If humans would not be able to comprehend the processes/thoughts/actions of artilects - how do we know that the universe is not already one big artilect / network of them..? It would make sense given the size/age of the universe and the probability of multiple occurrences of life and thus development of technology elsewhere in the cosmos, that this singularity has already happened ( possibly multiples of times ).
I can see this stuff being a repeat of the failures of communism.
