Great video but I have some questions about your 16 levels bassline technique. Where do you get your bass tones from...do you find them in the sampled track or to you use other sources. Do you have the bass pad set to Note On or One Shot? Is the program mono or poly. Am guessing that you set the pads to One Shot with the program to mono. Please confirm.

set your bass sound to note-off. you get the bass sound from different sources. you can get a good bass note by touching the ends of some rca cables to get that ground noise. sample then filter it. just tune it up with your samples. that's the ghetto way. or you can just sample some syths like a minimoog and filter. the key is to filter. experiment with different sounds to get the sound you want. just make sure to put your bass into 16 levels/ note variation to spread that note to all the pads.

Yo that trick with the rca's is so ghetto but I just tried it and it sounds really PHAT! great idea! I just touch the end of the L channel rca with my thumb and I get a fat buzz.

you have to filter the bass in the paramaters screen first. shift 6, drum 1 then paramaters. highlight frequency and mess around with the filters. then when you get the sound you like, go to the main screen, hit 16 levels, hit the pad you want to map out, highlight "velocity" and switch it to "note variation" the higher the number the lower the octave. peace.
