  • buyers have sellers by the balls untill they leave feedback for the transaction they can pull allsorts of trick iv had 3 people pull the revers payment scam on me 2 of them faild the first one got away with it but i have got wise

  • @dummyspitter - share your ideas with us or send a video so we can pass it on to others. thank you, Jack the Unknown Picker

  • Ebay is doing this to me now for a $275.00 item that the buyer won't ship back to me................. I have no money in my Pay Pal account now and I guess that this is the end of my selling on Ebay...

I have been selling for twelve years and about $200,000 in sales so they are just tired of me paying them every month.....

  • @salvage35, yea buddy, thats how they operate.

  • @salvage35 >"Ebay is doing this to me now.."

eBay is doing what to you now? Isn't this covered by the Buyer Protection insurance? Isn't it the insurance company that has to eat the loss, where you (the seller) only get a bad rating for that particular transaction?? (I know getting a bad rating sucks, but having to fork over cash too would "double suck")

  • @salvage35 -wow that does suck, I dont understand it. jack

  • good idea, jack here

  • Just FYI to people. There is a way to block people from Puerto Rico and I suggest you do. I also do not ship overseas any longer either. Every single time something goes to PR, it takes forever (the mail system), people complain, and it just isn't worth the hassle.

Ebay should also give control to sellers who do not want buyers with under a certain number of feedback. Almost inevitably, if I have issues with someone, they have under 10 feedback. It angers me that we cannot.

  • I had this happen to me.. she kept the item and my money..Ebay hasn't replied to me yet regarding this.. unbelievable.

  • @OCVINTAGECOUTURE If you look at the comments - this happens to many and makes us wonder how many. It seems like they just give your stuff away. thanks for the comment, Jack the Unknown Picker

  • Cancancan247 wrote the same email as the video. They were a new 1 month user with 5 feedback. I've been doing eBay for years and this buyer knew exactly what to say.

  • @Bedroombiology - they have done it before, thanks for the info Jack

  • Wow! I am going through the same identical thing but with a BMX bike. "not as described give me $250 and I'll give you good feedback"

  • @Bedroombiology - they ask for money and eBay don't care, Jack

  • I'm not sure that ebay favors buyers, because I'd paid $19.99 for an item and didn't receive the item at all, but when I complained nothing happened, except that the seller kept the money and ebay deleted the, what I'd later learned was a fictitious account, so I lost out all of the way around.

  • @n8ivelover That is only the second time I have heard that. But sure it happens like that also. Sorry for your loss.

  • I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again, but as soon as another option is available, I won't be selling on Ebay any longer. They have done nothing but piss off sellers for years, all take and no give. They really should give the right to give bad feedback to buyers again. That was the worst move. They are a bunch of greedy motherfuckers.

I already sell on Craigslist as often as possible and bypass ebay completely.

I'm sorry you were ripped off.

  • @shadowfaxx1 - I have no idea what they can do to fix it, but your right they need to fix it. Jack

  • i f***ing hate ebay i stop selling on ebay due to this issue.

  • @mikeo6000 -you are not alone, jack

  • I would love to beat the shit out of a few buyers. If only I knew their exact addresses.

  • @wmanns11 It seems the majority feels like you do, crazy world, but at a point they will feel the heat, money heat, thanks wmanns Jack the Unknown Picker

  • My story is a little different. I sold a radar detector I bought on Ebay that worked fine for me from Seattle to Los Angeles. The buyer waited over 30 days to say it "wasn't as described". He got a refund, I get the unit back and it works as it did before. So, he used it and then took advantaged of the 45 day return BP policy Ebay has. I disputed to no avail. After 10 plus years with Ebay and Paypal as a premier member, I'm done. Burn me once. Craigs List local is working for me.

  • @rdownings hard to believe that they are that way, thanks for the comment, Jack the Unknown Picker

  • I was lucky I got the item back working, But Paypal placed a hold on my account for over 25 days. So, my active buying was on hold until Ebay could confirm I received the item back. Everything I sold buyers left feedback within a day or two of receiving it. I should have known something was up when this buyer never left feedback.

