I watched that band from the time they were charging $5 and they couldn't even fill a room until they were megastars filling stadiums in Seattle. Nirvana was a unique, never to be repeated event in the history of music: A completely uncompromising, truly alternative band that refused to sell out and chose to destroy itself and the scene it created instead.
