  • In 1990 she was very beautiful... she seems like a top model

  • Madonna and Britney = THE BEST

  • Who hasn't been inspired by Debbie Harry since the 80's?

  • To admit she admired Blondies Debbie Harry is a shock she has never admited to anyone before that she was inspired by a woman in music up to this point I think it killed her to say it though.

  • @MrLayford65 it didnt kill her to admit this....she is famous for saying it....u dont know her it seems

  • @MrLayford65 She has directly admitted to being inspired by her since the beginning, a lot more than for example lady gaga thanks Madonna for inspiration (she never directly said she's inspired by madonna) and honestly, madonna and debbie harry are nowhere near alike as madonna and gaga are.

  • lame

  • @TheEpoxyExpert no, not lame. madonna may not be the cup of tea to everyone but she was the beginning of exciting pop! we can't take that away from her legacy =}

  • She's look so like Gwen stefani!!!!!!

  • @roei105 stefani looks like madonna!!!!!!!

  • she look and sound better than Britney

  • this interviewer to me looks like an absolute feckin dooshbag. tryin his best to strike poses and look cool while asking questions. what a complete greasy, tashed dweeb he comes across as..

  • I love Madonna forever

  • She was sweet way back before Truth or Dare

  • What is so arrogant aboout that? Madonnna is an artist and performer. Her bluntness and she speaks her mind to people like you to LIGHTEN UP!.

  • i love her makeup in this interview

  • Nice!!

  • i feel the same way about her

conert how she feels about david bowie <3

  • Excellent artist for sure!

  • she looks as one part in "truth or dare" i guess is the same day

  • yeah, that was then...

  • she looks so different on this video...

  • what´s the name of the first song that Madonna sing ???in the begining of this video?

  • The Four Tops - Sugar Pie Honey Bunch

  • she seemed to bereveal that there are hidden symbols and concepts in her shows that teens are not meant to understand or incapable of , but are meant to be there for another reason ..

ritual subliminal programming on one level and goddess worship ...seems to me she was practicing kaballah concepts at an earlier part of her career

  • Madonna Queen of Pop

  • Madonna didn't write Like A Virgin or Material Girl OR Papa Don't Preach etc...So I don't know what the fuck shes talking about the Surpremes that way

  • yeah but she wrote loads of her other songs, lucky star, like a prayer, ray of light lots

  • i thin she has written 95 percent of her songs and she is a executive producer of her music

  • sp who cares¿? she wrote most of her songs look for her discography and see the credicts, she has written 95 percent of her songs and produced them all;)

  • well like a virgin and material girl she indeed did not write them but hey those are not even her bigest songs! and by the way she did write aditional lyrics to papa don't preach. and till now including celebration she released she has released about 74 singles from which she did not write like 8 so what does that mean to you? i think that what se means. she is in control,, whe wrote and co produced all her albums since the like a virgin album!!!!

  • No way. Madonna's first top five hit was "Lucky Star". She wrote that song all by herself. And ever since then, she has produced everything she has released. She had written over 90 percent of her music and that is commendable. She is up there with Michael Jackson as a pop song writer. Elvis didn't even write his songs. The Beatles has two great collaborators. Madonna has done it on her own. Selecting a different producer every step of the way and still making consistently good pop music.

  • i love madonna but other artist write like 2 songs by themselves eg britney the only two music peopl i can give credit to is MADONNA and Lady GaGa its weird cause madonna's music has encouraged me to express myself through music and now lady gaga has given me the power to sing better cause she has different style like in her acustic stuff so thats good but madonna's msuic is more like my daily music listenings and gaga's too britney hasnt released anything great since blackout

  • "be in control of your life" right on.

  • la adoro con le margherite!!!!!!!!

  • OMG it's Guy Ritchie in is past life LOL

  • lol

  • tell me Im seeing things but isnt the interviewer guy ritchie in a tash??

  • SUPERMINXY: No, you're not. I thought the same thing.

  • I tell my 13 year old Madonn was my hannah montanna, LOL, maybe I shouldnt tell her that, but she was, but my daughter can stick with her miles cyrus

  • I'm 14 and I'm a fan of Madonna lol haha

    Not Miley, please!!

  • @mdolla80s Haha yeah at 14 I discovered Madonna and I'll say NOT Britney...

  • @mdolla80s im a fan of both! lol and im 17

    they cant be compared

  • Madonna is the bomb :D lol..

ok i didnt jst say bomb :(HAHA

    (but she is)

  • This interviewer is a big ASSHOLE!

  • isn't that style immortal?...

  • watchin this again - i actually think madonna turned me into the feminist i ve become :)) so funny considerin she was so much bashed by American feminists for her use of sexuality.

the msg i got as a teen from her (without seein this interview) was exactly as she put it: be strong, know what you can do, trust yourself, work hard, you re the master of your fate. and power to the "misbehaving" women :))

  • That interviewer is so flirting with M

  • What the fuck she looks so beautiful in this interview she IS the most beautiful woman on earth!

  • your trippin lol

  • Comment removed

  • I would say Bowie sits at the top as the most unique male artist but I can't figure any other female that would go above Madonna. However if we compare Bowie and Madonna, Bowie definitely comes first - he's done those things before her and even she acknowledges that.

  • She's certainly the most famous, driven and perhaps even influential but in terms of artistic merit i could name a couple of female artists that trump her, PJ Harvey, Bjork and Kate Bush. Alison Goldfrapp is definitley one to watch.

  • Absolutely, I would even add Debbie Harry, Joni Mitchell, Patti Smith, Annie Lennox, Tori Amos, among many others that could either sing or write better than her - but when you look at things from a general aspect and value her entire body of work - as commercial as it may be - it would be ridiculous to rank her lower.

  • Agreed;)

  • come on BOWIE???