  • @rdownings Same thing happened to my partner. They held his money and kept him in that limbo state for about 2 months. In this economy, that is very bad business. People who prove to be thieves should have holds, but completely innocent people? We really layed into someone at Paypal a couple months ago over this issue.

  • @rdownings thanks for the info. Jack the Unknown Picker

  • this is why there is an appeal process, someone honest is not going to claim the buyer didn't send back the actual item that was shipped out in the first place. The appeal process is made so that you can send in your proof, this is why you won the claim. So the system actually worked. I can bet that after the 1st bad mark he got, his account is no longer registered.

  • i had a douchebag opend a dispute for a processor, 'intel 980x' for $490, and states he received a different processor a i3 processor, yes that's when the trouble starts, how could i prove i sent it impossible and The police didn't want to get involved because it wasn't big enough case, and he sent me back the 'Processor' and to my surprise it was damaged and Ebay refunded Him straight away after 5 days passed. i was left Gob smacked this proves how easy it is to scam on Ebay and be dishonest

  • @MsPcengineer I know what you mean. I watch Vince pull his hair out every day. lol

  • Hi,thanks so much for making this video.Ive been selling on Ebay for five years 100% feedback and fell victim to this policy. My experience is similar and waiting for my item to be returned. This policy has forced me to stop selling because it is heavily abused. The buyer richardbonn after having item 3 weeks claimed she was unhappy yet she wanted to keep it kept wanting money off lowering amount every time with threats.Horrible policy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @joehen5 Update, never sent item back to me.Item not as described but she wanted to keep it,go figure.

  • i glad to see you got your money back with the appeal i been ripped off so many times on ebay myself good for you and fu#k them scumbags

  • put it this way, their are some seriously dirty mother fuk%%RS on Ebay, you need to be careful some try it on and most of the time they win it's a jungle

  • A recent story I heard...a guy sold a guitar for $1,250 on ebay, the buyer was in Germany. So the buyer complains to ebay, ebay returns his money, and the guy never returns the guitar! Scammers are working hand in hand with ebay.

  • jazsingh99 (Ebay) is a thieft. Don't ever let them bid on your auctions.

  • @mistylyn12345 Thanks for the heads-up, I'll add them to my BLOCKED BIDDER'S LIST.

  • 95% of the time eBay sides with the buyer, no matter what the case. It's sickening.

  • Ebay should let you submit a video tape of you walking to your door or po box and opening the package in front of them.

  • these are very bad buyer which i collect from me and the others seller. please add these asshold on you blocking list . it help you prevent problem later "gators_damim,jumpman29, juvelady, kowasaki, louisagard, mailnet.123, maverickmayo, mhil7082, mrmarvelous707, nbs_irvine, ncnlp92505pina, nextwebsales, nightdiver1mh, niuniup10, ofirshtrull, parisvintageboutiques, peque.11, planeta71, radio3411, renegadeshade, rrakeshchandran, shahidabbas, shierlyblah, tawnyculver, tmhampton1, zhyper13

  • I'm a buyer who bought a TV 'new in box'- but it didn't work. I wanted to send back to seller and get my refund plus costs incurred to send back. Under ""Ebay Buyer Protection"" I have to send the TV back at my own cost to qualify for the just the money I laid out first. Basically, The seller is at no loss, and I am down postage costs - why is that fair? And how is the buyer "protected"?

  • @bluesparklejet Lesson learned is SHIPPING IS ALWAYS AT RISK. If something is very expensive to ship, you are probably best off buying it at your local WALMART. If it is broke, WALMART won't pay for your gas to drive it back, but that is probably less than the cost to ship it.

  • @PickersInc11 Sure - lesson learned! BUT shouldn't Ebay make this clear in advance?? i.e. 'we provide buyer protection but this does not cover your costs of posting back if you need to get a rtefund' ?? Surely it should be called Ebay Buyer PARTIAL Protection. Then the buyer is pre-warned and doesn't have to lose money learning the hard way?

