  • thats not an engine... that there is artwork

  • glade it dose not have a stupid ass LS1 in it

  • Car porn

  • the 26b has displacement and creates as much crank power as a reciprocating engine. Its different and the revs so high its like music to the ears!

  • @shodaimexors 4 rotor is more like ear bleeding loud...

  • mad mike

  • why does he choose to use an n/a custom built engine? how is it better than a smaller and cheaper 2 or 3 rotor engine with a big turbo? i know it is awesome, but i was just wondering why.

  • @JeremyPetho sometimes people do things just to be different. The 4 rotor sounded awesome.

  • @tyndago I would kill for a 4 rotor n\a fc w\ITB's

  • @JeremyPetho easier to drive easier to mend.

  • @JeremyPetho If you have to ask, you will never understand. Why drive a ferrari when you could buy a skyline, put a big turbo on it and beat ferrari's?

  • @zuum510 haha yeah, i would rather a skyline than a ferrari

  • @JeremyPetho it increases fan base. everyone will know him as the guy with the 4 rotor rx7 or mad mike.

  • @JeremyPetho if its for drifting, its possible he didnt want the power jolt from turbo spool to throw off the slide, whereas with the n/a motor, he doesnt have to worry about it, who knows.

  • @JeremyPetho one, custom built the motor, so u know that its put together right, and two, turbos = more heat, more heat = more likely to overheat, more likely to overheat = mechanical failure, especially on a rotory, turbos on a rotory that are either being raced or drifted are just waiting for disaster...

  • @JeremyPetho cuz n/a shits on turbo in terms of reponse and power delivery and all that kinda stuff....all the kinda stuff you want for drift/track/etc. Only time it doesn't really matter is drag racing. There is obviously exceptions to this rule but usually only when lots of money is injected (eg. super responsive 1980's F1 turbo engines seemed to have no lag).

Only real reason im saying all this is to further express my hatred for turbo's/lag, as i use a turbo car for drift/track

  • @JeremyPetho well.. remember that turbos got their own lag.

  • @JeremyPetho no lag = instant response. plus without the added pressure the apex seals last longer. he can run this motor longer with more reliability. plus the 4 rotor sounds absolutely insane. not to mention his rev range is near unlimited

  • @JeremyPetho no turbo lag, and better lower end hp and torque. it is heavier though, its hard to argue which is better.

  • @JeremyPetho and you can always slap on a fat turbo on a quad rotor engine.

  • @JeremyPetho possibly because, for a drift car, a big turbo would be harder to keep on boost and harder to control while drifting vs. the wider and smoother powerband of an NA motor?

  • @JeremyPetho 4 rotor P port has the power of v12 with half the weight... instant power instead of waiting for boost to build... more reliable...

  • @JeremyPetho your question is why ? my answer is why not? :)

  • @JeremyPetho If Red Bull is your sponsor you can do what ever you want. Dont even think twice..

  • @JeremyPetho because with a n/a engine, the hp is instant at a pretty fluent rate at any rpm, a 2 or 3 rotor with big turbo, will take time to spool up,and that will be a problem if he's quickly going on and off the gas, and it will only get hp at a higher rpm, and, if he just putting about half way in the gas, and the turbo spools up, he's gonna have to recorrect because he already had his set amount of hp, and hundreds more just flooded in and made the wheels spin harder.

  • @JeremyPetho 2 13bs weildd togeather = differnt i home made origanal how many quad rotors do u see in the drifting world......... anuf said

  • thats mad mikes BadBoi

  • nice one

  • A muffler doesnt belong on a 4 rotor car come on now....

  • He really beat it to shit that time...

  • That is one beat up drift car

  • waaaaah..crazy..i like it

  • 4 rotors is equivalent to v12 right?

  • @airsofter117 Well, I don't know if you could call them "equivalent", though I don't know exactly what you're refering to, but, both a 12 cylinder engine and 4 rotor rotary engine have 12 combustion chambers, if that helps at all.

