@reboh79 The headset cannot differentiate between Steam or any other software that's running on your PC. So if it works with some programs and not others, it's the program setting and not the headset.

@Gigaman1245 Be Careful not to Ram or force your 3.5mm male ends of Turtle Beach Headset into the female port hole on your computer.. It should slide in nice and easy with a little resistance every now and then.. but if you keep up. your likely to have transmission of data when the connection is complete. This is likely the cause. . You should have been more careful.. Hypothetically

@kaaspowns If you're using the mic input on the front of your computer, pretty sure that's the problem. Are you going straight into the computer or through a capture card or something else? If you're not going into the computer straight, it's likely that that's the issue.

@kaaspowns It could be, or it could be your motherboard. Do you have any USB devices connected physically near to the pink plug? If you do, that's a likely culprit.

Do these stretch out over time or do they always bend back in their original form? Don't know if I worded that well but with my headset now, just after wearing it for a few days, my head stretched out the band over my head so now the headset is loose on my head and falls off if I look down. @iGroby Headsets, like any material, will form to the shape of whatever they're put on most of the time. Typically the effect is very subtle though. If you believe your headset is not functioning properly, please contact support.

@BadTacticsDrummer No, because the PS3 does not send game sound out of the USB port. Only chat and mic come out of the USB port. For PS3, I suggest you look at our P11. If you want a headset for PS3 and PC, get the PX21.

@ataraba10 Some laptops have a single 4-pole jack instead of a mic and headphone jack. If your laptop has that kind of 4 pole jack, you'll need a splitter cable to separate the mic and headphone jacks. Check the owner's manual for your laptop.

@CameronS654321 It's a passive headset designed for PC. It has a volume control and mic mute. No chat and game volume. You'll need the PX21, X11 or X12 for those features.

@benn322 This headset does not have a USB plug. If you have a USB sound card that has a mic input on it, it will work with the Z1. Check out our Amigo II, which is one such sound card. However, honestly, at that point, you're going to spend as much money as buying a P11, which is a much nicer headset. If you want to play on PS3, just check out the P11.

@TOXiCSNiPEzHD @TOXiCSNiPEzHD If you're getting static and buzzing on the Z1, it's not the headset, it's your source. Try plugging it into the back of your computer instead of the front. If you have any USB devices plugged in near it, try moving those. The headset is picking up electronic noise from your system.

The Amigo II is a USB soundcard. It uses a USB port to send you an audio signal. It doesn't amplify, though. It would likely fix the buzzing issue.