  • as a veteren seller on ebay for 10 years now, i have noticed as of late the ebay buyer protection program has opened the doors to every con, scammer, thief etc, and the numbers grow daily. now, we the sellers with steller proformance are the victims, and yes, ebay and paypal's policy is promoting and helping them steal, extort, and abuse. solution: we sellers have to comunicate to each other to screen buyers based on preformance. maybe an off ebay site for us to check . then we could cancel sale

  • @mrspiercedolls An off eBay "reputation" site is an interesting idea, however, there is nothing I can see to keep the scammers from constantly rotating accounts...

  • if your a business you probably have to deal with this, but im not a business and i will not tolerate this crap as i dont rely on it to make money, can you live without ebay, i can. i would not happy to be part of this scam site.

  • @thumper444 You are right, we must deal with it. However, knowledge is power. Know what CAN happen, and keep your guard up to minimize the risks.

    -Vince

  • Oh yeah a lady brought video games off me and lied and said they were counterfiet and damage and she got refunded by ebay out of there pockets and she kept my games ebay didn't even make her send them back to me kubusaki88 was the buyer fuck that scamer bitch.

  • @madarao1991 Some buyers think they are going to be scammed by a counterfeit before you even ship an item, once they get it their powerful mind assures them it is a fake. This has happened to us several times on authentic items.

  • I hate ebay of a buyer lies and say a item is fake or counterfiet ebay will let the buyer keep the item and get there money back fucking over the seller.

  • i think ebay is going down fast right now, i hear a lot of complains okay they made it better right now but it still sucks that sellers aren't protected.

  • God will punish eBay management one day

  • @TIMXU7704 One day there will be competition....Come on Google/Facebook, lets think auctoins!

  • I am a power seller same time a top rated seller on eBay, but I hate eBay, they are way too greedy, and they bring tons international buyers and sellers to this market, which hurt USA economy a lot, same time raised a bunch of thieves take advantage of their policy, I guarantee they know they are helping those bad guys, but he also know he can screw the seller in any way without consequence at this moment.

  • Poor guy. I wish there was an ebay hitman that you could send out to crappy buyers to deliver a little refund

  • @NERxLLLx Hey now there is an idea for a website! ebayhitman. Hitman get feedback ratings on how fast they catch the crooks... -Vince

  • I had a guy who buys and sells iPods buy a nano from me then start a claim that the battery was bad and that itunes gave an error with it. Luckily I investigated into his account a little and noticed he had already resold it and how did he plan on sending it back to me. Next day he had closed the case.

So always check the buyers selling and sold history when you suspect that the buyer is trying to swap an item.

Ebay dont lose any money on refunds, they just push up selling fees for everyone.

  • @danguy2009 Thanks for the tips Dan. Also be careful as many people have multiple ID's, so you may need to figure out there other account user names.

  • i can't believe you actually got a refund from ebay your a rare one, good for you

  • @allison481959 That was honestly a big surprise. I just hope the next time I need to call that they tell me I have a "history" of requesting money from them. -Vince

  • Well thanks to DogmaticFool I now know that "717tom" cost me $130+ and is now operating as "radio3411". Check out item 120757095396 RCA Radio. The radio was operating fine when I shipped it. radio3411 claimed it didn't work and the speaker was damaged. I told him to send pictures and we might work out the problem. No pictures radio3411 says he wants a refund and returns my radio with the speaker LOOSE in the case and backwards which destroyed the cabinet in return shipping - ebaaydave

  • @antiqueradiodave - this is out of hand -

  • @antiqueradiodave Yes he has changed his eBay user id, but I am certain he has created other accounts as well.

  • @PickersInc11 Well, I got a refund from Ebay! Honestly this is the first good thing they've EVER done for me - in nine years selling - your video encouraged me to appeal the case.

Ebay is a scammer's paradise and they know it.

  • @antiqueradiodave Awesome! Thanks for coming back and posting the outcome.

