  • Awww Skippie you looked so cute here laying on your back. Now I see where Angel gets his playfulness from. Great video Buddy!!

  • lovely

  • lol what a cutey

  • Skippie is very cute & fun!

I just got my first Pineapple GCC as a pal for my adopted White-Winged 'keet.

Check out their video on my channel!

    Dan

  • @KutWrite Yes he is very animated..

  • What a DOLL!

  • That he is.

    Thx. :)

  • cool bird!

  • Sometimes liquid, Sometimes it's firmer,

depends on what you feed them, However

they can be Paper trained SKippie doesn't poop on us, but Ruby does, Skippie poops on command..lol and they don't poop IN thier cage..

  • is Green cheek conure poop messy, like liquid or like a cockatiels?

  • Which one of the birds or quite and more playful the Sun or Green Cheeked Conure.

  • Well the easy way to put this is "the bigger the bird the louder and messier poops" Sun conures I've heard scream. not good!! Green cheek, cinnimon, pineaple (very pretty) yellow sided, are mixed from the same spicies,( like poodles,) these are known as apartment birds, because they are quiet, very smart, like a puppy or 2 year old..and need lots of attention. They are with us from 7am til 10pm everyday..car rides and all.

    Hope this helped,

  • I have a green cheek, his name is buddy. He is funny and very spoiled. I give him zupreem ones for conures and he doesnt eat the purple or orange... is this normal....

  • They don't like zupreem too much, they only like the yellow ones..lol fussy and messy eaters.. they are on a seed diet as well as pasta and rice, fruits and veggies..

    and Millet.

I was hoping you had a video of Buddy..If you post 1 send it to me.thx.

Arent' they the best pet EVER!!

I only had Skippie 2 weeks with this vid..

He's not even full grown here.

  • amazing green cheek! i have a new one about 14 weeks old he wasnt hand tamed or anything and after 3 weeks already likes head scrathes and allows me to stroke and pick him up lol i only get the occasional nip now and then ! haha

  • thank you,

He is very spoiled, they will become VERY attached to you..

Have fun with your new baby..

send me a video if you post it..

    Thx

  • thankyou i will do =D

  • You have to figgure out WHY, and read Body Language, feathers out, head down. I'm sorry you are not off to a better start. Is it a bite, nip, chomp, taste. they have all these types of bites. You can email me and we can try to figgure this out..If you got him from petsmart you can take him back..or maybe the owner got rid of him for that reason..I can caution you, don't get on his bad side. they have a very good memory..

Please let me know I'll try to help you..

  • I just got my conure 3 days ago and he is biting me a lot. Any tips on how to get him to stop?

  • how old is the conure?..a lot of conures aren't raised being hand fed and handled and that starts off to a problem, u have to gain your conures trust in simple ways as hand feeding it treats or teaching it the step up/down command. If it's a more mature bird then it might just be going through a hermonal state, i forgot wut it's called but it's when there hermones kick in and they start to bite and sqwuak a lot, they'll get over it...but be sure to always socialize with ur conure, mean or nice.

  • Maybe you hear the budgie in the background, Pearl.. lol He talks alot!!

  • Not in this video, but in others he does.. lol

  • What a sweet little friend! I love the toe nibbling. Skippie is adorable.

  • Thank you, he is a cuddle bug. This was 2 weeks after we got him..

  • hahaaha my brother is like

    why does she have claws?

  • lol..The better to hang on to you with!!

    Cute!!!

  • wtf he is mocking u

  • ok will do!

  • hi, im getting one in 8 or 7 weeks a hand-fed hand-tame male! i'm getting it a cage that measures 30x18x62! for 169 dollars

  • im getting one. what would u sey are the best and worst things about them?

  • The Best list out weighs the bad by far. They are very playful, love to be pet, constant companion, can be paper trained, everyday they will do something new to make you laugh, loyal,Smart they catch on fast, Personality is Hugh! I can go on&on, the bad is sometimes they can be Nippy, not that bad, just say sharp NO and put him down."Never use his cage as punishment place"Get a dust buster, they are messy, like any pet. Hope I've been helpful.

    Good luck,Let me know.

  • thankyou very much. it is very helpful

  • very cute! my dad has just said i can get one and im wondering about the diet. can you give me the names of the food and how you give them to him! and where to get them(petsmart...etc). im so excited and trust me ive done easily 50 hours choosing and leaning about this bird. its just the diet(theres so much controversy about it ) so that would help alot;) thanks!

  • Hi Skippie came from Petsmart, he picked me.Just be sure they are Hand fed and hand raised, the diet they will already be on one, you can follow that for now, introduce other foods as you go. No chocolate or avocado(toxic)and easy on sunflower seeds. Pasta, rice, mashed potatoes,ect...teach his the word "Taste" so they learn to eat variety of foods. They love to eat,we keep food out all the time for them..and fresh water.

Hope this was helpful. good luck.

  • hi, beautiful green cheek conure! um what are the cage measurements and how many toys do you have in his/her cage?

  • That cage is for playing and toting him around, like the counter or family room or travel.. you can see his cage in Skippie roll over, or trying to put skippie on his cage.. that one is 16x20 with a stand, toys and perches..

    Thanks for your comment

  • love your nails and btw love him too

  • We spend alot of time holding him..I only had him one month in this video.. we love him to pieces.. I wish you luck with your bird

  • i just got one of these today and it has grey feathers on the back does that mean its young?

  • hehe my GCC does that! When he is on our collar he will roll over or fall down the front and land in our lap on his back

  • Great video, thank you

  • skippie is a cuddle bug
