of course it's Greek!!! the original is actually a folk greek song...Initially, the song was composed as a Greek zeibekiko dance, in the rebetiko style of music, at a slower tempo and a different key than the orientalized performances that most are familiar with today... and when we re talking about rebetiko we mean the absolute Greek folk music, really traditional and really harsh!!!!!

Do a search for 'The Mystery of Misirlou'...it's a very interesting article about the history of this song.

Very good job, but you should learn to work with the hammer-ons and pull-offs instead of strumming so much on the ones where hammer-ons and pull-offs are achievable. If you don't go with those in the few blessed spots where you're not strumming like a maniac for the series of continuous notes it will really kill your hand. Good job, though!