  • Sorry to hear about this situation. Thank you for sharing it. I am new to ebay and this is exactly the kind of stuff people need to hear.

P.S. I think this jerkhole changed his ebay name.

    Peace out,

    DogmaticFool

  • @dogmaticfool It doesn't happen often, but you must keep your guard up. -Vince

  • Would have liked to hear what everyone though would be a better solution. Remember, videotaping opening up packages doesn't work because even that can be staged.

  • @freethrillsdotcom In the "good old days" eBay stayed out of it. It was up to buyers & sellers to work things out. The feedback system was used to evaluate good & bad sellers/buyers. I wish they would go back to this old system that always worked. They should not get in the middle of a transaction, and we should be able to leave bad buyers like "Tom" negative feedback.

  • @zozanday - it probially happens more than we know. If you know of anyone let us know-thanks- jack

  • Just added this guys user name to my block bidder list on Ebay. Hate Guys like this!

  • @IdahoPickerSteve thanks and we should compile a list of people like him and all of us block him. Jack the unknown picker

  • are you discussing ways of getting around ebay policies gilbertbigelow ebay id aaaism?

  • did you have permission to use info gathered from ebay outside of ebay?

  • did you have permission to use this id outside of ebay?

  • Well things are slowing down probably because the time of year it is, but their are still some products out their that do very well during this time of year and their are alot of products that do well all year, it is are job to figure out what those products are, If you can do that then you can make a nice living on ebay. You guys know the game.

  • sorry to hear you got burned a little I think its part of ebay unfortunatley, and unfortunatley we neeed ebay and ebay know's this. I don't refund anyone their money until the package is sent back to me and I have inspected it. Their are way to many people on ebay that are trying to rip you off I hate to say maybe 1 out of every 10 to 15 customers I have

  • @jonkanner - things are slowing down on top of it- great comment- jack

  • It's unfortunate that the scammer didn't use the words feedback or seller ratings in his threats because then you could have argued Feedback Extortion... Ebay needs to wake up and get their act together because this is an example of bad business... leave positive feedback but spell out exactly what happened in the feedback

  • @aerotrench watch ebay stock and see where its going -

  • What you can do to "Bad Buyers" is leave them a positive feedback but in the statement say what they are. eBay will let this stand. So go to leave feedback say it is positive and then slam the fool with all the character they give you.

  • @GilbertBigelow - I like your style but Vince is a nice guy and will probially not give this guy problems. jack

  • The thief lives in Lebanon Pennsylvania. Too bad Vince is too honest to put his address down for us to visit and maybe take a look for his stuff. The new name is radio3411. As a community we can play the same. Put this user into your favorite sellers list on eBay and when he puts stuff up for sell we can buy it and then extort this user at every chance. It will be fun

  • @GilbertBigelow - it sound like you know what your doing and I like it - Vince was really upset with this watch the video close and watch his eyes and hands - he wanted to tell all about it. I would give you his name, home phone, and px, and pictures of him - but Vince doesnt like to go that route.

  • Wow just popped up his name and he changed it to radio3411 What a piece of shit.

  • Ebay keeps getting worse and worse.

  • hey vince ,yo jack.... people are finding new ways to get ya all the time,,, sorry to see the shape of your radio skeleton

  • @PickerNation Hey nice to hear from - the radio needs a face lift, lol, never seen vince so upset, jack

  • Be sure to get delivery confirmation and keep the records for 1 year on all items sent.

  • Yeah I got scammed by a buyer who claims he never received the item. I send to his paypal address.

  • I really have a hard time selling on eBay. The reason is a while back I found a guy ripping off Guy Kowasaki selling a pirated copy of his intellectual property. EBay did jack squat and the guy was still selling! This just does not float with me. I just don't like the format, but eBay is cutting their own throats. They are hard not to utilize, but there are many other options. Just not the same traffic.

  • @GrizzlyGroundswell Im in agrement with you - I dont like them - I prefer the personal touch - flea mkts, store, shows, ect, oh yes.

