  • Theres a difference between a celebrity and a "youtube celebrity" celebrity means all the things you said, and "youtube celebrity" means the person has a video with alot of views, like a few million. Nice video though

  • Good point = )

  • Hey if y'all want to see a dirrrty song about Fred and other male YouTubers, then click my page!! OH!!

  • this is my fave vid by you

  • Really? Thanks = )

  • Haha my friend act lik we are youtube celebrities, we will be one day!

I put your video on MYspace!

  • Awesome thanks.

  • You're welcome, Hey we're making a mocumentary on me and my friend being youtube celebrities, and I'd like to know if we can have your permission to put this in it, and if you would like to collab in it.

  • Yes, you have my permission. I'm very busy and probably don't have time to collab right now but thanks for thinking of me regardless.

  • Yay! Thank you!

K, well the collab part is more like, umm, well idk.

  • its not entirely the youtubers fault, the real issue is the people who follow these youtubers. they follow so much, they become infatuated by them. everyone has an ego trip when they gain popularity. dont even trip. they may be a somebody on the web, but they aint shit out in the real world. in the real world theyre just people who sit in front of a computer all day.

  • I agree with your point.

  • No... there are definantly youtube celebs... TAY ZONDAY? makin music videos for ads... GARY BROSLMA, just the best ever...

  • I wouldn't consider them celebrities.

  • smosh, daxflame, lisanova, and tay zonday are celebrities. is it because they went to youtube live and you didn't?

  • I did go yo YouTube Live.

  • That's what I think! nit even that nalts guy is a celeb, but his dillusion causes him to think this!

  • Nalts is a delusional a-hole.

  • Fred is almost a Celeb he is already getting on tv... it makes me sick

  • Yeah me too.

  • i dont see whats great in fred but collage humor is really good they will be celebraties on mtv and i think livelavalive is an almost celeb type in mitchell smace d and hell be the second suggestion on youtube and google

  • Cool.

  • True, thank you for this video!

  • Sure!

  • i can't wait to be a youtube celebrity! LOL let them pound down my door!

  • Sometimes they do.

  • no I do not ... I receive your comments in my mail ... then I come back to answer.

I don t watch the video actually ... I only give the comment to the 3 videos of yours that I did watch :O)

  • your videos are actually so boring ... I was trying to understand what kind of a weird person u are ... but I m falling asleep... your monologue are so empty .. you talk a lot about nothing LoL

    blah blah blah

  • zzzzzz i fell a sleep aswell zzzzzzzz

  • Yet you keep coming back to watch Paul Seveng.

  • @goldenstarlight go fuck fred

  • Chris Crocker or what ever his/her name is a youtube celeb!!!

  • I wouldn't call him a celebrity.

  • Billy Joel and MCR have youtube channels does that count? just wondering...

    P.S.

    Love your videos

  • Yeah I guess that counts. I didn't know that Billy had a YouTube channel. Thanks for the nice words = )

  • Gimmeabreakman is one!!!!!

  • Gimmeabreakman has 1000's of fake subscribers. That's why I get more views than he does. He's a loser.

  • LOL thanks for the video idea

  • Let me know when you make it = )

  • what are fake subscribers lol? but really what do u mean?

  • that is too funny...I know of someone who thinks that way about their youtube accounts

  • Funny.

  • National Enquirer? WTF

  • It's a gossip magazine.

  • what person with a youtube channel.....what youtube channel? were can this person be found?

you lie! that tourist was your coworker! you staged the hole thing! lol prove it otherwise!! i noticed in that video of YOURS...you never say the persons youtube channel..why? why is it on your channel and not theirs? just wondering! you are not fooling anyone! catch you later hollywood!!

  • A celebrity is a famous or well-known person. A well known person. People can become well known on YouTube which makes them a YouTube celebrity.

  • MAybe a "YouTube" celebrity but not a general celebrity.

  • people on YouTube don't claim to be celebrities. They are only popular on YouTube which makes them a YouTube celebrity. There is a difference, what else are you supposed to call them

  • No one on YouTube is a celebrity.

  • It's called a YOUTUBE CELEBRITY! NOT a Celebrity. Are you dumb?

  • Your comment makes no sense.

  • penn is a celebrity and hes on youtube.

  • I wouldn't consider Penn a celebrity.

  • So true, So true. However I do quite like Blog TV as it shows the youtubers real soft side. Awesome video!

  • Thanks = )

  • I agree completely.

Did you hear Chris Crocker is getting a record deal? That's pathetic.

  • No, I didn't hear that. I doubt that he will sell more than 50 copies = )

  • I bet they're all Britney Spears covers or tributes. XD

  • That wouldn't surprise me.

