  • I really wouldn't mind how he sounds nowadays, I would continue going to his concerts any chance I get. He is still the greatest singer for me. Love you, John....may you have more energy and good health.

  • If true perfection exists, then this is it. Exquisite!!!

  • notice that look he has at 4:30? it says, "yes, i did it. I just amazed you with that last note."

  • this is my unofficial theme.

  • What can you say but....Beautiful.

  • hard as it is- i have 3 favorite Johnny videos- and this is number one- always will be- shivers when you watch it- it's an 'experience' unto itself. Johnny brings his whole self to and 'into' a song- better than anyone else. what a joy. thanks again, Maria, this is more than quintessential JM.

  • What can one say after a performance like this? Top that anyone I say..Johnny Mahis is the greatest singer ever! Wow!!! Jane in Ohio

  • Me too vincecami. the best of his vocals. I play it over and over. I try to hold my breath with that last note but never make it. lol

  • Just beautiful........where are the singers these days?

  • Best video of Johnny Mathis I have ever seen

  • With out a doubt, the best vocal he's done and I've have all his albums

  • JM held it for 28 seconds. Try it. JC said "I thought you were going to hold it until the next earthquake".

Years later, JC stated that he thought that was the greatest vocal performance on his stage...of all time. Who can deny that??

  • @fhardyb That's some mad props that JC gave up to JM and rightly deserved.

  • 4:30 love that cute expression, this is one of his best songs, well, one of them, he can sing the alphabet and sound awesome...love ya Johnny.....:>)

  • @flower7109 Flower, I was at the LG Arena in Birmingham and what I witnessed that night was a living legend producing a wonderful wonderful performance.

  • This man could sing a laundry list and I'd listen. I've been a fan since he started. What a voice!

  • I was listening to him instead of the Beatles. Saw him live too. Also got his autograph in the 70"s at a news stand in Philadelphia. So talented and so humble.

  • @flower7109 Flower, I think you see 2 Johnnie's, the young one (43yrs old here) and the 76yr old...I can almost understand what you are saying...I still think he is the young Johnny in my mind, so when I see the old Johnny I can not relate to the 2 stages of his life....I guess I'm still looking for that most gorgeous man of years ago, but God bless him for the energy that he has, and his love of music, he truly loves his fans, he seems so sweet I still love him....still good looking too..

  • @flower7019. I saw Jm a few months ago and yes the band started sometimes as he ended a song. Let me get this straight you went to see a 73 yr old man sing and you thought his show and singing would sound the same as he did in his 20s 30s etc. That's silly and unrealistic. I for one am glad is still continues to tour. The quality of his voice is great. He takes great care if himself and I appreciate he longevity. As long as he keeps going I will keep coming to shows.

  • dude.. give the absolute legend a break. Thank God for the magnetic tape where we can witness this clip when he is at the top of his game. Today, he is over 70 years old... one's body cannot produce the oxygen at that age. In this clip he is 30+ years of age (a guy qualified for the olympics track team). I know he may not be what he used to be. A legend like JM, it's worth the price of admission just to shake his friggen hand! He's workin'. He's doin' what he has invested his heart in

  • well all you Johnny Mathis fans out there, I have just been to see this so called star at the LG arena Birmingham, and after waiting half a life time to see him I was very dissappointed, most of the show I was looking at his back, any notes he could not reach he was drowned out by the orchestera I had a good seat nothing wrong there, I think he should retire while he still has a good name. One very un happy fan,( not any more.)

  • There is a God in heaven people, this is who he sent for all the world to enjoy.. Wow..fantastic, one of a kind performance by Mr. JOHNNY MATHIS (my idol of all time)....Jane In Ohio

  • I saw this on the Johnny Carson Show when it aired in 1978.The word outstanding does not do it justice,My parents loved it, and when I hear it I think of them.Absolutely incredible performance!!!!!!

  • ajoaquim:meu comentario , 100 comentario.

  • There is only one gorgeous mouth God created, and Johnny has it. Crooked, sideways, it facinates me...OMGoodness....the sounds, the notes, the power, that come out of that man, is incredable.....

  • What was the interview like? Wasn't that his second song of the evening? What a magnificent performance.

  • I'd swear there's another JM version of this incredible song at the end of which Carson says something like "Well, I guess that takes care of THAT song!" referring, of course, to Mathis and that holding on "til anyone ELSE's toes would have caved in" final note. I bow before you... we're not worthy!

