Hi Swimstone the rest of the poem goes ...Crimson Rosella's flew in pairs or frolicked is what I mean twas the tree tops they claimed as theirs a mass of sullen green Vibrato filled deep cries of Oh! testament from above Just the call of a retched crow tis cruelty that they love Many times I’ve found my peace As the Gara passed me by May the thought of it never cease and may its waters never dry 1986
As the Gara passed me by I laid to fill my soul with water foul and Platapii in this moment that I stole Sweet smelling thalgara wood ensured my lungs were filled I washed my face before i stood and saw my troubles killed... Purusha Great to see your family having a beutiful day on the Gara It bought me much joy many years ago : )
Thanks for the nice verse Purusha2. Any more similar? We often go to Gara and the many other swimming places on the tablelands and N coast - there are heaps, and they're so diverse. Not much fun in winter though, so we go west to warm artesian water.