  • Lol or Cris crockers album will be him singing britney songs xD

  • He's pathetic.

  • ALL WE NEED IS LOVE!ADMIRATION! RECOGNITION!

lol....yeah, i follow you, just kidding a bit.

  • I don´t know why the papparazzi haven´t chased me yet, though...

    (smirk)

    EGO! YES!

  • I'm sure they will soon = )

  • Question for those who think that some of these youtube people are celebrities:

Do any of these youtube people have dolls of themselves sitting on store shelfs?

I don't think we'll be seeing a Chris Crocker doll anytime soon. But if we do, I am sure the doll will come with some sort of anal accessories. :-)

  • You'll get your mug on a barbecue sauce bottle before Crocker ever becomes a doll = )

  • walrusguy is a celebrity... and a studmuffin.

  • If you say so.

  • I'm adding this to my channel :D

  • That's nice of you, thanks = )

  • Oh, I always pronounced Seveng like as Sevenge (revenge ... sevenge)

I also think that these people like as renetto here aren't really celebrities ... tell someone about Paperlilies at the street and no one knows who it is ... YouTube-Users are knowing them but that's it.

Well, maybe this Chris Crocker guy you can call a celebrity now ;o)

  • Chris Crocker isn't a celebrity. I've never seen him in gossip magazines = )

  • I've seen him on a trailer for a movie here and they mentioned "Chris Crocker from YouTube" ... at least much more worldwide attention than a renetto is getting ;o)

  • Renetto isn't even in the top 100 anymore. Poor guy = )

  • Yeah, I remember he also mentioned it once and he sounded so pissed to be no more at the top. By the quality of his videos it is simply to say that he has changed to a dramatube rider and that's not really what the people like. It's bringing attention but if you do the drama too often then it is getting boring.

  • hehe I love ur vids and I completly agree.. but chris was on the mags ONLY once when he did his britney video.. he's not a celeb i agree completly :D

  • He's far from being a celebrity.

  • I know a couple of people with those EGOs You're talking about.

  • I know at least 20 = )

  • LOL! Get over it! are you french? I like your video. I don't want to be a celebrity, but I want to be able to sing and if that makes me become a celebrity someday then i guess it's ok. youtube has been great for being heard. I like that. And, there are some really funny and talented people here!! I'm not sure what a partner is but i just want to sing.

    :) Noellia

  • You're a great singer and no, I'm not French but I lived in Paris off and on for 3 years = )

  • I agree with you that there are delusional people on YT who feel they are celebs. I noticed some who are "super" Partners and I don't get it. I don't even watch most of these Partners. Even though I am a Partner, I don't feel any different. I like making vids, and I have my favorite subscriptions too and many are not even Partners. I just feel they are interesting or funny. Many people forget why we originally came here and that was to have a good time and now it's competitive and dramatic.

  • Yes, many are delusional about their celebritism. It's kind of funny. Just like you, I rarely watch any of the "bigger" YouTubers.

  • Oh shoot! I really wanted to be a YouTube celeb! Really!!!! I liked this video. I get all tickled with these people too. But I do know that a few celebs have come form YouTube and other net sites. Andy Milonakis is one. Okay, never mind....paparazzi has never chased him around. He did get pretty close anyway. He had his own show on MTV. Fred isn't doing too bad these days either. But me? I will never even get close...ah shucks!

  • Anyone can come close to being a celebrity on YouTube, including you = )

  • I was just kidding about being a celeb...I never want to have to live in a spotlight! NOT EVER!! I feel sorry enough for those that do. I enjoy being an unknown nobody, living a normal life . The spotlight tends to cast a pretty big shadow on others around you...I'd rather walk in the shadow than be the one to cast it. But thanks for the uplifting words!!!! Your too kind to me!

  • I try to be kind to everyone = )

  • him i like what you say... i agree youtube is a steping stone but i would never want to be a celebrity as you described (papratzy) that would just be too anoying... but i got a question, if you were asked to even do a short thing on blog tv would you accept? like maybe 5-10 minutes?

  • Probably not = )

  • Youtube definitely does not make people celebrities.

BUT some people on youtube step it up to bigger things.

Like that guy Kyle Sullivan, he became a regular on a TV show. and his character from his videos, Kelly, even "guest starred"

I believe the show was called "I Hate My 30's"

Not a show I really enjoyed, but hey, he made it on television.

  • YouTube can be a stepping stone to other media work for some people, true.

  • I wouldnt say your "not" a celebrity, you most certainly are very well known...and unlike most youtube ""celebrites" I actually enjoy watching your videos and im sure many thousands of others do...You make a [good] impact on us all if nothing else.