  • niamhorourke, FYI do have a Mac and .mp3 w/ iTunes... elpasowalker

  • greatest singer in the world God allways bless you.

  • Thanks for your answer "niamhorourke" -- I desperately would appreciate your help! Do I have an .mp3 player? I usually download from Amazon but never this...

    elpasowalker

  • A master class for anyone who thinks they can sing...........just beautiful!

  • On the album "Live In Las Vegas", the song is a little less dramatic. A lullaby, almost. I grew up with Johnny's music, as my dad was his pianist & conductor for about 25 years. I am thrilled that people are still listening and appreciating that VOICE. No technical adjusts necessary - the man SINGS.

  • 27-1/2 seconds.......there is a timer above,( like, add to, share), I'm amazed at the last note, that I had to keep counting and checking the time, he was like no other, and still going strong.God bless him, he is awesome..:>)

  • Well, I'm 54 years a Mathis fan with all his LP's.........The man is pure magic and that last note in this song is around 30 seconds long.......just beautiful.

  • Mercy, I can never watch/listen to this (Pieces of Dreams) only once...JM is a master with his voice, and this is a Masterpiece. How can we get an MP3 download on this for audio?

Someone help me on this! Joey Mecham in El Paso, TX

  • @elpasowalker Any luck with your .mp3 yet? I can help.

  • imagine a world with autotune.....it was a better place.

  • He even sings the intro "pieces of dreams" I would have liked to hear Sammy Davis do this one, Johnny said Sammy Davis was an incredible singer ,he was not intimidated at all by others but was gracious to them, what a singer ,what a great human being

  • I have loved Johnny for over 50 years....I love everything about him and his voice has always captivated me....He is a very gentle man and a gentleman...I saw him perform about 8 years ago and he sounded as magnificent as he did in the 50's when he started his career...God bless you for all of the years that you have shared your ever so talented voice...Thank you for the many memories !!!!!

  • Please someone tell me that JM recorded Pieces of Dreams and how I can get it. Thanks forevermore. Joey Mecham in El Paso

  • just blows me away every time I hear it, from beginning to end ,his voice is blessed by the Gods , only once in a blue moon does someone like him come along and I'am glad I am here to witness it

  • JOHNNY MATHIS! Wow! While I love Frank Sinatra, I reserve a special place in my mind and heart for the great Johnny Mathis!

All I needed was one view of tthis video to realize why! Here is why! Johnny has a voice that is ethereal (i.e. An incredible lovely artistic voice that is almost surreal). It is a voice of beauty and love, and unique! Bravo!

  • I remember hearing him come on the radio in the car ,and how I always knew it was him and how very different his voice was from the others (you know the ones I am talking about) there is an other world feeling to how he interprets a song ,Its like he came from another place and time ,He is the only voice coming from my ipod these days

  • Augh, that's so nice what you just wrote, it must have been amazing!

  • I was in L.A. for many years as a studio singer...worked with Johnny at Universal City Amphitheater.....it was a great time and concert....We also did a benefit concert for APLA......he's a great guy and an amazing singer....He is alot of the reason I wanted to be a singer......and ended up in L.A working with him.....a dream come true....

  • @mshiflett395 Very cool.

  • I had the honor to work with Johnny ....What a great experience it was....and Wow, what a voice.......

  • @msthesinger131 were did u work with him?

  • No one can be as good as Mathis..but the song is wonderful. I did what I could :)

  • Comment removed

  • I heard him say Thanks Johnny

  • 35777, I absolutely love your comment, He is intoxicating

  • wow he held that note for about 2 days , great , the best ever, what a treat ,like 35777 says he is freakin beautiful and then some

  • this is probably one of the best songs of all time...i thought Jack Jones had the best rendetion..until i saw this...i'm amazed..never thought Johnny M sang this song..im confused who is better..but im happy..:))...

  • Does anyone know what this song means.. whatever, he is freakin beautiful and a voice like no other. I would swoooooon if he sang "Mary had a Little Lamb....I love you Johnny

  • I remember back in the mid 50's sitting on my porch with a 45 record player and listening to Johnny over and over. I could sing everything he sang right along with him, Not as good as him but I memorized every word to his songs.I still can and my grandkids are amazed that I could still remember the words to this day. I can hear 2 or 3 notes and tell them what song it is. He is truly gifted and will be honored in the hall of fame as number 1 in singers along with Sinatra.