  • As soon as he said "Give me $25 or I take it to Ebay", INSTANTLY open a claim against him. That will stop something like this from happening before it can start.

  • @itsDJR - makes a good balance - sounds like great advice- jack

  • Don't feel bad...Two summers ago I sold a $500 Vintage Buffalo, Mountain Man Coat to a trader in New Mexico....He ripped 8 different seams, 12"+ long, evidently looking for old Indian Maps that sometimes are on the skin side of the hide, then wanted to return the coat saying it wasn't Buffalo...I provided ebay with photos proving my case - They found for the Buyer, denied my damage claim and returned the Buyers $500 from my frozen PayPal account - You are lucky for the new policy!!

  • @rkorsberg - now thats good info - Jack

  • I think you point is well taken, since just this evening i just heard another story about extortion. i am glad that you identified this buyer so they can be blocked.

  • @pixiestix55 - hi pixie - blocked is the key and it should be done right away - jack

  • If this was me in this situation I would file a complaint against ebay with the Better Business Bureau stating exactly what happened. You can also contact the state Attorney Generals Office and file a complaint with them too. That guy railroaded you and ebay is held accountable for this whether they admit or not. They are running an online auction and have to follow the rules themself. EBay lies to sellers and they are held accountable for situations like this.

  • @Ohio1TreasureHunter good idea - Jack

  • EBay lets the scammers get away with whatever they want. They dont care at all. Another scam going on is a buyer will email a month, even 2 later stating they never got an item. EVEN when you had delivery confirmation on the item. They are thinking most people throw away or lose the delivery confirmation. EBay has so many class action suits against them because they are allowing scammers to run rampit and screw sellers.

  • @Ohio1TreasureHunter - now that sounds like a great video - where can I find out about about all the law suits - sounds great and thanks for the video.

  • Maybe 717TOM sells these stolen tubes on the open market. I just checked this ebay out and noticed that this buyer has been buying alot of vintage radio tubes from other sellers lately.

  • @prettysteeve47 - you are on the ball - he probially makes a little money or alot selling what he has stolden.

  • @prettysteeve47 The sad thing is sellers are only allowed to leave POSITIVE feedback. 717tom only buys with this account, so of course he looks like a real great guy with 100% feedback. Even I left him a positve feedback after he paid for the radio. Who would of guessed what would happen down the road. He probably sells the stolen goods with another eBay account or offline. The red flag is that his account is only 3 months old, this means he likely rotates accounts to keep up the scam.

  • I think sales are dropping and they are trying to boost their sales - Jack

  • Good to hear you got your money back, in the long run maybe this is a good thing in that it will bring good quality items back to the shows and out of Feebay.

As for gold bars in my area there stealing jewelry out of showcases and I hear stories of people being robbed more these days so its not just crooks on Feebay stealing stuff.

The Walmart happy face makes this sour down video look funny, go to Walmart Vince you see more of those silly happy faces there and it might make you feel better.

  • AGREE on all fronts when it comes to a flawed system...... glad you at least got your money back Vince......

  • @ounitproductions he was lucky to get his money back.

  • I think Ebay protection is a brilliant system. They are using economic statistics in their favor. Yes they will lose money on this and several other transactions. However the honest people who can now trust that they are protected will have no problem buying off of Ebay. These added sales will far outweigh the loses. A "bad" buyer can only get by with it a few times before they are shut down. It's not that easy to set up new accounts (i.e you can't have the same address).

  • @RubberWilbur Good point, although I don't think it should count against a seller when a buyer opens a claim (especially if the seller has tried to work it out prior to the claim being opened).

  • ¡great!

  • Post his ebay username.

  • @norxcontacts 717tom is his user ID and he has been blocked from bidding on our future items.

  • This is why i left E-BAY!! I went to ecrater.com Got my own store for free. No charg I allso sale on eBid..I will not go on e-bay Again

    THANKS Paul

  • $525 item I am dealing with the a ebay appeal now. ebay wants me to put a new credit card on file just for claims, why don't they do that to buyers put up a Credit card so when they win a "Bid" or "buy it now"they are obligated to pay without backing out, but ebay does not hold they buyer to the agreement. I'm just going to load up all my ebay items and sell them at a local swapmeet. I never hates any thing like I hate ebay.