  • Thank you, keep watching = )

  • well you are not a celebrity but you are actually known by many people, that puts you on the spotlight just like a radio host or a Writer or a comic... you are actually have done something by your natural talent with no effort and that is very unique..

  • That's a nice thing to say, thank you = )

  • One day you will be = )

  • What the buck?

  • Yes.

  • Nicely put... and I love your directness and honesty.

I guess there are levels to being a "celebrity" since a celebrity, by definition, is really just a famous person. If someone is well known in the "youtube community," I suppose they could call themselves a "youtube celebrity." But, really, the people that care about that have my sympathy.

As to Hollywood style celebrity-ness, people should be careful what they wish for... :-)

  • Haha yeah. Hollywood celebrities get so much attention that it becomes hard for them to day-to-day simple tasks.

Anyways, I think the top-5 subscribed are celebrities though. They get recognized wherever they go and they have a huge number of fans. One of them is even getting a movie.

    -killcure

  • I see your point! There are definitely many levels of celebritism. At the top of that list would be the Hollywood celebrities with YouTube celebrities being somewhere near the bottom. Some YouTuber's think that they are more famous than the Hollywood celebrities. That's more or less what the video was about. I too wouldn't want to be a Hollywood celebrity = )

  • do you have to get paid for being a celebrity? it's really odd when this happens ... just only hoping people understand when they see my latest video!

    kx

  • Yes, real celebrities usually get paid.

  • funny stuff man keep it up

  • I'll try thanks = )

  • Yay!

  • You're very funny Lou.

  • VERY WELL SAID!!!

  • Thanks = )

  • fame is a relative term don't you think?

You're a celebrity compared to...well, me for instance!!

  • I guess you're right. If two people watch your videos on a daily basis then you are a "celebrity" to them.

  • actually there are a few people who have been on the news & in newspapers & magazines. Sxephil was on tv talking about viacom, amy04,pursebuzz,& another girl who does make-up were in the ny times (which I have somewhere) & amy04 was also in glamour magazine as well. But like you said it doesn't necessarily make them famous.

  • oh I forgot I think that purse buzz was also in glamour too. actually com to think about it,the other girl was too.

  • I did not know that = )

  • yeah I mean I wasn't trying to prove you wrong or anything I just thought I'd let you know lol :D

  • Haha...LOL.Some people really believe it:):) I had to laugh when you've mentioned T-shirts...I've seen it (didn't buy)...

    You have a great evening:)

    Alena (Dennise's mom)

  • That's the funny part, that they actually believe that they are in fact "celebrities". Thanks for commenting Alena = )

  • Yargle

  • You've said that before = )

  • sure you are, obama is a youtube celeb.

  • You're the closest thing to a celebrity on YouTube Tim = )

  • you are right bro

i like you tube for learning, relaxing

and to share wisdom with fellow human beings

  • Exactly = )

  • I get the same laugh as you do! I know as an experienced actor that you are, you've met your share of celebrities. I do feel that this is a practice for the big stage if you think about it, if those are someone's ambitions. You have haters, critics, an audience, applause, etc. It's quite a practice in real interaction. When it gets to the level of a Chris Crocker, it must be a nightmare to deal with emails and offers, etc. This is still a good place for promotion, but it's saturated. Great vid!

  • Yes, YouTube is indeed a great place as far as promoting your talents. Some people on YouTube however act as if they are already "big celebrities" which is nonsense = )

  • Yargle

  • Hummm! OK! = )

  • Hello :)I dont even know what blogtv is etc...but I do like a lot of what you say here - in terms of ego and about the friends etc we can make on here. Anything that encourages some humility is a good thing in my book. Nice to meet you :)

    Sunbeam :)

  • Nice to meet you as well = )

  • i bet you get alot of cyber sex though paul? thats something to be proud of

  • No cyber sex for me.

  • Thank you for not going to blogtv. I swear, it is the most boring thing and I never even went there. Just the idea is boring.

  • You should check it out just out of curiosity like I did. Just don't fall asleep = )

  • Well Some people are actually celebrities on youtube that weren't when they started "Tayzonday" For example...Chriscrocker to He was in a Movie...well his"Leave brittany alone" video was shown in "meet the spartans". I Agree with you though,Just because You make videos On the Internet dosen't mean your a big deal. I make Videos Because I like To entertaine people and make them laugh. Also I Use youtube to improve my...Speach I Guess You could say.anyways Running out of space now lol

  • I hear you. Thanks for commenting = )

  • Nice to hear from you again. Your granny is a wise woman. I was going to change the icon but many people like it so I think I'll keep it for awhile = )

  • I've always thought that youtube celebrities meant that they were famous on youtube. I never thought youtube celebrities should be included in list of actors, actress, and musicians. Youtube celebrities have viewers and commenters instead of fans and paparazzi.

