  • Thumbs up if you muted...

  • Looks like some fun easy climbing. Nice moves. Not sure about the "yeehaw" music.

  • Cool clip! I love the music as well! :-)

  • I'm thinking about mounting the camera on the side of the the helmet to avoid rocks.

  • Awesome video, and good music (I'm not normally a country boy but it went well with the vid). Never thought of using a GoPro for climbing...awesome perspective.

  • awesome vid, awesome music! check out my snorkeling vid with kenny chesney music! I think the headstrap is fine, the rod is stupid to use becuase the lens on the headstrap bangs enough against the rock on its own theres no way ud have to look straight up the whole climb.

  • The attachment rod would be a nice perspective, watch out you don't scratch the case lens on the rock. I've gotten a few scratches on mine. And if you don't like the music I really don't give a fuck.

  • I wonder what it would be like if you attached a rod to your helmet to get the camera further away for a different perspective?

  • C'est quoi ce noeud d'encordement. On ne s'encorde JAMAIS avec un mousqueton quant on grimpe en tête. :-((

  • the music was lame - good cam work though

  • you guys would get so many hits with a video like this if it wasn't for the music! Just take it off and blast this video with thousands of views

  • This climb is called First Move 5.8. It is a great warmup. For the record the Rough N Readies climb's range from 5.7 through 5.12. Around the corner (to the left) of this climb lies Halitosis Monkey 5.10 b/c (I believe) which IMHO is the best climb at the crag. On the other side of this climb (to the right) is The Claw 5.11 (5.11+ if you do the crux directly from the last clip to the chains) which is also another Rough N Ready classic.

  • To be honest I can't remember the name of the route. Its at the Rough N Readies just 15 min west of Las Cruces north of the Corrilitos exit.

Theres probably 500 yards on the face ranging from 5.7 to like 5.9+, 5.10 ish. I believe this one was a 5.7 as we were warming up but the GoPro ran out of memory before we got to some of the multi pitch climbs.

    Good luck with your GoPro

    Cheers!

  • nice climb...once I turned off the audio (never been a fan of country - to each their own). Which route was it...all those nice slab jugs to choose from - 5.7?

I just got the GoPro HD Hero for kiteboarding, but after seeing how well it worked for you climbing, I plan to give it a try on my next climb.