  • @airsofter117 4 Oranges is equivalent to 12 apples, right?

  • @airsofter117 though the rotor has 3 sides, it actually only has twice the power stroke per rotation of a four storke piston engine

  • @blairknight11 .what van was that..???

  • no turbos....no care

  • WARNING!!! DO NOT TRY AND DRIFT WITH AN UNBAFFLED GAS TANK.... :( WRECKED LAST NIGHT

  • 2 mpg ;)

  • I got to drive a 3 rotor RX-7 at Laguna Seca and almost shat myself on the straights...

  • new zealand style

  • The idle sounds like a volcano!

  • from memory makes about 560hp atw if you want one of those engines expect to pay over $70,000 NZD for one

  • @bored10159 That's the rage buy price. sticking two 13b's together with home CNC made parts is much cheaper imo. Look at what the homebrew model jet community is doing here on youtube, that make custom jets with Compressor and turbine stages for only a couple of thousand.

  • from memory makes about 560hp atw

  • how much hp?

  • i love it and want to make babies with it

  • Mad Mikes.. I got to see his RX-8 in Abu Dhabi :D

  • this is mad mikez ride

  • Can I bang it?

  • waht did you do to my car

  • It's not so commonly known that GM licensed the rotary from Mazda was considering making the Corvette a mid-engined rotary in the '70s. They created a fiber glass prototype with their own rotary (three rotors I believe), and a steel bodies prototype with 2 rotors. I'm pretty certain the two engines were built by GM so technically, if they still exist, there are two GM rotaries that were meant for two Corvettes. Weird, but true.

  • and 20B Triple Rotor RX7 with a MASSIVE Turbo that Runs a Low 7ET almost a 6 Second Pass 7.17sec ?

  • Those to still underestimate look in youtube RX-7 FD 4-Rotor Drag run and or RX-7 4 Rotor On The Dyno

  • nice to see one of these WITHOUT an LSx in it.....fucking american cocks

  • QUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!

  • everything redbull does with motorsports is great. drink is toxic piss though.

  • that thing might get gallons per mile instead...

  • woulld you imagine this monster with a supercharger think about it rotary engines are know for their amazing redline shit a superchager would be fucking undrivable lol but by its self it dont need one to whoop some ass Rotary all day!

  • @supraelite07 Amazing redline? Compared to what? The highest rotary I’ve seen was turbocharged 4 rotor that made 1600HP and rev about 8000RPM. There are any number of 4, 6, and even large 8 cly engines that rev tighter than that, and we haven’t even got into the deep end of the rpm pool, F1. Not saying 8000RPM isn’t a lot, but piston engines can still rev higher than rotary engines.

  • best rx7 made!!

  • guys i know shit all about cars so please dont attack me but i herd that rotor's are powerful as hell but dont last long at all is that true?

  • @Th3Best0ne Rotary has had reliability and longevity problems but it seems like once the aftermarket really got a hold of them these things have improved greatly. I’d say, when you classify a rotary engines displacement in a fair way to a piston engine they make just as much horsepower, a bit less torque, burn more fuel, the engine‘s are lighter for their output and can usually achieve pretty high RPM’s fairly easily. That’s my take on ’em.

  • @Th3Best0ne

you can get 300,000km on the stock 13b with care. Although heavily ported rotary engine's reliability goes right out the window. The reduced strength in the rotor housing can drop their lifetime to 5,000km in extremely tuned applications(see monster port, or J port).

  • @jhadwarrior thats funny you say that because the 26b mikes been running for two years strong with no engine faliure haha and its peripheal port.

  • How many MPG will this have?

  • @AdMiRaLeDpIeTt probably 40-45 mpg on the highway.

  • @tyndago bull

  • @tyndago Hahaha "40-45 mpg" a standard RX-7 doesn't even get that.

