FYI For everyone that doesn't know about the pioneer DJM-800 the 2nd Red is roughly +13 db and the master 1 output (XLRs) does +22 db so roughly 9 db of headroom after the 2nd red is hit. As long as you aren't HARD into the red you are fine. You have an imaginary 3 extra bars above the ones you see there before you actually start clipping.

Ya some clubs have a limiter installed. Look, i know a lot of big name dj's who run the mixer into the red, i even done it myself, all i'm saying is i'm glad it's not my mixer (or speakers for that matter!!). Also, i'd liked to point out that mark is professional and i'm sure he knows what he was doing as he's being doing it for long enough so don't anyone go gettin their knickers in a twist...!

you can still run the mixer the red and make it sound good people. as long as your a couple of bars in the red you`ll be o.k. if the system is set up right then you can do this.