  • This song ALWAYS makes me cry, it is my absolute favourite one of Johnny's. The control he has on those long notes....WOW...... Been looking for this video clip for years and now I've found it I will more than likely wear it out. The best singer in the whole world for me is Johnny Mathis, I adore him and I LOVE his voice. <3

  • what does one say after this performance? best in the world..you go Johnny Mathis...luv it.

  • I have watched this at least 100 times and my knees are still weak..He get's me very emotional, my tears won't stop....Johnny I need a hug.....

  • He is the most gorgeous talented man in the universe. he makes my knees weak, look at those perfect lips....

  • Wow! This man is incredible.

  • Love me some Johnny!

  • INCREDIBLE!!!!!!

  • INCREDIBLE JOHNNY MATHIS!

Johnny has a voice that is a gift from God!

Truly beautiful! Many years ago, Mathis was my all time favorite flowed by Sinatra!

Now I think, thankfully I am again rediscovering the beauty that defines the singing of this great singer!!

  • What a voice. A true great.

  • He must have sung "Copacabana" earlier in this program.

  • So exactly WHO can sustain notes longer than Johnny Mathis..... quite a talent!

  • Unbelievable. Johnny Mathis will go down in musical history as one of the great ones. His vocal chords must have been blessed by God and dipped in gold. His range is fantastic. His voice is so beautiful there are no words to aptly describe it!!! Thank you so much for this wonderful post.

  • Absolutely FANTASTIC! I Love Johnny. As Beweau I`m totally breathless.

  • Og my God! This song is beautiful, and Johnny is fantastic. Each time I see and listen to this, I'm totally breathless. This voice? Well it is THE VOICE of our time.

Nobody can use the voice like Johnny. Leave me spechless for a long time. Berit

  • I love watching him prepare to sing that final note. You watch closely he fills up his right and left lungs then the diaphragm and it's beyond amazing to watch his skill at it's best. It's a sweet song. That was his "pop" in the audience. No matter how much time has gone by...he still to this day has a boyish innocence about him. Looking back speaking for myself there will always be a little one still trying to please the ones who love/ed us.We all had dreams...still do.Love you Johnny

  • Wow! I counted 29 seconds that Mathis held that last note. That is very hard to do live. You can tell that he knew he was going to do it when he opened his eyes half way through. A singer gets a feeling when things are going right.

    Bravo, Johnny!

  • I saw him in Cleveland on 4/1 and it is remarkable that he ,at 75, is wonderful in every way!

  • sorry, i love Johnny BUT i like BARBRA singing this Much Better !

  • Stunning quality of a voice! Johnny Mathis is simply put, The world's greatest singer ever!! The ending of this song is spectacular..Best performance ever! I am seeing him again in Cleveland, Oh on April 1, 2001.. Can't wait. Love you Johnny Mathis

  • I am blown away after hearing this incredible interpretation and can express myself only in superlatives. What a VOICE and TECHNIQUE. This is in one word: SPECTACULAR. Thanks for sharing this treasure.

  • No one can sing like Johnny! I have loved this man for over 35 years and have seen him in concert 34 times. If I could, I would follow him around the country and see every performance he does! This song brings tears to my eyes!

  • FANTASTIC!

  • Que prodigio de voz, que facilidad oyendolo nos inflama el alma, llevo tantos años escuchando sus canciones que no se si me pertenecen o yo les pertenezco, gracias.

  • to debbietraum, I'm jealous, that's a great story. Wish I'd been there. I have, however, seen Johnny perform this in person many times during the 1970s and it always blew me away! Performances as epic as this are rarely ever seen on television, let alone on a late night talk show, (even the Tonight Show) and really raise the bar! I remember the night this aired and, though it gets cut off here, the first thing that Carson says to Mathis is, "That's what you call killin' 'em.' He's so right!

  • @MikeFass

Maybe, but I remember JC saying "I thought you were going to hold that last note until the next earthquake." And, then, "That song stays sung!"

Later, JC described this performance as the greatest musical performance ever on his stage.

  • @fhardyb Ah, okay, I wonder which one accurately applies. Maybe all of them. I do remember JM's reply to "That's what you call killin' em", being, "That's just showing off", to which he laughed. As for your last quote, that's exactly what I have always thought about that performance. Carson is so right!

