prepared positions, well equipped and led.Gallipoli was a screw up in planning, not in the courage of the men who fought it.The only people who think the USMC are any good is the USMC everyone else recognises them for what they are, trigger happy clowns.

  • @onionanon I believe the Japanese would acknowledge, based on the fact that they were pushed from one entrenched, bunker-heavy island from the other, all across the pacific, that the US Marines pack a bunch. I think they're overproud and possibly psychotic as a group, but there's no denying their potency.

  • @stig781 There first role, WAS to guard ships, and be at sea, asshole.

  • One does not simply walk into Spain. Its shores are guarded by more than just spaniards. There is evil there that does not sleep, and the Emperor is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and ash and dust, the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume. Not with ten thousand men could you do this. It is folly.

  • @MartinTraXAA oh hah ha, very funny

  • @MartinTraXAA HAVE YOU HEARD NOTHING LORD WELLINGTON HAS SAID? BONAPARTE MUST BE DESTROYED!

  • @TheAle89515 Why are you yelling?

  • @TheAle89515 I know you said this six months ago but why are you yelling? Maybe you don't know that putting your comment in all caps in considered yelling online. :) Songs P.S. It's also difficult to read. Some older people write like this because they can't see the smaller case. If that is you, I'm sorry. :) Songs

  • @Songsmirth I'm not sure where to start. If MartinTraX's comment is still visible, then it should be apparent that I was responding to his comment by quoting Legolas from the Lord of the Rings, and he was angry in the movie when he said it (thus caps). I simply replaced "Lord Elrond" in the quote with "Lord Wellington" and "The Ring" with "Bonaparte". Taken out of context obviously my comment makes very little sense.

  • @MartinTraXAA Lmao wery funny comments :)

  • @MartinTraXAA

    LoL

  • @MartinTraXAA hahaha! fantastic! x
