  • Being an outsider, a Mexican very much influenced by the US culture, of the British environment, and only drawn in by my wish to earn a post-grad degree in London, I saw the series with awe at first, but once the oboes (or was it the french horns ?) submerged me in a tug-of-war so delightful TV contemplation, and later book-reading, I will only wished it would had last longer. A nice tug, indeed. Best 30 pounds for the tv license. Gracias, europacinema for uploading MY favorite tv show, ever.

  • OK, no.

  • Sorry, a bit lost here is that Terry Gilliam at 6:12 ?

  • Sorry, but no.

  • Everyone who sees or has seen Brideshead takes away their own personal feelings and their own interpretations of it. All the literary critics in the world cannot dictate or influence anyone else's feelings about this wonderful story.

Mine is best described by Ryder's own words re the excursion to Venice: "Drowning in honey, stingless."

  • I wouldn't have liked Leo Tolstoy either, but I agree completely with his defense of marriage and faith in his writings.

  • THANK YOU for saying Gore Vidal is an ass. And, btw, I disagree with all these literary critics interpretation of Brideshead.

  • Thanks for posting this. Wish it was on the DVD. I loved the book, I loved the series.
