  • You are all a bunch off stupid fucks!!! That do not have any feel for karate, first of all this was a very bad performance because for one thing the moving was very bad, everything also the POWER of the hit comes from the legs then transfered to the hips then the arms, their stance is bad, and they do not have a single combination. One reason y u can't make this more traditionall i because it will be more dangeruos and if you really want to practice the traditionl karate no one is stopping you!

  • The people doing Han yondan and Han sandan in the background were more interesting than the fight... Although, it was pretty funny watching the kid on the right rage...

  • you guys really need to step you game up

  • The red guy needs to stop displaying weakness o.o

  • @blugularis no, thats why they are movie stars. thats the only place they can kick ass.

  • Rooftops76 they do that to stop the match and tell them who got the point. when that lady shouts "Hajime" the round starts.

  • this is more like kick boxing, which is very common in karate

Why are their hands so low btw? they could get punched in the face

  • @070000591 their hand are low for a few reasons, 1) they are low ranks so they havent got in that habit yet

    2) if your hands stay low and out of an agressive look the oppenent tends to do the same and lower their guard (the more relaxed you appear to be the more relaxed they will be)

    3) the stances they are using allow them to use a full body block faster than the opponent can get there

4)they are baiting a trap, leave an area appearing to be open then when they go for it, punish them.

  • what does that lady keep stopping and yell at them for

  • @Rooftops76 in sparring (fighting) you get a point for every blow landed on the body (above the belt and on the front of the body) or on the head. once you get a point you brake apart and go again. (kinda like every point is a round, if compared to boxing)

  • @Rooftops76 i took southern yoshukua with/under the IKF

  • haha the asian pwned him hard

  • @MrTesla725 wow no offence but Kyokushin is the most incomplete karate style of all the types of karate

  • @deepakrai144 I think I just got to kyokushin karate classes... =(

  • @deepakrai144 How is Kyokushin incomplete...? The only thing it doesn't have is face punches in tournaments...? I don't see how that makes it incomplete :|.

  • i dun wanna do point BASED!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH now i dont know what to do =[

  • @hakuboshi1 what do u mean u don't wanna do point based?

all the other sports such as boxing, kickboxing, taekwondo, etc are all point based just like karate.

  • I know its point based, but I mean as far as round fighting versus a few flurry of punches first hit to gain points. Obviously in the other sports though its not as simple as this. Without knockouts, its judged through best execution or more dominance if a tko or ko is not possible. What im really trying to say is KUMITE!!!! if that helps you understand.. i guess I gotta start somewhere thoughso I cant complain..

  • @hakuboshi1 "flurry of punches"...ouch that was offensive.

First of all you are very judgemental... you should know that this type of kumite tests your control of your mental and physical body. In karate there also is a K.O. system but that is only for the experienced players.

  • Sorry :D I agree. I just mean that if I condition to take hits I want the application to be the same. It would disappoint me to take abuse in a gym or dojo and not take or recieve full contact in a match. "Testing ones ability, while applying what ones been taught fully in mind and body, pain and all". To me, it wouldnt feel like a win, unless it was certain through a tko or ko. Hits are nice, but if I don't win or lose giving my all or my opponent is unaffected it wouldnt feel real =[

  • @hakuboshi1 yeah i know how you feel...not getting to show your true power of your punch...i also want to beat the crap out of my opponents you know

  • can it also be possible that in its incompleteness in itself it is complete? Simplicity is sometimes the most effective means and easier to understand =] What would a complete martial art be? like ground skills and weapons as well?

  • @hakuboshi1 wait ...do u even do shitorai or shotokan???i mean do u even take classes?

  • no but...:D not yet, gotta find a shotokan school that apparently doesnt exist near my house anymore? lol

lemme alone i fail, but thats besides the point

  • @hakuboshi1 I highly suggest Kyokushin over shotokan / other martial arts for you. It gives you the real deal ;).

  • @corvanjer sorry sir, what you see shotokan by now is an art just a sport, but if you see traditional shotokan game, they're rule is 1 hit knock out. you just opened your mind in modern, but dont forget about the traditional. thank you

  • @martialartlover100 You also neglect traditional Kyokushin.

  • @corvanjer NO I NEVER NEGLECT BECAUSE, I AM A SHOTOKAN AND KYOKUSHIN :) I WELCOMED ALL MARTIAL ART, BECAUSE THERE NO STRONGEST MARTIAL, IT DEPENDS IN THE PERSON USING IT.. :) NEVER IN MY LIFE UNDERESTIMATED A MARTIAL ART:) OSSU

  • I do however condition on a regular basis, so Id know that with anything Id want to test and see results in ways they should be applied

  • What's Oscar from fish hooks doing here?

  • See comments my channel.

  • Seems like shotokan is very point based. They dont seem trying to knock each other out, but more score points on hits/kicks as they are very light based.

  • @HoracePL yeah it is point based...in the U.S. that is....in Japan or other places there are knock out system tournaments as well

  • @HoracePL its because if they make it full contact many karate practioners will get hurt so badly because of the power of their punches and kicks i had this classmate in our karate dojo punched him in the face full contact ended up in the hospital

  • i truly agree... but charging to defense requires more skill

  • i do shotokan karate to but they should not run away they should just charged to defensive

  • @BklynAssassin what belt are you in

  • @9362150487 i'm currently at brown belt...

  • @deepakrai144 wow thats good when did you start taking up shotokan karate?

  • @9362150487 about 4 years now and what about you are u taking any sort of classes?

  • @deepakrai144 i studied shotokan karate for a year and im taking my purple 4 exam this january