  • I love You Tube! Can't believe I just found this! On my (working) honeymoon, my new husband took me backstage of the Tonight Show (he had worked for the show when it was in NYC). I had always been made fun of for loving Johnny Mathis. This is an incredible performance, great sound quality...though nothing compared to being there. The last note took my breath away! Met him after the show, and LITERALLY couldn't speak! My husband simply said...."She usually talks more than this".

  • Johnny Mathis is one of my favourite singers of all time but although I have also heard the Shirley Bassey version of this wonderful song neither can compete with the melancholy simplicity of the truly great recording by Barbra Streisand which has huge emotional memories for me The song is in fact the title song from a film in which it was sung, presumably, over the credits by Peggy Lee The Streisand version is,in fact ,available on The Way We Were album

  • @ted2321 I don't disagree that BS's version is not well done but really, it's not in THIS category in any fashion. There's a reason why JM's version has over 84,000 hits and hers only 1750.

I love Streisand's voice; if she would just shut up between songs.....

  • @iana97: If you have tickets for February you are very lucky...I would love to see him...

I saw him some years ago now...when he had his album Brazil...but I saw him recently on TV and he's still good...now if you go expecting him as he was in his 20's you'll be disappointed...but he 70ish now....and still good....I saw Frank Sinatra in his late 70's and don't regret it a bit...he was wonderful...saw him twice...wouldn't have missed it for the world...so enjoy Johnny!!!

  • Just another brilliant performance. No Autotune necessary here. Johnny held that last note f-o-r-e-v-e-r. His voice and artistry never fail to move me. Simply

    phenomenal.

  • I wish there was a way to download some of these songs from here to my iphone. The arrangements are almost impossible to come across anywhere else.

  • 19 rebel57 you have such a great collection of mathis songs from the Tonight Show, do you sell them on DVD?

  • @jcc173 Yes, wouldn't that be just the greatest thing? So please Maria, this would be a best-selling buisness!

I know that I'd bought them all! Berit.

  • Forgot how real music was played on late-night talk shows.....great stuff by a world class singer and band.........

  • This marvelous interpretation of one of my favorite songs is insuperable, absolutely

    beautiful.

  • GOD BLESS YOU JOHNNY YOU ARE THE GREATEST SINGER ALIVE ,WHENEVER I HEAR YOU SINGING YOU'RE DOIN'IT BETTER.

  • @elpincherobe Here Here to that listen to his "Someone" 1958 and "My love For You" from about the same time, the best.

  • @elpincherobe Here Here to that, listen to his "Someone" 1958 and "My Love For You" from about the same time, the best.

  • When I listen to this man I go to another place....everything he sings is magic...pure magic. I was lucky enough to see him in concert and he's superb.

  • @bluegardenia29 Did you see him recently. I have 4th row tickets to see him in Feb in Jacksonville but have some doubts as to whether he can still "do it." What do you think? when did you see him?

  • @iana97 I saw him 2 years and let me assure you he can still do it.

  • @8papillons I saw him for the 8th time a couple of years ago. He stills sings as beautifully as ever but his voice is not as strong. Goodness, the man is 75 years old! He doesn't have the range so he selects his music carefully. But it really doesn't make any difference. He's still Johnny Mathis and that's all you need to know. There will never be an equal.

    Never.

  • Saw this when he preformed this, the clip ends but Carson states"there is nothing left of that song".I also heard Mathis sign it live and have searched for ever to hear it again. He sadly never recorded it.

  • @aussieshep10 actually it appears he did record it if you go to TimeLife Music and search for Johnny Mathis: 30 Favourites...Pieces of Dreams is on that. Good Luck

  • What a musical instrument ... that voice!

  • Absolutely fabulous but the man could sing the phone book and it would sound wonderfu

  • His voice always makes me think of silk and chocolate.

  • @baccatoddy

Sweet way to put it! I always seem to make velvet, cream and liquid analogies on here in conjunction with his voice.

  • i don't know if i've posted this before, but, i saw this show and johnny's rendition of this song left an indellible impression on my life. i'd searched for this song for years and i'm so very thankful that you posted it.

  • Just saw Johnny in Branson this past Friday night, Nov. 12th. What a performance, strong voice the entire 2 hours and many Christmas songs. Just wish he could have sung this song, which I heard in 1978 on the Carson show. I asked the lady at the lobby CD table what the name of the song was that Johnny held the 30 second note on the last word.... The said Little Boy Blue. Been waiting years to hear that song again. Now have listened to it at least 20 times since last night.. The BEST ever!!!

