The ps3 is stronger. It has cell broadband CPU which has 8 cores. However multiplatform games aren't usually programmer for cell so 360 looks better. But look at uncharted 2. Spec wise, the ps3 is a monster.

Yup. The PS3 would be better because xbox360's online makes you pay monthly. Most asian parents would want to pay once and not always have to constantly pay for online capabilities. as usual the game was made on 360 first then ported to the ps3 thats why the color on ps3 is washed out by the way the person forgot to change the ps3 rgb to full because its set on limited thats whats giving the ps3 colour washed out by the way i prefer the 360 console

devil may cry 4 was not developed on the 360 first, it began development as a ps3 exclusive, being developed on the ps3 hardware. when they announced it would go multiplatform they ported it to the 360. porting to the 360 from the ps3 is much easier then porting from the 360 to the ps3, thats why if you look, there is no graphical difference. most games that are ported to the 360 from ps3 are the same, the other way around, 360 is superior, why? i dont know.

The only difference I see is the PS3 has a slight blur effect on anything that isn't the focal point, giving the illusion of like focusing a camera to a certain range, whereas the 360 version just renders everything with an equal clearness. That's all I could make out from this youtube stream, but neither is necessarily amazingly better than the other from the looks of it. Just get it for whichever system you have already.

These developers where quite challenged, because the Cell Processor the PS3 has is VERY difficult to program in order to obtain the best possible graphics. And its true that Madden looks better on the 360 version. But when you look at exclusive PS3 games like GT5 and Metal Gear Solid 4, which is developed by teams focused only in "unlocking" the Cell porcessor's true potential. Just compare GT5 with Forza 2... You'll understand

I'm sorry but this isn't entirely accurate. It's true that the Cell has been a challenge for developers, but it's not like they haven't had experience with the system. Games like GT5 and MGS4 are possible on the 360.

When comparing two games like Forza and GT5, you have to look at them from MANY angles and not just the surface. Damage modeling consumes a lot of CPU cycles, not to mention the physics and other things to consider. Both look great, but both differ based on their renderer.

GT5 has been being worked on for ages and is far newer than forza. also i recall ps3 RSX GPU being able to do 1.1billion vertices per sec and 360 Xenos GPU being able to do 6.0billion vertices. as for CPU it hardly does a hoot for graphics. Some developers have said that programming was difficult. Some have said that it was easy. It is easy now because Sony has shipped a lot of DevKits.