  • @tyndago ahaha lmao 16mpg if hes easy on the gas and cruise at 55mph

  • @tyndago sure thing pal

  • @tyndago haha more like 0.4 mpg!

  • @tyndago lies

  • @tyndago my two rotor rx8 barely gets 24MPG you think a race car can get 40?

  • @sunnyjason maybe 40 GPM :)

  • @tyndago 1.1l 12a stock gets half of that on the highway. that 4rotor might get 10mpg

  • @tyndago

Haha I sure hope that was a typo, there's no way in hell a 4 rotor car would get anywhere near that, considering an rx8 (a 2 rotor car) would be luckkyyyy to even get 24 mpg highway. And you're telling me a 4 rotor engines gets double that? Doesn't make any sense, seems like you'd be lucky to get 15-20 mpg on this.

  • @tyndago he must have a giant magnet to stick it to the back of buses! lol

thats the ultimate fuel savings device right there:P

  • @tyndago 40-45 MPG? You're joking right? This is a rotary.. 40-45 GPM would be more like it.. - but seriously - guessing on the bsfc - assuming standard gearing - 11-12 mpg highway MAX

  • @aidanppp ive seen 35-40 with a 3 rotor in a miata. the 26B rotary is supposed to be very gas efficient for what it is as well. And it needed to be since the LeMans races have a fuel limit.

  • @aidanppp it was a joke. I mean seriously, who asks how many MPG a quad rotor RX-7 drift car gets? It gets driven for 30 seconds at a time.

  • @aidanppp i see you do some tunning..lol

  • @aidanppp i was in christchurch way bak in the day when his rx7 was snow camo (Lookd way better i rekn) and he said it used a tank in 15 minutes on the track

  • @aidanppp Actually, the 4 rotor Mazda 26B that raced in and won the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans had used considerably less fuel than the competing piston engined cars in its' class. Though, mind you, it used three spark plugs, versus the usual one or two in Mazda's production rotaries, resulting in much more efficient ignition of the air/ fuel mixture...

  • @tyndago ur a thick do u know anyting

  • @AdMiRaLeDpIeTt 40-45?? not likely man my stock 12a only got like 17.........

rotary's looove fuel....... that 4 rotors prob lucky to get the gas mileage my stock 12a had with the power that motors packing .......... hahahahahaha

  • @AdMiRaLeDpIeTt

Im not sure what a 4 rotor gets, but its sure as hell not 40mph. I dont know where that guy got that idea.

Mine is a two rotor and gets 12.5mph in sixth gear if I behave and do the speed limit. If I get into the throttle, well, the rotary is like a two stroke, and not much different then a turbine jet, It almost constantly sprays fuel. It makes heat, horsepower, and insane RPMs when you dump gas into it. You can watch the gas gauge move while driving. It Drinks like a jet.

  • @AdMiRaLeDpIeTt i would be shocked if it got more than 3 or 4 mpg at best

  • @AdMiRaLeDpIeTt

    probably 40-45 mpg... OF OIL.

  • @dodoz44 how about Direct Injection and PURE Hydrogen?!

  • @AdMiRaLeDpIeTt ITs very likely that its illegal to ride on street roads, as these produce trucks of power the ussual 4rotor WILL shit over any traditional pushrods engine in performance mpg, this machine like most other 4 rotors will terminate most ferrai's lambo's if not all, don't laugh i'v seen some 4rotors do just under 7secs into 6.## sec 1/4mile

  • @X3lfl3X how about diesel?

  • @AdMiRaLeDpIeTt Some 35 years ago mercedes got out the old diesel engine and gave it a polish, they ran the engine in a car (test car i can get some extra info from) at 250kmp/h...... for 64 hours strait on a track, diesel its self has great lastability but requires different combustion style to be honest i cannot say much about what i don't know research is needed lol, but the engine is nothing compared to rotories or 4 rotors.