  • Absolutely fantastic! This music and the performance of this perfect singer. May God bless Johnny forever.

  • I've download this video and watch it at least twice a day. Just an unbelievable performance. Watch his little eyebrow shift at the end; he knew he had nailed it.

  • @catinhotlanta

    you're so right!

and check out the way he strutted off-stage too!

he knew, indeed, that he'd nailed it.

    and, he wasn't alone!

  • Wow!! The 70's!! Johnny Carson. Johnny Mathis. Michel Legrand. What a great song. And what a great performance by Mathis. And what a great band. The song has been covered by many. Here's my ranking, for what it's worth:

    1st. Sarah Vaughan.

    2nd. Johnny Mathis

    3rd. Shirley Bassey

    4th. Barbara Streisand

But this video of Mathis on the Tonight Show brings back more memories than anyone should ever have to bear. Wonderful!

  • Simply the greatest singer in the world.. No one else could and will ever sing like my idol, Johnny Mathis . This song is a perfect example of perfection. It brings tears to my eyes. May GOD bless JOHNNY MATHIS. The world needs more Johnny Mathis songs played.. I've got my ticket to see him in Cleveland, Ohio again in 2011. What a wonderful, wonderful talent and man.

  • I have been a Johnny Mathis fan for 30 years. IMO, he is one of the best singers ever!

  • Are you kidding me. He is the best singer of all times hands down.

  • I think this tune is one that really shows the God give talent this man has been gifted with. Just a bone chilling performance by the best male voice on this earth

  • The BEST! Love Johnny!!!!!

  • Handsome,Gorgeous & Such a Beautiful Talent--

All I can say is OMG!!!

  • Such an amazing artist live, a special generous soul.

    Many thanks :-D

  • A truly phenomenal performance.

  • The only version I've ever heard that even remotely comes close to Barbra's; although I still prefer her more subdued and poignant version.

  • @mikesterSTLMO This is a special arrangement for JM and is different from the original recording he has on the album, Close to You, which is close to Streisand's version. The intent here was to showcase his strengths - phraseology, breath control, interpretation - that only Mathis can do and do so better than anyone else.

Are you aware that of all the recording artists out there, now and in the past, Mathis is Sreisand's idol?

  • @catinhotlanta Yeah Barbra has said she was a fan of JM, but I don't believe she ever said he was her "idol". She has been quoted as being a Garland fan and a real big fan of someone named Johhny Rivers. Personally I believe like Judy Garland, JM idolizes Streisand.

  • Single greatest performance of any singer, period. Just utterly fantastic. I watch this at least once a day. Carson said this was the single greatest performance ever on The Tonight Show.

    What an understatement.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, blows the mind.

  • So great! Love me some Johnny. Handsome too:)

  • omg. he is my hero. amazing voice, control and interpretation. I love Johnny Mathis.

  • he is my hero. omg...his voice is just chilling and beautiful.

  • Mr Carson's smile says it all.

  • pls help me to understand meaning of this beautiful song. A JM fan for 50 years. loved him since i was 12yrs old.

  • Arrangement by Jesus Christ.

  • am I wrong when I counted that last note was 29 seconds

  • FABULOUS.....A wonderful singer singing another beautiful song from the superb song writer... Michel Legrand. Thanks for posting this little gem

  • @maureen1938 Can you help me understand the meaning behind the words of this awesome song? a fan for 50 years.

  • no one, nowhere......anyone could top him.......what a voice...Johnny Carlson always had him on the shows....he appreciated his great talent.......we saw him two months ago and he is still the best.........10 standing ovations looks great ......thanks for this posting.........love the man.......for fifty years have followed him.....to the ends of the earth..........

  • This is what I call absolutely EXTRAORDINARY!!

  • JM can sing anything but outdoes himself with one.

  • Finally, the word awesome applies. I would love to hear the interview afterwards. Thanks for posting.

  • Johnny is and always will be the best! Jst listen to this song and you'll agree. Simply wonderful. Thanks for sharing this with the world.

  • so thats how its done!!!! that just blew my bloody undies off-awsome voice

  • The greatest live performance EVER

  • Outstanding, Johnny Mathis, one of the very best, Incredible talent.

  • What a fantastic singer! Thank you Youtube for making beautiful songs/singers like this one known all over the world! Thank you poster too ;-)

    Cheers from France

  • I see questions regarding 'what movie was this song from?' Don't recall seeing an answer.....The Way We Were.....Barbra did a wonderful job but it's not comparable to Johnny's.....lsd

  • Great song, Great singer.