  • I see your point = )

  • Great job!

    TEAMWHITTINGTON

  • Thanks = )

  • Excellent, really excellent!

    Gaby

  • Thank you = )

  • Amen to that.

... Though I'm afraid you may have just put in some peoples' heads to form a "YouTube paparazzi", haha. ... Oh, God let's hope I'm wrong about that.

    In other news, sleek shades. [;

  • It is possible that one day there will be a magazine in supermarkets gossiping about YouTube "celebrities". But that day is far away = )

  • I chuckled about the paparazzi statement. Very true video :)

I've been on Fox News in LA for a video response, but I feel no different then I did before the news of being on it lol.

  • You were on Fox News? You must be a celebrity = )

  • Good video. I'm not a celebrity but I'd like to be "youtubamous" - a famous youtubber. LOL!

  • Being a "celebrity" and being "YouTube famous" are two different things. Good luck = )

  • Well, youtube celebrities arent the same as the movie industry but when you consider that some youtubers get millions of hits;that holds celebrity status. There are programs on mainstream TV that dont have that type of audience. Is a person well known? Walk up to any person 15 and up and mention names of popular Youtubers. You might be surprised how well known they are. ~Raven

  • I'll have to try that one day = )

  • Hear you loud and clear! There truly are some youtubers that are celebrities in their own minds! Way too much ego in this world! You are a cool kat!

    Brandi Lynn Borgia

    PS-thanks for the friend invite!

  • Thanks for the nice comment and for accepting my friend invite = )

  • I totally agree, Paul.

    But as the title says,

    there are YouTube celebreties!

    But just on YouTube.

    Cyber space super stars.

Did anybody ever stopped you someplace

in the streets to ask you an autograph?

  • Not yet = )

  • Lol, great video! You can tell when the people only make videos for the popularity when they start acting all high and mighty.

But we only use the term youtube 'celebrity' to define their popularity. It's not really taken seriously. :)

  • Most people don't take them seriously. I have unsubscribed to those people who have gotten big heads = )

  • Hm, I offer these t-shirts on my channel that have "I got a comment from xmaldoror" printed right over the left kidney (if worn correctly).

You are now entitled to buy one.

  • Let me sleep on it = )

  • Enjoy YT! Screw celebrity...

  • Exactly = )

  • You hit the nail on the head dude. People like Boh3m3, Smosh, Brookers, WhattheBuck, and LisaNova are foolish if they think they are in fact celebrities. Are the uploaders of videos like The Piano Playing Cat, Two Talking Cats, the continuing LonelyGirl15 series, or the dude who took a picture of himself everyday for 5 years celebrities? Of course not.

  • They are only celebrities in their own heads and to a few hundred bored teens who follow them around = )

  • wow.....i really dont know what to say about this vid lol! I do know one thing though BLOG TV SUCKS!!

  • Yes, it does suck = )

  • Fine so your not a celebrity. Will you sign my breast anyway?

  • I'll have to pass on that = )

  • Nice man.

  • Thanks = )

  • It would be nice to think that one should have to actually accomplish something to become a bonifide "celebrity", but in this "Paris Hilton" era it seems one only need be in the public eye and popular in popular culture to gain such a title. You are well on your way Buddy. I think it time Andy Rooney step down anyways.... LOL!

  • I don't want to be a celebrity, I just do this as a hobby = )

  • Everything is relative, and outside of YT of course they are not celebrities. Even in the outside world I'd question the label celebrity when applied to winners of TV talent shows or Big Brother who have their 15 mins of fame and are then forgotten. Celebrity status is something that is earned over a number of years. But things are changing. Many people are turning away from TV and to entertainment on the internet. And channels like YT are an important part of this media revolution. (continued)

  • (continued). There are many very talented people on YT who I think deserve to be celebrities, but probably never will be. Equally there are some YTers who have gained fame for....well not very much at all. But I don't begrudge anyone enjoying achieving a certain amount of fame on YT. Many have worked hard for it (and deserve it). Nobody is forcing anybody to watch them on YT or Blog TV. YT is a big place and we make our own choices. YT is about entertainment and fun, so enjoy it.

  • You're very intelligent = )

  • Well-said, Paul! So does this mean that IF & WHEN I ever meet you at a youtube gathering, you WOn'T be offended if I DON'T ask for your autograph?! LOL! THAT would be ANOTHER sign of celebrity--at all YT gatherings I have attended THUS FAR, no one has approached ANOTHER Youtuber asking for the autograph!!