  • @X3lfl3X Meanwhile, in the eastern German city of Cottbus, the Wankel Supertec company is working on a common rail diesel version of the Wankel motor and a range of stationary engines for industrial applications. These will run on either diesel, biofuel or kerosene and are set to go into production in 2009, that' last year and almost 2years.

  • @AdMiRaLeDpIeTt Thanks for introducing more information thats awesome! i also heard a rumor that the Wankel motor has gone intoresearch or rather alternative developers (which i don't know the name of) decided that "it" the motor could also be Rendered possible with/as a water driven but its a possible myth..

  • @AdMiRaLeDpIeTt Who Cares!

  • @tthhnnee why do you trust ICE Engines, how can you ever been such a supercar?

  • @AdMiRaLeDpIeTt Put it this way, when it was originally a 3 rotor setup, he'd get about 5-6 laps out of Pukekohe Raceway here in lil ol' NZ on a full tank. Thats about between 1 and 1:20 min per lap under grip race conditions, with a long sweeper and 3 corners for competition drifting. An extra rotor probably doesn't help those numbers! Still an awesome sounding beast though.

  • i never understand rotorary engines....

  • @GreenKoldAid Info is everywhere, its basically a rounded edge cog that rotates in a circle fashion inside an odd shaped housing 1st section of rotation is compression 2nd section of the rotation fuel is pushed into the compressed area as it turns then is combusted in the 3rd turn (this is off my head i forgot to watch the actual format) and then the exuast or burnt fuel is pushed out of the engine, the motor itself is very simple but effective and require's no pushrods etc etc

  • too bad he trashed the car

  • sickest rotary i have ever seen.... imagine street legal....mmmmmm

  • This was built in New Zealand mate, other country's trying to rob us of success. You american's are just like the aussie's, built by PPRE in New Zealand. But car is stationary in USA and he's got his RX8.

  • yeh its mad mikes. hes got a new rx 8 now tho.. i think

  • @richardwalker1234567 buddy of mine had a nice long chat with him and his tech crew, the fd was having trouble entering the US customs so they were forced to use the rx8

  • BEST SET UP ROTARY EVER

  • haha some dumb cunt thinks a usa muppet drive that haha what a twat hhhaaahaahahaha

  • @Boogonomotry it sounded great. Best sounding rotary ever.

  • aka demiks ur a crack head boi mad mike whiddetts from new zealand get it right.. he races madbull (the rx7)internationally and he blats his 20b turbz rx8 in in the d1nz back hme in new zealand fool,,, sound like 1 of thm ozzy fools trynr claim evrythng of ourz biarcch!!

  • @MRROTANGR this car aint from there dam ur a noob it races alot and was build by ozzys yes but for an american owner and only cause at the time there was no american shops that new anything about a 26b cause all they know is a 13b

  • @akademiks604bc You are a cock aren't you! Built by ozzys for an american?? What shit are you smoking there bro? Are you seriously trying to start an argument on you tube? Its a NZ car, built in NZ for a NZ'er. Get it right next time fool

  • @TheChopperLine u have no idea and believe to much of the shit u read online

  • @akademiks604bc Just watch the video response above. Enough said

  • i bet in the beginning he pressed the gas pedal with a feather.......

  • quad throttle bodies??? if so damn thats nice

  • gay rims.

  • Can someone tell me How a rotor motor works? i realy want to know

  • @SSFproductions1 look it up, your on youtube, its as easy as typing in "how a rotary motor works"

  • is that mad mikes?

  • @waynekatzyo Yes, its Mad Mikes car from last year.

  • @akademiks604bc madmike is a new zealand racer, one of the top in the world in their drift category, that car goes all over the world to compete... it is from new zealand.

  • wow ur a real twit the mad mike rx7 is out of the usa but it travels all over the world

  • that is mad mikes rx7 and its not from newzeland the announcer didnt even have an accent so it was usa bro

  • @akademiks604bc the car was in the US for the Red Bull World Championships.

