  • this is what angels sound like

  • ő az új ella fitzgerald...

  • The Big Deal is that fans of high-quality music are tired of being bombarded with pop divas like Rhianna, Beyonce, Brittany Spears, and others who are talented in their own right, but tend to produce monotonous music. Spalding is trail blazing through the music industry, following in the footsteps of artists like Amel Larrieux, Corrine Bailey Rae, and Liz Wright, who all need a space where they can flourish and be appreciated by people who recognize exceptional talent.

  • Yeah , I Agree.

  • O No U Dient!? Did you seriously mention 'Corrine Bailey Rae' in the same sentence as Amel Larrieux & Liz Wright? I was actually listening to you until that point. . .

  • i know right lol

  • Saw her last night at Berklee with her trio-WOW! she's got it all going on-such a creative force in such a young body! This is what I had hoped from Norah Jones but alas she can't hold a light to Esperanza. This girl is the real deal! I see a bright present and future for her and she is already a dynmaic force and role model for the younger players/singers at Berklee as witnessed by the audience last night.

  • I think the big deal is that she's a part of a generation who, in general, hasn't been exposed to and/or can't appreciate this type of music. I know plenty of young jazz musicians who are really good, but there are very few who are as dedicated to this art as she is. Not to mention the obvious: she's a woman, she plays stand-up bass while singing, she sings beautifully, and she's very pretty. I, and many other young people, are very inspired by her.

  • @ajlulover i'm a black girl that plays sax and i'm im starting to play more jazz than classical. she's kind of a light at the end of the tunnel.if i work hard i can have musical freedom like esperanza.

  • @sax3740 And that's all it takes: hard work and a genuine love for the music you're playing. Good luck to you :-)

  • its not only her beastliness that people are realizing...you dont see many women 1st of all doin wut she's doin, but its about her accomplishments also...goin to berklee at like age 15-16 and then bein a teacher there at age 20? who else do you kno that does that?

  • Great Work and Esperanza? Wow..Ray Brown is prob looking down from the heavens an sayin, Damm! She has it all...Bravo

  • How in the hell does she play bass and sing at the same time. Unbelievable!!

his girl is a Genius. Wow! I don't think people realize how special she really is. Incredible!!!!! There's Micheal Jordan and then there is Experanza.

  • im gonna ask her to marry me then we can trade chops on bass

  • Wait in line Buddy!!!lol. Im not at you

  • im not mad at u

  • Wow, so absolutely beautiful! Esperanza is such a spirited and full hearted musician...she is fantastic and inspiring and has an amazing band as well. Really nice video too!