  • I LOVE HIM!

THIS IS ONE OF THE TOP BALLAD SINGERS EVER!!!!!

    MATHIAS AND VANDROSS!!!!

  • song was from the 1970 album "Close To You"

  • I have been a Johnny Mathis fan for many years and remember when he sang this on the Tonight Show, it was magical. He is a fantastic singer, there are not to many in his league.

  • Looking for the the greatest voice. It's hard to bring you back to this performance...What a gift...Singing and acting doesn't get better than this....Give this one to your children.......

  • It still makes a grown man cry.

  • Johnny is my favorite male singer. A true gift from the heavens!

  • TWO AMAZING BALLAD SINGERS IN THE 1970's

WHO CAN MAKE YOU FEEL A BALLAD IN THERE OWN WAYS- JM & MJ.."Happy"

"someone in the dark" "one day in your life" "ben" "Maria"(JM)must hear!so many good artist from the 1970's ...what happened?..."snoop dog", "beyonce" ????? we got robbed!Lol!

  • This is truely beautiful! I've been a fan forever. One in a million! Thanks for

posting it! Did you know Mr. Mathis is coming out with an album of classic

country love songs sometime this year? One is "Let it be me". Can't wait to hear it!

  • It looks like there are 2 people who shouldn't even bother to be here if they must do a thumbs down on anything JM sings. Why do they even come to his videos? I do think Johnny didn't expect the orchestra to try to drown him out or upstage him in the middle of the song; you can tell by his face and the way he came back on singing over them. JM is the only singer that doesn't need an orchestra or any backing at all. Thank you again, 19rebel57.

  • Thank you for having the whole song to share with us, 19rebel57; where on earth did you get so many great videos of JM? Were you a cameraman/woman for all the shows he did for Carson and Mike Douglas? I thank you for sharing so many of them. It is so special to watch a singer like JM while he is singing...what did I just say "like? JM?" sorry, there just isn't another 'like JM'; he is the greatest. Where do I get a green hand to give him all 10 fingers?

  • Extraordinary..I'd like to see the rest of this interview...

  • I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED JOHNNY'S SINGING; HE IS, I THINK, 2 YR OLDER THAN ME....SO I HAVE LOVEDDDD HIM FOR A LLLLONG TIME, LOL. NO ONE MATCHES HIM OR EVEN COMES CLOSE. EVERY SONG IS SPECTACULAR. I NEVER SAW HIM SING UNTIL YOUTUBE AND I THANK YOU 19rebel57 FOR SUCH SUPER CLOSEUP VIDEOS OF HIM SINGING.

HAS ANYONE SEEN HIS VIDEO WITH THE LENNON SISTERS IN JAPAN SINGING 'POOR JOHNNY ONE NOTE'? HE HOLDS THAT ONE NOTE FOR AROUND 1 MIN 45 SEC WHILE THEY SING THE SONG. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE.

  • What an incredible voice !!!!!!!!

  • Unbelievable!!! he is so amazing. I wonder if Michel wrote this with Johnny in mind.

  • I remember seeing this show and I'll never forget Johnny Carson's expression. Carson loved Johnny's voice and choice of songs. It was a great time and it was e special seeing Johnny on Carson's show. Mathis you're the greatest!

  • Years ago, he was on an interview show and a well known opera star was also on-she said that she had a six octave voice-the interviewer then asked Mathis how many octaves his voice was- he said he didn't know-- of course he did-his is an Eight octave voice!! He just wouldn't say it out of deference to her. He is an incredibly talented and humble man- thats why he is so loved, I sure luv him.

  • Damn! He held that last note for 28 freaking seconds!

  • Pieces of Dream...what a classic......he makes singing seem so effortless!.What a singer...pure tones.......ever steady as he goes....always a Hit everything he does. Johnny Carlson had him on so many times......he loved the singer, most of the old night show did..Merve Griffin, Johnny Carlson,

  • Jesus Christ! Is this guy for real?

He must have been specially designed by GOD.

I had forgotten how dynamic this musical piece was.

He is still singing strong at 75.

  • I found this song as what happend in my life. it's really touch me..searching pieces of my dream. i took my bag, leaving home, travel alot, far n far, falling and stand up, n still tip on my mind that oneday i will find it.. but i know there will time when i say " it's time to back home" :) ...*tears*...