..uh Michael Jackson ring a bell?

  • Not really, Bowie did elaborative theatrical shows back in the 70's, MJ's first theatrical show was the Dangerous tour in 1992 so obviously he wouldn't ring a bell. In the 80's Michael's shows were a typical rock show with a bunch of his signature dance moves and laser lights thrown in the mix but other than that they weren't theatrical at all. Musically they are both innovative but very different to be compared, however Bowie comes first for not sticking to the same formula.

  • aw fuk off lol. michael jackson is a legand.. thriller was the biggest selling hit in the world.. and till is, noone has ever been able to top it :Dxxxxxx ..Bowie..HA!

  • No one said he's not a legend, wtf are you on? This isn't about sales either, Streisand is the top selling female in the US and Mariah Carey has the most #1 singles, but that doesn't make them more innovative than Madonna. Likewise, Thriller being the top selling album of all time doesn't make Michael more innovative than Bowie.

  • im not on anythin, im 16 moron lol..

yes it does to me :)

  • Nobody asked about your age LOL

Unless you meant 'i'm a 16 yr old moron' then that would make more sense. :)

  • NAH HUNNI :D.. I said im 16 so why wood i be on something.. unless its normal to be a druggy at tht age where you were brought up?

and anybody who has a youtube name called "freakin eye" (watever the hell tht it) has no right to call ANYONE a moron lolol !

  • It is normal to be addicted at that age, you could be hooked on antidepressants for all I know. So you are a moron after all. :)

  • lol.. its not normal at all HAHA..

antidepressants? dont judge my life by your standards lol, your mite be depressed but im young and happy babe :D.

Ok, Moron it is.. Freak :)(Y) x

  • I'm young and happy too but there are miserable kids out there. But anyway it's pretty cool you're into MJ and Madonna, most pple my age aren't into anyone that came out before 1995-2000 which is absolutely pathetic.

  • i know it is:) when u say michael jackson to ppl my age straight away they think pervert lol.. but they forget what he was before all that.

  • Michael Jackson is innovative, and David Bowie is innovative. They have innovated music and performance in different ways. I'm a huge fan of both of them.

  • Oh please, go do your research. His insurance company was forced to pay out, he had no choice in the matter. It's amazing how many people love to quote this stuff, but haven't actually read the court documents.

  • not a fact but your opinion

  • sorry it's a FACT 100%.. NOBODY innocent ever pays money.. NOBODY especialy with teh amount of money he HAD and attorneys at his disposal. youare delusional and can't accept that Miceal jackson is GAY and a PEDOPHILE>..

  • Your arse it's fact.

  • WRONG ! I didn't actually comment on whether Michael Jackson is innocent or not (you certainly DON'T know 100%) and can assure you i'm not delusional. I simply stated your previous comment was not a fact but your opionion- that is a FACT !

  • Yes but everybody has had somebody come before them even Bowie. It doesn't mattwe who came first its about how you bring something of yourself to it.

  • She is singing Sugar Pie Honey Bunch by The Temptations, i wish she would sing this song in one of her albums :)

  • I admire she admits Debbie Harry was her rold model, its very obvious.. Todays stars will never give Madonna credit like J-lo. Britney did,,i honestly think britney tried to hard to be madonna, its just not who she is..

  • i hated it in the early 90's when journalists would talk about the blond ambition tour and then show footage of the who's that girl tour.

  • Yea lol but also you have to think they may not have had permission to use any Blond Ambition tour clips. And a funny note if you look at what she's wearing in this ineterview you can see her getting dressed for this interview in Truth or Dare.

  • Brilliant to see her citing Debbie Harry as a role model. Wish they would work together.

  • Debbie has always seemed to have it in for Madonna because Madonna became what Debbie wanted to be. The goal of the band Blondie was to make good music and to be huge pop stars. Madonna beat them to it and she did it in such an amazingly short amount of time.

  • ya.. i ve been a huuuge madonna fan througha ll of my teen years 1994 to maybe 2001 or so.. lost interest later a bit..

one thing i have to say after my fan craze cooled down a bit i coincidentally heard an interview by debbie harry when blondie had a short comeback around 2000. one of her band members said debbie could ve become such an icon given her talent but was less "eaten up" by ambition like madonna.

i think that could be true - madonna has always also been one big sellout..

  • MADONNA is a legend and i love her

  • You idiot. In the context of the questioning Debbie was the honest answer. They are discussing music and such. Marilyn did sing a but but she was no pop star. She was a Hollywood star. (Rolls eyes).

  • to start off: you're the idiot.

to finish off: she could've also mentioned MM for being her physical role model.

    *rolls eyes*

  • Madonna channelled more than Marilyn... she also channelled Veronica Lake, Bette Davis and many other old screen sirens.

  • she talks about david bowie's tour "1984".

  • madonna is correct. i didn't understand the sexual aspect of it all. but i got the message loud and clear to not let anyone stand in your way and to do what you want in life.

  • Madonna was born in 1958. How could she have been in high school in 1984? It doesn't add up.

    Je suis tres confus!

  • i think she meant 1974

  • "1984" was the tour name, not the year. As is Orwell's 1984.

  • David Bowie has a song called "1984" (which Tina Turner covered later). He went on tour when that album was a big hit in the mid 1970s.

  • old f&cks like this f78ker shouldn't interview Madonna. He sounds a lot like my father. Shut the fuck up!? Stupid questions...Madonna had a lot of patience in this interview. Bravo!!!

  • I like the way she bounces and grooves with every beat of the song.. so infectious and still able to sing the song without sounding breathless.. i mean u gotta admit her high-nasal voice at times and then getting deeper and sexier in the late 90s.. whatever it is Madonna is WONDERFUL to watch.

  • I just love madonna.. she is the best

  • Thanks for adding this.