  • @akademiks604bc

ur a muppet its from nz forsure

    mikey is riping up usa

  • @akademiks604bc the car is from new zealand............how could u get that wrong..

  • @akademiks604bc didnt have an accent? sounded like he had an american accent to me?

  • @uniden999 man ur reLY DUMB LIKE I SAID THE CAR IS FROM THE USA BUT U SEEM TO NOT BEABLW TO READ SO WELL

  • @akademiks604bc the car is from New Zealand, ur reLY DUMB (you're really dumb)

  • Wanna hear the sound at high rev :DDDD +++ big op red bull

  • PPRE

  • @Haydoss13 rx8 is a 13b

  • yeah i know nothing about rotary but i know one 13b can burn tires all on its own and 4 of whatever the hell those are will beat the living piss out of what i drive as well as that internet trolls mom's van or whatever he drives

  • @aji8 I am not a rotary fan, but this thing sounds so cool. Like an F1 car. Just pissed off.

  • @aji8 i hate them too. but this one not so much this engine was band from racing because it won way to offten in lamans racing.... its not a engine that brakes. though when it does its gona be killer expensive

  • WARNING!!...........This video carries an infection...........its called the aji8 bullshit bug.....careful now.....its contagious!!!

  • I bought a 4 rotor E-shaft back when I had my 3rd gen rx7. I will likely build a car around it in the next few years. 4 rotors FtW!

  • This heavy pig of an engine is a joke if it only puts out a bit more than 500 at the wheels.

  • it looks like the motor actually out lasted the car

  • How can you tell? I guess it is that ESP that rotards have that they can tell thoses things and no one else can..LOL

  • @aji8 Ha Rotards, You think of that all by yourself did ya?? Dick........

  • @3shacks1house

No I can't take credit for a common and perfect description of most of the rotary enthusiasts who live in fantasy land about a junk engine.

  • @aji8 talking shit on another rotary vid I see, quit trolling you low life sack of shit.

  • @HeavyGhost I see aji8 just cant get over it. I dont believe I have seen someone hate something so much as to spend all this time typing opinions that are not facts. I believe aji8 is just crazy

  • @3shacks1house Just ignore the spammer and he will go away.

  • Wow quad rotor, even more apex seals to fail and have to replace.

  • @aji8: Do you honestly go around and say the same thing?

I've seen quite a few identical comments from you.

  • Well done N/A

  • Did you ever hear a F1 engine ?

  • it sounds like one when it's doing 9 thousand rpm, believe me.

  • Please write this in the search bar and than comeback and ask him again :) " Mad Mike at 4 & Rota nats 09 "

  • Makes 513.4HP at the wheels and its non turbo

  • i bet that thing makes SICK hp's

  • Daum, that gotta be a rebuilders wet dream.

  • drinks methanol?

  • @emtrixdk chugs

  • Comment removed

  • its a highly modded and tuned rotary. thats just what happens, and personal preference i guess.

  • I would do unspeakable things to own that car. Seriously. Funneling fire ants into my ass would be nothing knowing a quad rotar fd sits in my driveway b/c i can't afford to fill the fuel cell up twice a day.

  • @terribleoneprimopro thats funny

  • wow 4-rotor is a killer. I can't imagine how fast it is.

  • aww man looks quite beat up. i hope its fixed asap

  • a work of art

  • How f*ck*ng sweet is this? A 4 rotor n/a engine... lovely!

  • It's supercharged.

  • erm no...

i see 4 seperate air-intake filters + 4 seperate butterfly valves + 4 pipes directly leading into the engine.

Any kind of forced aspiration should be installed between the air-filters and the butterfly valves.

This is the real world not your playstation...

  • @un5een83 Hahaha nicely said

  • @goonsack101 lol actually no its not its n/a with quad throttle bodys

  • @wax333 No, its super charged.
