In fact, in the end when Lestat bites Jesse and she becomes a vampire, it looks more of a Daughter Father relationship. Like Lestat and Louise. Yes, I think Lestat thinks of Jesse more of his responsibility like he's a parent. it sort of suggested romance, but it seemed nothing other than what it was really.

Yeah, the film Marius is not quite what Marius in fact is. In true vision his reasons for choosing Lestat would've been completely different - very loving and emotional- totally NOT random & he's so not creepy. The film fucked up everything. EVERYTHING. Anyway, if you're truly interested in why Jesse isn't good for Lestat, please, read the number 2 reason for "Why The Hate?" on my Lestat & Jesse Hate Site. It's true, it's quite an 'innocent' song. But for some reason that's how I always viewed the relationship between Jessie and Lestat. I mean it was more of a *forbidden* attraction, but there was some sort of innocence, a vulnerability to it... Unlike Lestat and Akasha which was purely sexual, Lestat and Jessie never even kissed.
i agree COMPLETELY! i mean, it had a great combination, the song and film went along well, but the song is too 'preppy' for a gothic vampire movie. i mean, not the best combination ever. but still a good video.
