@Cre8iveSignWorks the american side is the left side of the gorge, the candian the right. it is seperated by the bodies of water such as the lower (below the falls) and upper (above the falls) river.

@Cre8iveSignWorks . The Skylon tower (from which the video is being filmed) is on the Canadian side. The land on the *other side* of the water is America.

I am sure you were in Niagara Falls with your friends or family but allocated some time to go out on your own to film. Quite frankly, Niagara Falls would be a boring experience if you had gone out there alone :P
