@Xoxoqq :-) Thank you very much for clearing that up. I am about to do some research on that street, and at the same time preparing to listen to this song from a whole new angle. :-) Cheers
@Xoxoqq NO ... IT DEFINITELY IS HATE STREET NOT HAIGHT STREET, HE'S NOT REFERRING TO SAN FRAN AND WHEN YOU READ THE LYRICS ON THE ALLBUM COVER ... IT SAYS HATE STREET, FURTHERMORE HATE STREET MAKES SENSE AND IS IN LINE WITH THE REST OF THE SONG, HAIGHT STREET DOES NOT.
this was my milk and honey in the late 80s. Could pick up his records for a dollar in second hand shops in provincial Australia. Best music money could buy.
@666cfc At His Best (Australia 1977, Blue Goose, Re-released in 2005) features unreleased recordings from 1976: "Can't Get Away", "I'll Slip Away" (a re-recording of his first single), and "Street Boy". These are three beautiful songs, so yea, maybe it is worth it.
@Jordanspiegel WHY ISN'T IT SPELT THAT WAY ON THE ALBUM THEN?.... ALSO HAVE YOU READ THE LYRICS? IF THERE IS ANY REFERENCE TO HAIGHT STREET SAN FRAN.... THEN IT IS DEFINITELY A DOUBLE MEANING
cold fact. One of the greatest unknown albums of all time. Thanks Sixto glad you are still alive when many geniuses of your generation are gone. New Album coming out soon? same topics still around eh? War, Drugs, broken society not enough love and care for each other...how about an environmental album?
one of my homies showed me this song a week ago on his mp3 player... I thought the whole time i knew this song... and then i realized that it sounds like bob dylan :O
...how i didnt realize such a good artist before???
Wow i just "discovered" sixto i feel so stupid for not knowing about him before, but im only 20 can you really blame me lol anyways i will definitely do my part in making sure people know more about him, what a hidden gem :D
Yes! I count myself lucky to have heard this album when it was new in Australia in the 70's....thankfully it is becoming known to more people now...better late then never.
what the fuck are the chords for this song? i searched the internet and, when i couldn´t find them, tried to find them by myself, but everything sounds wrong!!! simply frustrating.... . anybody knows the chords? i love this song and would like to accompany myself on the guitar.
First off iff ya play along to this it's out of tune to a tuner so you have to allow for that. So probably best to play in D but not play along to the recording unless you want to tune your guitar into the recording...so basically it cycles on the following chords
thx alot, figured it out by myself when i thought about it... in my opinion, it sounds weird when i use the same chords in another tuning so i play it one step up, gives it another feeling

@hypothese
Put a capo on the first fret then strum a Dminor shape, then a F Major barre then shift it up to the 4th fret, then 7th fret and quickly to 6th fret.