  • @musicdjmarkb Good point about non-paying buyers. We have seen a big surge in this area. I file about 35 unpaid item disputes every 2 weeks. -Vince

  • Its a tough call. What if the thief in another case was the seller and the buyer did send back a complete radio yet the seller claimed it was incomplete. The ebay system is flawed. They need to allow sellers to leave neg feedbacks once again and they need to beef up registration processes. They need live operator verification of new accounts to deter repeat offenders and duplicate accounts.

  • @aybesee123 The ability to leave negative feedback to buyers would certainly help in situations such as these.

  • Guess who pays for eBay eating the 100 + dollars in the long run? All of us sellers do in higher fees. You know ebay is not going to lose money in the deal, they will just pass this cost of doing business on to us. Still I'm happy you got your money back!

  • @joeysixtysix It is nice to see a seller get some benefits since we are the ones who pay the fees.

  • bummer at least ebay took care of you but sounds like they need to fix a few things sad that some people aren't honest !

  • This deal and the fees are a big reason i dont sell on ebay as much. But they know they have you. It is one of the few places you can get REALLY good money for your items. But it gets to be to much of a hassle . They rob you for fees and then you are not protected. I am glad you got your money back. But still this will always be in the back of your mind.

  • We ship alot of merchandise by 1st class mail - originally without tracking number didn't think anythig about it until one day we got a case opened against us that the item never arrived - this person never emailed us to give us any chance to look into it - we then went through the "process" and found out that if you do not have a tracking number on your item you are SOL buyer wins no matter what! We have since started putting a tracking number on everything!! your vids are great T&D

  • @somelikeitused This is true on 1st class, but also on some PRIORITY MAIL items. Some countries don't offer delivery confirmation on PRIORITY, so in these cases you are SOL. Also, for any item which sells for over $250 the REQUIRE a signature confirmation. We had a package ship Priority to Italy, and it showed DELIVERED. However since there was no signature they ruled in the buyers favor.

  • WOW I cant tell you how mad this makes me. Ebay is a big of a theif as this as$ho%e. This is a big problem. This is not the 1st time this has happened. This is a MAJOR deal. Ebay makes it easy for Scammers. My buddy sold a Mint in Sealed box Gi Joe Sky Striker from the 80s. The buyer said it was opened he wanted his money back or he was going to ebay. SAME DEAL. Well what he got back was a totally different Sky Striker. Beat up box missing parts. So this guy took the good one. sent junk back

  • Yikes I just sold a radio....hope not to the same thief! Corie

  • Wow my sorry mate. I bet he replaced it with a different one of the same kind. Sorry 'bout the news.

    -Danny

  • I meant BLOCK this guy!

  • @ncautoman57 Yes- Blocked him today!

  • I blick this guy!!! What a thief!

  • I never had it happen to me so far!! I am greatful! I have been on ebay 9 years. I have only had maybe 6 problem customers in that time. Crooks will be crooks..Thanks for sharing.

  • @ncautoman57 In all fairness, this was the first time it has happened and we have sold over 30,000 items. However, Buyer protection is new, and I am afraid the crooks may be catching on.

  • I hear so much about ebay this days..Like in4fun type post his ebay name so he can be blocked.

  • I hate that it happened to you. I sure do wish that there was a alternative to ebay. You did get something back that almost looked like a radio, but I watched a video a few weeks back, where a man sold some sold a item and all he got back was a box of out dated magazines several times by the same theives. Ebay did tell him to have a policeman present when the package was opened, so he could witness what was in the box and file a report. Theives are everywhere, but Ebay has crippling policies.

  • We really are at the mercy of thief's and crooks. Then the honest buyers and sellers are looked at with suspicion by each other.

  • We need you to post his ebay name so that we can block him. He needs to go on the black list

  • @in4fun Block this bidder : 717tom
