try keeping your bottom hand low as well this teaches you to bend your knees and your arm helps protect the puck great pros use this to buy time and create open ice
@stepbak91 Just a suggestion, but when you turn does your right foot go up on the heel? That could be a problem and is a lazy turn because the weight is on the back foot. If you practice keeping your balance and weight even when you go into the turn, your lead skate should be flat on the ice with your weight on the ball of your foot and on your outside edge. Then you will have power in the turn. Bad explanation, but that might be the problem.
anytime you have a chance practice or in a game try using your week side it will take a while but youll start to get a custume to using your weeker side
Just curious who the instructor is, obviously a very skilled guy, what level did he play at?

Could this be easier learnt without a stick? Or is the stick helpful in balance.

@thescrounger1 ok thanks a lot i will try it but what exactly is the ball of your foot?
stepbak91 1 year ago
@stepbak91
Ball of your foot is the area just behind your toes, basically the front of your foot -- the part that you jump or run with.

Microphone is near his mouth for better sound quality. Sure, anyone one will be out of breath after hard skating.
