it's interesting that these companies either had no clue the internet was about to explode onto the public, or they knew Britannica's days were numbered and thus tried to sell as many as possible before that happened, hehe ;) yes, we once used typewriters, mimeograph machines, and encyclopedias. what a time to be alive!! =)

Who uses a computer without internet? Uh, when these commercials were made pretty much no private citizen had the internet. These are 2 fucking decades old.
Now these sort of books are becoming more and more obsolete with Wikipedia being updated all the time.
